  1. Getting things back on track.... Regardless of who is on the board going forward, an EGM is required to properly elect that board, sort out the rules issue and ensure the organisation is legal and compliant. If those currently claiming entitlement to be on the board believe they are the right people to do that, then they can stand for election along with anyone else who steps forward. Denying the members that right whilst continuing to defiantly operate in abeyance is not only damaging the society, it's damaging individual reputations. An EGM is going to happen, that cannot be prevented. Better for the society though that they call it and it happens in a timely fashion, than cause further delay and damage to the society (and themselves) by dragging it out.
  2. Club put on FB tuesdays game is now in jeopardy. So yes makes the decision not to rearrange a few weeks ago look very silly indeed
  3. Absolutely no reason why today's game could not have gone ahead, We now face 5 of our last 12 games being midweek, and as I am often away during the week due to work commitments, I expect to miss the home ones, which is frustrating and calls into question the value of my season ticket. I don't blame the club, but the SPFL were short sighted and premature about this weekend. The traffic chaos ended yesterday, so they should have waited and reviewed things yesterday lunchtime. Rant over!
  4. We can go back to using the regular bus then.
  5. Yes, and Davie Balfour is taking care of that option should it be needed.
  6. There has been a fair bit of interest for these offers so if you are interested or know somebody who might benefit book soon to avoid disappointment.
  7. You may need to hire this !!
  8. Just noticed there that Ryan Williams has left Ottawa Fury and has bizarrely signed for Paysandu in the second tier of Brazilian football!
  9. Another reason to have a single body administer the game in our small nation.
  10. I mentioned this on the last page. The SFA and SPFL seem to be taking two very different approaches to their matches this weekend.
  11. Assuming no extension to the season, there are now only 8 Saturdays left, one of which will be taken up with the Irn Bru final, and 12 league matches to fit in. Hope our lads are fit and able to cope with almost two matches a week, with all the travelling involved, and that's without any further call offs for weather. Surely a case for better scheduling throughout the season including better use of 'international' week ends and 'spare' Scottish cup week ends. Not the ideal schedule for our late ( and forlorn) push for the play offs.
  12. living in Aberdeen the roads here are fine and travelled up to Elgin and back along the a96 today and the road was open gritted and black tarmac the whole way. Also the A90 is open and since Brechin is on the A90 what's the problem the same police are allowing fans to travel to Pittodrie as has been mentioned yet another farce.
  13. I drove up from Fife. Which has similar conditions to Brechin, not a bother once out my street. Unbelievable they called this game off. The traffic from Brechin to Inverness would hardly have had a major impact on the road network. Poor call by the police and clubs. About time we stopped being the nice guys and start doing what's best for us.
  14. It's maybe also worth observing that, at time of writing, all league games, run by the SPFL, are off while a few yards along the corridor, all four Scottish Cup ties, with their attendant TV money and run by the SFA, are still on. On the other hand maybe it's simply a case of the SFA not having noticed that it's been snowing because they are still looking for the "Morton ball".
  15. This end of season fixture pike up is likely to favour the Arabs who are the only team in the division with a squad large enough to be able to comfortably handle playing twice a week.
  16. I suppose if the police are advising that folk from the Brechin area should not travel, then there is little option but to call it off. Given the chaos there has been in some parts of the country it is understandable if on-going travel advise is on the "precautionary" side. How folk on the continent must laugh at us! A basic principle is a match should go on if:- 1. The pitch is playable 2. The access road and pavements around the ground are clear of ice and snow. 3. The away side assess that it is safe for the team to travel. Fans live all over the place and it will be safe for some to travel and not for others. It must be up to individuals to listen to advice and decide for themselves as to whether it is safe to travel or not. We are all accountable for our own decisions. I wonder how much money the club has spent on using the under soil heating to make the pitch playable only for the match to be postponed.
  17. Match postponed. ETA: Mixed feelings about this. The weather hasn't been that bad in Inverness so it does seem a bit odd to call it off. I appreciate there are travelling issues but as has been mentioned elsewhere ICT and RC fans often have to face these frequently throughout the year yet the SPFL don't seem to be bothered until things affect the central belt. That said, from a selfish point of view, not every ICT fan is based on Inverness so whilst most would probably get to the game okay other home fans, away fans, and indeed some of their players, would be struggling to get up from the Central Belt (and other areas) for the match. Another midweek fixture to try and cram into an increasingly congested fixture backlog won't be well received and we will likely see a much smaller crowd in attendance. Our small squad is really going to pushed to the limit until the end of the season.
  18. That is the sort of patronising comment usually made about us. It's no less patronising coming from one of our own fans.
  19. the amber weather warning is only on the east coast and the trains are running from perth to inverness and Dundee to Aberdeen then onto inverness the a96 is open and clear as is the a9. who else remembers the horrendous journey down to easter road for a league cup semi against hearts on a sunday with no public transport in worse conditions than now on the a9?
  20. How many times has there been horrible conditions on the A9 at the high passes whilst no concern at sea level, plenty. How many times has there been a concern for RCFC or ICTFC staff and fans during these times....not many. I'm not saying either situation is correct but double standards are in play. If the weather warning is less than amber then the game should be played.
