  1. Tm4tj, IBM, Robert, Yngwie, Rig, Scotty, Mantis, jagster, caley100, IHE and possibly Dougal
  2. Dougal seems to be carrying a long term grievance
  3. Tbf, we probably need more defenders
  4. Terry Butcher is a guest at the stadium on Saturday for the game against Ayr, so I'll take a 7-0 win and then onwards and upwards from there.
  5. I thought he had been out on loan to County!
  6. Needs more defenders.
  7. The paranoia continues. I've seen nothing to say Highland Council are against Battery Storage or that they are against other people building them. The main sticking point with the ILI/ICTFC one is that they want to locate it on protected green space in an area not zoned for industrial use. One other thing, it literally says 75 in the bottom right of the slide.
  8. STV news tonight also on about Battery Storage places, apparently this is the immediate future and, more than two dozen already planned or already in action, in Scotland. Maybe ICT ahead of the game here, but also, I believe Highland Council have plans themselves for Battery Storage. Wheels within wheels or not enough cash in the envelopes? There’s more to this!!!
  9. From "The Knowledge" column in today's Guardian. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/mar/13/the-knowledge-have-any-footballers-refused-to-play-second-half If you were going to buy it, you'd have done so by now, so I don't think this will deprive them of any money "“Have there been any situations where a player has refused to come out for the second half?” asks Peter Clarke. “If so, what retribution was taken by the club or country?” There are plenty of examples of entire teams refusing to play the second half, the majority in response to racism, but it’s quite rare for an individual player to do so. Let’s start with a famous night in Glasgow: “Back in February 2000, with John Barnes’s Celtic trailing Caley Thistle 2-1 in a Scottish Cup tie, striker Mark Viduka refused to play the second half,” begins Stephen Toal. “Viduka took offence when he was asked by Barnes’s assistant Eric Black: ‘Is it too cold tonight? Do you not fancy it?’ “Celtic went on to lose 3-1, and within 48 hours Barnes and Black were sacked (Viduka kept his job). Perhaps more significantly, the match spawned the greatest newspaper headline of all time: Super Caley Go Ballistic Celtic Are Atrocious." Click on the link above to read the rest of the column.
  10. It is badly needed all over to cut down paying millions every year to the power companies to stop production when demand is low!
  11. Today's topical subject 'giant batteries will help power Scotland' https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cd180263w7no
  12. Who do we have signed up for next season? The loans will all depart and I know we had a lot of players out of contract this summer, but some of the new signings got two year contracts, as did Billy Mckay when he signed on again. Anyone know who we have got signed for next season?
  13. We must do no worse than 8th. 5th, 6th or 7th bring a few more pounds in. We should be aiming for 4th until it is impossible to get there.
  14. I am still hoping for fifth place when you look at the goal difference.
  15. I'm going to keep revisiting this. We are essentially having a crap season and been utter abject at home, yet somehow with around quarter of the season left we are only 6 points behind a morton side getting plaudits. (We have 8. Some teams 9 games to go of normal season) All hypothetical it's possible that if we had achieved more in the Dodds tenure earlier this season we could be fighting for a promotion play off place. Keen to see how others expectations for remainder of the season align - score a goal at home - beat raith and get back to normal service - beat morton or at least derail their playoff hopes on the last game of the season. The salty tears would be great. - Avoid relegation play-offs
  16. Slide 84, actually, but still at a loss as to why we're being shot in the foot when its right there, plain as day that they want to do it regardless. Surely it'd be far more logical to let someone else put in the graft and delegate the funds into other projects?
  17. Have a look at the slide numbered 75 in this document for the Council Meeting on Thursday which is about the Council’s own Battery Storage plans: https://www.highland.gov.uk/download/meetings/id/83021/item_12_our_future_highland_council_delivery_plan_2024-2027_-_14_march_2024
  18. Indeed. Fine, fine margins this season. Feeling this will go right to the last game.
  19. Gives us some hope if we can start scoring goals at home
  20. Rovers currently one up, Partick now only 9 points and 5 goals better off than us. Certainly gives Morton some hope.
  21. You'd think a few handshakes around the lodge and all this would get resolved

  23. Never mind this pish we should be investing in fusion power and warp drive!
  24. Hydro and gravity batteries are more effective, less harmful for the planet, and much safer than chemical batteries.
  25. Jagster is injured just now but will be fighting fit for the playoffs if we make fourth!
  26. 'On behalf of over 13700 residents who we represent ' 😆
  27. Considering the public objections around fire safety, the discussions in the last planning meeting about fire safety, now the communuty councils saying "would ya look at all these fire safety guidance issues", it is odd that the club didn't publish or attach to the planning application whatever they have in writing from Scottish Fire and Rescue to try and debunk any of that. Unless the letter is a nothingburger. Instead, the template email the club sent everyone said "Fire risk etc is not a material planning consideration."
