  1. https://youtu.be/MlpXnzQk-Ck for anyone who doesn't have Premier Sport. And no, it's not a rerun of an old game.
  2. Great effort by an understrength team, a moral victory and an encouraging performance unlucky lads
  3. Delighted by the performance of the team. They matched Hearts who have a budget 10 times ours for the full 93 mins. Other than a dodgy refereeing decision couldn't have hoped for a better start. Especially since a lot of the youth players wee starting that will surely give them confidence they can compete. Plus hearts have had 9 pre season games to get up to speed. Hope shane is ok and will be back soon.
  4. A better result than many, including me, had anticipated. Much to take encouragement from.
  5. I agree entirely. Hearts were the better team, particularly second half when we struggled to keep the ball, but we only lost to a soft penalty with 7 players missing, Keatings only on the bench and Sutherland injured before half time. It is still effectively preseason for us and hopefully we improve as fitness and sharpness improve and we get players back. It is better than the last time we lost to them in this cup. Yes, a better performance and a win would have been good but we should not be too harsh on them (even Toddy despite his misses). Thanks to Jack for the link. Watched it on YouTube on tv as a result: never watched Vlad tv before!
  6. Hearts, with all their additional finance should be better plus they have played a lot more pre season games so will be ahead of us fitness wise. Nothing like our full strength team either so as long as fitness and performances improve over the next few games, I'm happy with that.
  7. ....Carling ? 🤢😉
  8. Very decent performance in the circumstances. Much to be encouraged about. The downside is the way that football and footballers are being treated by the powers that be. The ruling that despite all the close physical contact during the game you can't have a much needed, socially distanced shower after the game is absolutely outrageous.
  9. Bloody hell cannot believe the negativity on here. There were 6-8 first team regulars out, we had 3 18 years old and 17 year old. We’ve had 2 games as opposed to Hearts6 - they had 2 internationalists. That was incredible effort. Might not have been pretty but it showed guts. ok I just read the first page!
  10. I am happy with that start, a lot to build on with a young team but we will improve if we can keep the players fit.
  11. Well, we actually played a bit in the last 10 minutes and created a couple of half chances. So that was encouraging. Onwards and upwards, we'll be better when we get all our players fit.

That's the UK parliament it won't cover Scotland for changes to the rules
  13. Encouraging performance from a very young team showed a lot of energy and never gave up the downside for me was their distribution to often the forward pass never found the intended target and was picked up by a Hearts player. The Penalty was never a penalty the speed of the ball from a short distance and the fact that our players arm was across his front meant he was a narrow as he could no part of his arm / hand was away from his body. The four Pundits working for Premier TV all stated no way was it a Penalty and even said that the referee was guessing as he could not see it , and the linesman who was looking right at it should have. John Robertson in his interview said the same never a penalty and ref was guessing. Neilson of course says if it hits your hand its a penalty - I think he would have been of a different opinion had it been against his player. Hearts of course deserved to win but a lot of Plus points for Caley. So the ref robbed of at least 1 point and maybe 2 if we won the Penalty shoot out
  14. You’re quite right Robert. I happened to open up and read Caley 100 and started to type. This keyboard warrior is off to bed. Apologies!
  15. You on the same thread? Read the posts since full time. All very supportive!
  16. Same here as reflected in my NPL prediction.
  17. Agreed Robert, could have been a lot worse and good to see Mark Ridgers looking quite sharp - promising...
  18. Steven Maclean total clown of a ref.... lad had his arm across his body
  19. I agree, with 6 experienced players and young Kennedy missing, if we hold our own tonight we will have done very well. Presumably Keatings not fully fit. I see Toddy is 77: first time we have had a number like that? If Alan is watching, Storey is back wearing 17! Also shocking they are not allowed to shower after the game. Travelling home straight after the game is likely to cause more niggly problems or illness. The powers that be must sort that out and quickly!
  20. If these lads can carry this off it will be sensational and yet it is possible so come on ict.

Not the worst thing in the world as long as we properly use these cup matches to get fully prepared for the vital league campaign ahead.
  22. I wouldn't expect too much after his comments from before the friendlies, we're still not up to speed and the team is still to gel. No injuries is probably higher on his wish list. Hopefully we get an idea of the best 11starting to come together.
  23. His agent must've been peddling those rumours hard.
  24. All football clubs are hemmoraghing money in similar situations as us. But seem to be trying more to engage with fans and allow them to view games. Montrose sorted it out months ago and had it as part of their season ticket deal. No excuse saying but we are losing this much money. All clubs are in the same boat and it's a revenue stream that should have been well planned for as fans were never going to be allowed back especially after we saw in Spain France etc over a month ago a rise in cases. Club have totally been caught napping here.
  25. Went there when I was 15 or 16 to watch Soldier Blue and the exorcist many times after. Loved the La Scala always went upstairs especially when I had a girl 😀😀
  26. CaleyStan - I agree with you. Not only has this trumpian nonsense been debunked (several times). It definitely crosses the line for the site, and for me personally. We will take appropriate action on this. https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-factcheck-false-george-soros-claims-idUSKBN23P2XJ I have largely stayed out of social & political discussion on this and other threads but as husband to a woman of colour and father of a biracial child, and who knows far more about BLM than I probably would otherwise, I cannot allow or accept this post on this site. Reasoned argument is fine, but spouting already debunked conspiracy theories ... nope. I have hidden the post for now until we decide what action to take with the user account.
  27. We better be doing a partnership with Specsavers and offering referees eye tests before the next game
  28. Looking at that Hearts team, they've retained enough experienced players from last year plus Halliday and Roberts will add a bit of depth. remains to be seen how we will progress but we're notorious slow starters and Robbo has a habit of building consistent teams from scratch. My eyes are bleeding after that though.

Are you supporting the right team Alan? That sounds more like a statement from a Rangers fan!

Have to say we're looking like a poor championship team against a premier league team..
