  1. Sounds like Billy has an option of another season if HE wants it, but is maybe trying to negotiate for a longer contract? Given where we are, I'd have thought the club would be biting his hand off to get two years out of him. He's got at least that left in him at Championship level, and if by some miracle we go up, he'd be a handy player to have in the squad for our first year in the top league whether a regular starter/90 minute player or not.
  2. Confirmed that Shaw is under contact until 2024. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/inverness-caledonian-thistle/5851333/nathan-shaw-hailed-for-making-potential-count-with-bold-move-north-to-caley-thistle/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social
  3. If we have a number of prospects in the u18 squad we should get them signed get them training with the 1st team and get them out on loan
  4. Many thanks for asking. And, no. You haven't missed it! There are two of us working on it. There is no specific date for its release. We are trying to work through it as quickly as possible but it is a lot of work. The Supporters Trust initiated, wrote and ran the Survey and will control the data and the distribution of the survey report. I am no longer on the Supporters Trust Board, but when they are happy with the final content, I would expect them to share the report with the Club first before it is distributed more widely. The hope is that report will lead to some constructive engagement between the Club, the Supporters Trust and other relevant groups and individuals. There has been some brilliant feedback and ideas from supporters in the free text and the report will include several direct (anonymised) quotes from supporters in the text. I appreciate it has been a while since the survey closed, but I hope you will think the time and effort going into the report has been worth it when you finally see it. I would hope the report can be released to all by the end of July, but I can't promise that, I will be sure to update folk on here if a release date is decided or if there is going to be any delay.
  5. Uninspiring. Probably considered ok as a back up to someone like Billy, but as our sole experienced striker to lead the line.......let's hope the defence is rock solid then
  6. Yes it says he has another year with us.
  7. Strachan and Bray are under contract until next year. Not sure about Dan Mackay’s younger brother (Calum?). I think they are the ones that were on our bench and got some game time when we were short of players. Strachan looked good in the brief spells I saw him in. I’m sure there are others we should be talking to.
  8. I do agree with a lot of this but sometimes you have players who are more valuable to the team than any final transfer fee we might get for them. Could we realistically have afforded to lose Allardice last season for the sake of a few thousand pounds? For all the criticism he got from others (including myself) I fully agreed with Yogi's ambitions of trying to at least make sure the club got money when they lost players like Shinnie, Watkins etc. easier said than done of course though.
  9. I think it is total mismanagement of our club to let our best players leave, season after season, for nothing. If a player is on a two or three year contract, and you want him to stay, you offer him a new contract before he goes into his final year, and if he doesn't want to sign a new contract then, you put him up for sale, that way we get some financial compensation for him, and have some sought after money the club can I'll afford not to have. As someone said on hear, we used to be a selling club, but now we are the giving away for free club.
  10. We cant force players or their agents to accept our contract offers, nor to negotiate them when they are coming to an end. The days of Jim McLean style contracts have been over for decades. Its a sad reality but given how we also lurch from year to year financially, offering longer term contracts is also not feasible whether we like it or not. Even if we were in a position to offer long term deals, if a player doesn't want to commit to that length of contract there's not a lot we can do about it. Unfortunately, I agree. As much as it sticks in the throat, players going to County or Killie is currently an upward step. Higher wages, higher level of competition etc. We cant put that ridiculous situation right until we can get out of this division (in the right direction).
  11. Some people seem to have forgotten we just finished in the bottom half of one of the weakest Championship leagues in a long time! The fact some are trying to spin it as a successful season shows the current level of our ambition!
  12. He’s entitled to ditch us in favour of our hated local rivals, and I’m entitled to wish him every possible misfortune while he’s there.
  13. 1 point
Brilliant. Hope the others follow suit. IMHO Colts should never have been allowed in anyway.
  14. Can anyone confirm Shaw's contract. I can't read P&J article. Also........reading between the lines......does it also mean that Billy has triggered an extension to his contract which ICT have to honour???? Copied from the Inverness Courier "Samuels was the final player whose deal was due to expire this summer, with negotiations still ongoing with Billy Mckay but the striker having triggered an option that saw his deal extended through the upcoming season. Too many grey area's, Or am I being tooooo hopeful.
  15. 2 best players off to Killie and County surprised that they both set the bar so low. Both could have done so much better. Typically we don't get a bean for either of them, criminal how we let our prizes assets slip through our hands year after year.
  16. Allardice def off to County!
  17. Scott Allardice is leaving.... on the same day that Ross County announce a new signing?????
