It’s now the time of year for the Club to send out letters regarding Season Tickets and then letters about Sponsorship. However, despite after all the restrictions due to Covid, hospitality returned a while ago and still no thank you to those of us who, year after year, pay hundreds to sponsor a player or players. Why has the Club not had a Sponsors Night, even a tea and sandwiches, meet their sponsored player and get a photo? I know of quite a few who, disappointed in the Club, are considering not sponsoring again. It’s the Clubs loss - they are happy to ask for money but with no acknowledgement to these fans.8 points

I wish that we could go back to the safe, harmonious and peaceful times of the late seventies and eighties.3 points

Indeed. Family fun days, kids Christmas party, end of season ball, kids game with players, 10 pin bowling with players etc all seem to have dissappeared. Now I realise that Covid will have impacted all of these and lockdowns have somewhat messed up my perception of time so perhaps these have only stopped for lockdowns, however I'm fairly sure it's longer than that.3 points

As well as leading to a potential loss of income it is sheer bad manners and an absence of basic courtesy towards dedicated fans who dig deep to help keep the club afloat in challenging circumstances. Shame on them.3 points

I said this last night and truly believe it's true Imho, we are not far off becoming a Premiership team and would agree with a column in the Press and Journal which said we're "on the right track" and should "fear nobody" as we proved this season that we can mount a serious title push, we just need to turn draws into wins and especially stop losing "silly' points to teams in the bottom half of the table as that was as much to blame as our 11 game winless run. As has been said in the match and squad update threads, we have the nucleus of a good squad so hopefully we retain as much of them as possible (though the money from Deas could come in handy), I also believe that we need to strengthen but not drastically, my hope is that we sign young players hungry for success, guys like Lowry of Rangers (he's just an example, not on my wishlist haha). As was mentioned yesterday on the sky coverage before the match, John has been down in England scouting so I see that as a positive as that's a good market to use (One player released down there that IS on my wishlist is Davis Keillor-Dunn, ex Dross County and most recently, Oldham). Then there's our own crop of youngsters such as Ally Riddle, Harry Nicolson, Ally Mackay and Strachan (the guy on bench on Friday) that could be worth signing on professional contracts :). So as IHE would say, time to regroup and come back stronger and then all aboard the promotion rollercoaster :D. Bring on next season Finally, it's been a pleasure contributing to this forum despite occasionally falling out with certain members at times, I'll try and do better next season haha.2 points

There are so many small things that the club could be doing, but don't seem too bothered about. At a meeting with the supporters a few seasons ago, it was said that the clubs intention was to improve the match day experience for the supporters, and I realise we have had covid since then, but nothing has changed, in fact it's worse. We can't usually find anyone selling raffle tickets, and with the club needing every penny you'd think they would be pushing this. There hasn't been a physical programme for a number of seasons now, and the online programme has now disappeared also. Where is our mascot Lionel Nessi? With the club attracting a larger contingent of younger supporters, you would think that it would be great to have the mascot around. I see that the team OTB have already set their season ticket advertising in motion on Facebook, but nothing from us. If it wasn't for the lads on the Wyness Shuffle, where would we get any of our information from? Certainly not the club.2 points

I am also aware of the same. I know of one family who have sponsored at least one player each year for nigh on 20 years but they are not sure whether they will continue for the same reasons noted. These are not businesses who are simply writing this off as a taxable donation or deduction, these are hardworking fans, who in addition to buying season tickets, shares, and merchandise also stump up to sponsor a player to 'do their bit' for the club. To be honest, I dont think they are even that bothered with the sponsors' evening or any 'free' lunch/dinner - they just want the club to engage with the fans and at least acknowledge things outside of times where they are sending an invoice or request for cash! From our perspective - we will continue our sponsorship for as long as people on the site want to do it. If we struggle to reach the target or people are no longer interested we would review. I had a chance to speak to Keith at the club recently and put a face to the name. He seemed reasonable enough, but I guess our requirements in going to any event such as a sponsors' evening (no-one ever seems to want to) or individual outlay (per person) is not such that it really comes on our radar as something that sticks in the throat in the same way as it would for someone shelling out £420+ on their own. Technically you do really - as a member of our player sponsor group2 points

I for one respect Doran with regards to being a fantastic servant to the club etc however I do feel now is the time for him to be moved on to free up some of the wages to bring newer fresher players in for a promotion push next season. In my opinion I see Lee Connollys contract at QOS is coming to and end this season and was always quite impressed with how he played against us. 22 years of age as well so lot of upside to potentially signing him however unsure what he makes currently and if we could compete with that.2 points

I think it's a shame the PPV going too. I think this is additional income for clubs especially away fans who won't travel but will buy a stream. Shame really...2 points

We may well use the group stage matches as our pre-season matches again. I hope not, though, as it would be good to get through the group stages this time round.2 points

