  1. Agree! How good was Polly running things in the middle. His best position and yesterday proved it. Happy with a point and we remain unbeaten. Word of praise for Willie Collum who let the game flow and was restrained with the cards Different class to Aitken last week.
  2. care to explain the last part of your comment?
  3. Agree totally with you on this IHE. Too many posters seem to have an agenda against the current board. This seems to be that they want the board to communicate on everything and anything even when it isn't required and would add nothing in terms of moving the club forward
  4. That was the best performance I have seen from Polworth and even when Vigers came on the only thing he could do was take him out!
  5. It's the low TV angle pal, hides the lack of RC quality ? thought we were superb, unfortunately just up against a very good Gk on the day as the rest of them were shyte
  6. Impressive 1st half. Easily the better team. Cannot fathom why we didn't freshen things up with more/earlier substitutions when we inevitably tired in the 2nd. Would have loved to see Daniel Mackay on earlier and Calder come on as well to stretch the game with their pace and energy.
  7. Perhaps the board should concentrate on getting the basics right first. The chairman is virtually anonymous when it comes to both the fans and the media and legitimate concerns remain unanswered and, thus far, it's far from clear what the new CEO is bringing to the party. The one thing the board has got right is the appointment of John Robertson who might not be a tactical genius but has repaired the hull of a sinking ship and got us sailing, once again, in the right direction sometimes I think despite the actions, or inactions, of the board rather than because of them. Credit to him for also being the one and only current public face of the club a role that surely should fall on others leaving him to concentrate more on football matters. Doug Mcgillivray, David Sutherland, Alan Savage and Kenny Cameron may all have made mistakes but they were all at least prepared to address the media and fans and explain themselves. The present incumbent only seems to break cover yo issue poorly worded statements apologising for mistakes and making hollow promises about doing better in the future.
  8. Great singing yesterday ... do we have words to our version of Allez, allez, allez?
  9. Ginger Jaggy has now had his match report published complete with Footage and Robbo interview.
  10. I think I need to lie down in a dark room for an hour having just rated Willie Collum as 'Good'. However, credit where it's due.
  11. Without Fox that would have been a drubbing for the moneybaggers.. Mind you, Ridgers did his own heroics at the end there.
  12. Apologies too quick to share the County one.....
  13. RCFC TV missed the wrestling and apparent punch by Graham on Donaldson early in the first half........
  14. I agree with the comments above. We bossed the first half, but didn't manage to take any chances, Second more even, but County finished stronger. Both teams will feel they could have won, so a draw probably fair. Polworth was my man of the match. Welsh did a real shift in midfield and Ridgers kept everything out. I agree, Calder for Doran after 75 would have made sense, but we never saw Calder warming up so perhaps not fully fit? Ridgers was his reliable self. The defence was solid in the main. Chalmers and Welsh looking increasingly good as our holding players. Polworth was the stand out, with Doran and Walsh both contributing. With more composure, Walsh could have won it for us in the second half. White worked hard and was a menace, A win would have been great but I'd have taken a draw before kick off, so reasonably happy and I enjoyed the game. Of our former players, I had forgotten Cowie was playing until he was subbed, Draper did little and should have been booked first half. Mckay was well handled by big Coll despite the early. Galen get which left Coll limping. Vigurs addd quality when he came on, but injuring Polly was unforgivable. The biggest surprise? Collum's performance! Very sensible refereeing keeping cards in his pocket as long as he could given how wet the pitch was. What's happened to Austin? Injured or out of favour?
  15. From the BBC match report: Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager John Robertson: "I thought we totally dominated the match for an hour, created all the best chances in the first half, played some lovely football and cut through them for fun. We just couldn't get it past Foxy - I thought he had a terrific game. "We played the better football, created better chances but just didn't take them. In the end it's a good point - it's away and it's a derby game but we would have liked to have won. But to come to a club that's spent double the budget we've spent and be the better side shows that we are going to be at the right end of the table." As ever, good summary from Robbo. Very happy to be the better side, at less than half the cost. Moreover, a younger side with more to come as they mature together.
  16. I wasn't at the game but on the match day thread I made the same observation. It is slightly unorthodox to wait until the 88th minute to make the first sub - wouldn't it have disrupted the understanding? Robbo has tacit knowledge in these matters and will have weighed it all up pitchside - there's a lot to be said for a 'feel for the game' in philosophy and even more so in its literal application here. This was a game we could draw and be the happier lot. To be balanced, it could be viewed as having not had faith in the subs - McCart and Calder, but I'm not sure subs would have resulted in a win, the draw was advantage ICT. Robbo has done fantastically, a £1m off the budget and we are well on target - and all signings making a mark. There is no reason why we can't win the league - but we need to stay injury-free and strengthen in January.
  17. Dominating first half performance. Just needed some passes to drop. Staggies came into it second half for me . Thought Ridgers made some very good stops. My wee boy got searched, but not me. He’s 12. WTAF? And yet still flares in the jail end..... good noise today, drowned em out. Happy with a point, let’s give them a proper welcome at TCS ??
  18. But We ARE the most successful club in the Highlands - and bantering windups are most welcome
  19. Happy with a good away point. The defence and midfield is looking strong and compact. We are becoming hard to beat and this bodes well for the rest of the season. The challenge is going to be how the tight squad deals with injuries and suspensions.
  20. Time to stop making such stupid boasts unless and until we are once more in a position to justify them. We may still be a point above County but that time still remains some way off.
