  1. The club was born from fans of either side, over time some others have come along. However the number has stagnated. There will be young fans who are pure ICT without following another other club and now hopefully they will reproduce to bring the next generation along. We can't rely on solely sperm and eggs in this situation. The club needs to batter the city with propaganda. Get the social media right, be in people's faces every day, I am in Kirkcaldy and have pals who are Raith fans and they are constantly sharing stuff from the club. I know more about what's happening at Starks park than my own team. Batter the schools and local football clubs with offers of tickets and players. Players should be out and about constantly at assemblies and gym sessions. Connect the club with the city and there will be a change. We can't just wait for fans to arrive. We need to connect with the city first. It won't require lots of money. Seats are empty, social media is a low cost way of advertising and players have plenty down time over the week. Time for excuses about merger and the city not being behind us are done. Let's get it done. Awooga

He scores a cracking goal then runs off to celebrate in front of the fans only to find that there aren't any. He missed us at that moment.
  3. Shorty , you quite obviously have no idea what the Travel Club is about If you would like to pop into the Sports Bar at any home game we will be more than happy to explain how it's run . You can't miss us our table is right opposite the main entrance to the bar.We look forward to meeting you .

Forget the fact we sold him ... why were we benching him when he was actually here!!

Very unlikely we even got 10 large for Oakley small change if he fired us up the league and in 2 a cup final I'd have made him stay myself was a crazy late sale with no time to line up a replacement !
  7. Bit late to the party with these comments but here we go... I felt we were worth a draw. Odd line up to begin with. 442 diamond with Welsh on the right and Chalmers on the left, Trafford sitting deep and Polworth supporting behind a front two of Austin and White. United were all over us right from the off and we struggled to contain them at times. However after the initial rush of United attacks we slowly started to gain a foothold and were able to contain them whilst starting to carve out a couple of decent chances of our although mainly through set pieces with Rooney and then White passing up perhaps our best chances of the first half. Ridgers nearly gave up a comedy goal when he crashed a clearance off an onrushing United player and the ball went spinning back towards the ICT goal but fortunately for us it was just wide. Second half saw United again start the stronger and they nearly bagged the opener when a cross / shot across goal looked to be heading in before Mckay arrived to batter the ball away. Chalmers then channelled his inner Messi to dance inside a couple of United players and poked a shot towards goal. Not sure how close it was to going in but it seemed to be cleared off the line. Then came the moment that changed the game. I had said to my pal that, as much as I love Donaldson, he is still prone to a brain fart but normally it's something daft like a slack pass out of play for a throw in but this time it was much more costly. With Pawlett having received the ball inside the penalty area Donaldson went crashing through him to try and win the ball, which he did, but you cannot come through the back of an opponent like that. Clark stepped up to send Ridgers the wrong way. Pawlett then had a brain fart himself when he clattered McHattie when already on a yellow card and he was duly sent off. Doran came on to give us more natural width (obvious joke is obvious) on the wing and he sent in a wonderful cross which was met by Austin (who I had forgotten was on the pitch in the second half) but he couldn't make a decent connection and the chance was easily saved. That was probably our best chance to get on level terms save for a late Donaldson effort which was deflected and had the United keeper scrambling to tip it over. Whilst I felt we deserved a draw it was another case of not creating enough and not taking the few chances we did create. Despite the odd set up and playing central midfielders on the wings I thought both Welsh and Chalmers did well there, Polworth had a reasonable game as did Mckay. White and Austin didn't really get much service for most of the game and when they did they weren't clinical enough. If that was Uniteds full strength team then that gives me a bit of confidence for Sunday as we, in theory, won't play that same line up / formation so you'd like to think we will be better but maybe I am being overly optimistic (for once).

    Probably the accountant's ?
  9. I would like to see us go for by going with an attack minded 4-4-2. Ridgers Rooney, Donaldson, McCart, Tremarco Doran, Walsh, Chalmers, Polworth White and Austin. I think John is likely to favour the 4-5-1 though so something along the lines of : Ridgers Rooney, Donaldson, McCart, Tremarco Doran, Walsh, Chalmers, Welsh, Polworth White.

I was pretty disappointed that Oakley left but the club needed the money, he was out of contract at the end of the season and wanted to play in the Premiership. Not exactly a combination of factors that typically ends up with the player staying.

    some goal too.
  18. For your information the Supporters Travel Club already pays for their own travel to the games. We take nothing financial from ICTFC, in fact by organising Supporters buses we are actually adding to the overall club experience.
  19. Calls from United for a minutes applause on the 31st Minute on Sunday
  20. I think you will find a club has lots of other expenses. Running hospitality, corporate stuff, outside advisors etc. Some of which generate money and some of which don't.

Rangers (sevco) need to take positive action to show they are serious about their anti bigotry stance. I fear that they will continue to gloss over the issue as they have done previously - I mean can they really commit to positive action when their 2nd kit has a diagonal sash design and their 3rd is orange!!! Celtic are guilty too, although they try to play the victim they are just as culpable what with their 'traditional' Irish singing , and latterly falling out with UEFA over their Palestinian flags. Put them in a league of their own and they can play each other in perpetuity. No one would miss them.

For the boys sake folks just accept that he has had to retire due to persistent injury problems and his old club seem to be supporting him (not his fault). JR had to get Jake off the books because of some plonk giving him a huge contract so he actually saved the club money.

It’s good that Oakley has started well and Rice. I liked them both. Not everyone who leaves us deserve the ‘curse’ except the odd one at RC
  24. Maybe the club could introduce a cost cutting initiative in the boardroom. Replacing Diet Coke with tap water for the local press would save on the supermarket bill at least. Every bit helps no matter how little. Dougal
