Just wanted to wait 24 hours to let it sink in being in 8th place before adding a note. When we were deducted 15 points and dumped at the bottom of the league and in the early stages Admin I must admit I was a bit worried this could be too deep a hole to climb out of. The contribution and impact that A Savage brought at this time should not be underestimated. He brought crucial stability that allowed the football side to survive and start the challenge of fighting their way to stay in the league. Dumbarton’s fall into Administration helped our own cause significantly. Whilst C Christie’s unquestionably energy and experience has been a cornerstone of any footballing direction taken, its time to give proper and full credit to Scott Kellacher (particularly), coach Billy and the players for getting to the lofty position that we find ourselves today. Quite remarkable in my book and may well be looked upon in 10 years time as one of the clubs greatest achievements. We are not safe by any means yet as staying in 8th place has to be earned. However today seems a lot more lighter than the past 6 months. bc7 points

First and foremost I want to see the club on a firm financial footing. However there's a part of me would rather that came about through a totally new person or group as there's way too much baggage, ego and local politics attached to the likes of Savage, Sutherland, McGillivray, Cameron, etc.6 points

Let's not start congratulating ourselves yet. As I've said many times before, this usually leads to a harsh dose of reality in the next game. It's not guaranteed that we're getting anything off Stenhousemuir on Tuesday - they've won 5 in a row, with a better goals for/against tally than us. They were no match for us last time, but with 47 points Gary Naysmith, an ex-pupil of my old school btw, must be doing something right.5 points

Delighted to see the team and coaches getting the rewards for their hard work and determination. They can now set their sites on 7th spot and a win on Tuesday will achieve that as well as open up a wee gap on Annan. There's a bit to go yet, but the turnaround in our season (on the pitch) is stuff of legends.5 points

Complete and utter limbs at the goal. What an amazing feeling. Rest of game was frustrating on a horrific pitch. What a celebration. What a club!4 points

It seems obvious to me that was his plan from the outset and if it is him then so be it. My thoughts are based on the possibility that new faces may be able to draw on support and backing from all parties because there's no baggage but any of the old faces is unlikely to be able to do the same. It's not based on any like or dislike for any of them. I've said previously that many are due gratitude for what they have given over the years. Well, at least those running things up until about 7/8 years ago.3 points

Although nothing has been accomplished yet, getting into a position of relative safety in the utter binfire that is league 1 will not on its own be a great achievement. After all the pain endured, successfully exiting the administrative process will be something to look back on in years to come as a defining moment - as long as we let the right one(s) in.2 points

Through our partnership with Stagecoach, for Tuesday’s match against Stenhousemuir, buses will be running that allow fans to spend time in Bar 94 before and after the match. The times are: Leave Bus Station at 1745 and 1900. Leave Stadium 10 minutes after the full time whistle and 2245. Concession passes are valid on all journeys, with the fare for non concessions being £2.40. Bar 94 will be open from 1730 before the game and until 2245 after the game.2 points

It’s great to win games when the team hasn’t played well. Yet again Big Musa came up with crucial saves to keep us in it.2 points

At 90 minutes I was thinking to myself we would settle for a draw now rather then Dumbarton score, and then up pops Alfie with the winner Well done again for another great team effort and I am really looking forward to the game on Tuesday night. And don't forget the wee history lesson from Charles2 points

I think you have hit the nail in the head STFU here in that the ego’s and old points scoring is begining to resurface and this is affecting the discussions going on in the background (while BDO attempt to bring the parties together). I don't know if there is enough willingness between the main players to look for a route that allows the Admin process to make substantive progress anytime soon. All we can hope is these people see the football side are meeting their part of the equation by almost certainly avoiding relegation. And with that spur the big hitters at the table make the effort to reach a settlement they all can sign up to. just my tuppence worth bc1 point

I'm congratulating the team for overhauling the 15pt penalty and getting us properly back into fighting territory. As I said, still a way to go, but that's an achievement worth marking in itself. Something to push on even more from and definitely not something to be complacent about.1 point

It's a big psychological step to get up to 8th but agree we cannot get too rocky or complacent. The job has still to be finished but I'm confident we will get 8th at least in the end1 point

Think you should be prepared for Alan Savage to be part of the club for the forseeable future.1 point

Another Churchill quote! And another reminder of what a disastrous appointment Duncan Ferguson was… and of the self satisfaction of Scot Gardiner’s claims about his role in making it.1 point

We murdered them in the first half but a very open second half with probably the better chances falling to them and Musa saving us a few times. That winner was the highlight of the season for me but then I missed the Montrose game…1 point

Indeed, he’d already accepted we’d be relegated and had his excuses ready! As fans we all knew we’d clawback the gap and Scott & co have done just that. However, the job is not done yet and we need to keep the recent run going to ensure safety.1 point

“NOW THS IS NOT THE END. IT IS NOT EVEN THE BEGINNING OF THE END. BUT IT IS, PERHAPS, THE END OF THE BEGINNING.” Winston Churchill, 1942, speaking after victory at the Battle of El Alamein. We just need to get the Administrator moving!1 point

Happy with that. Well done all! Nice to be winning late points after all the late ones we’ve lost in recent seasons!1 point

Get a win next week and then our game in hand and hope some of the results start to go our way and we could be knocking on 5th. I'll take 5th happily now after all we have been through but I would love 4th even more!!!1 point

Talk about leaving it late? But I'll take that. Well done lads. Out of the bottom 2 now and within touching distance of Montrose. I can settle down now and enjoy Scotland beat Wales at Murrayfield. Onwards and upwards1 point