I couldn't get a reply this time last season when I asked what we were getting for our money. Thus I didn't renew. They didn't bother chasing me up .. The season before didn't even get a gift at end of season. Just think really really poor. Suspect they might drop it next season? They seem more interested in corporate than fans.1 point

It's not UEFA. Their rules allow national football associations to "request" (ie "enforce") blackout periods, but UEFA themselves don't mandate them. Last time we discussed this, there was only one European country outside of the UK which had a blackout period. Without checking, I think it may have been Montenegro. Somewhere like that, anyway. I had a quick look just now, and came across a recent article which said that the UK is the only place where a blackout is enforced. Not sure if that is accurate, or if the other country has dropped it. Some of the streaming sites have displayed the number of people logged in. Even in small games - not top of the table clashes - I think that numbers were comfortably above 200. If ICT had that, then that would be £3,000 coming in per game, which I would have thought would be enough to keep things going.1 point

I don't sponsor a player but once again the higher echelons of the club show contempt for the bread and butter supporters of the club. The club making promises that they don't keep and never follow up on - they'll be a sponsor's night, we'll have open fan's forum meetings (and get the minutes out), we'll put a roof on the west stand etc. Situations change and there may be perfectly good reasons for all these 'oversights' but true to form the club never communicates anything, speaks to anyone, (the supporters trust or supporters directly) nor explain the situation. There is however always time to punt expensive hospitality. I simply don't understand why it's so difficult for them to do this? Ego? Unwilling to accept that they made mistakes and cant fulfill commitments? Maybe. I first really noticed this during the Pixallot fiasco. There's quite a lot of positive fan feeling right now and it would be a shame to waste some of that.1 point

I may be a contrarian or have FOPA ( Fear of part- timer accusations) I actually didn't try to get a ticket for Hampden as although I had been a ST holder 94-08 I hadn't been attending regularly during that season due to work. Watching the match on TV & from Social media I did spot a fair few folk who couldn't actually have directed you to the stadium from the town centre so I cut off my nose slightly on that one. It actually took the pandemic for me to buy my first ST in more than a decade & support the club as I feared we might buckle financially .. perhaps after a decade I also had FOAM ( Fear of attending a match ) .. Might change my user name to Creamola !1 point

The best way to see how any new signings are doing will be to go to the games rather than watch them on TV. Especially if they are at home. The club needs your money more than another sports channel. I'd expect Premier Sports to pick up a Hibs game or two but looking at the other groups there aren't many enticing looking games for TV so perhaps a Livingston v ICT pick is feasible.1 point
-
I would imagine fixtures would be announced tomorrow so hopefully Premier sports pick up one of our matches as it would be good to see how our new signings or, if still allowed, trialists get on. Kelty and Cove would be good to get at home as they are tough to beat at their grounds, Albion and Livi would be OK either venue but hopefully we don't underestimate Albion. Quietly optimistic of getting out the group stages for the first time in years.1 point

I used to bring flares into football grounds week after week in the 1970s but, as far as I am aware the only crimes I was comiting were against fashion and good taste. Back in the days when the circumstances of my trouser bottoms was twice that of my waist in stark contrast to the relative proportions these days.1 point

I'm happy to discuss smoke bomb areas but not a fan of flares especially given 2 of them were chucked at the stewards. Like throwing fire at them?1 point

I largely agree with you apart from PPV. I don't think this has had a huge impact on either our home crowds or travelling support and does generate a net profit for the club. More importantly, it allows those who live too far from Inverness to make regular attendance practical those elderly fans and others with mobility issues and those who are ill to share the action live with their fellow fans. I doubt if the football authorities will agree but I personally would love to see that facility continued and enhanced.1 point

Couple of thoughts after the larger than usual crowds from the last couple of games: Subject to any GDPR type issues the club should be pinging out emails to everyone who bought tickets for the game on Friday to encourage them to get a season ticket for the next campaign. Perhaps a survey of attitudes towards the club to find out why they might not have attended prior to Friday to see if cost, time or some other barrier exists to prevent people from attending more regularly; and This will be the last season for match day streaming to UK residents I believe as COVID starts to fade away so what will happen to ICTTV and will we see more supporters down the stadium on a typical Saturday instead of watching it on a laptop / TV / phone on the toilet?1 point

Well done to her and to you. It may not be what she might have been expecting but I am sure that she will find a visit to the Balmoral Stadium a much more pleasant experience than being abused and pelted with goodness knows what in the away section at Ibrox.1 point

If anyone is travelling down today. I would watch your time I was travelling back from Glasgow yesterday and was stuck in roadwork traffic. (They were cutting down trees) google said it was an 8 minute delay both ways but was more like 25 -30 mins. Hopefully they have cleared it today but just a heads up for people looking to leave for Perth sharp. It was about 15 miles outside of Inverness1 point

At a Fans Forum meeting in September - the minutes of which we still await - I asked Scot Gardiner if there would be a sponsors night. He very firmly stated there would be. Maybe the invitations will arrive with the minutes of the meeting.0 points
