We can just build the stadium where the battery farm was going to go, we own that land anyway, or David Cameron does, and all the goodwill we've built up with the people around there and the council we'll sail through the planning process.5 points

Obviously this statement is to be welcomed but, given the number of upturns and downturns there have been in this crisis even since mid-summer, that welcome must remain cautious until the bones carry more meat. Those attending cover all three areas of concern since these individuals hold most of the debt, include the joint owners of the car park lease and account for around half the shares. I note that the Charitable Trust and the McGilvrays weren’t represented. Between them they account for more than a quarter of the equity but it is, of course, impossible to guess any reasons - innocuous or sinister - for their absence. We also don’t know the extent of agreement that was reached, and in particular how much if any of the debt has been volunteered to be written off, and how many shares have been handed back - or indeed donated to the cause. The benefits of share movement could make impacts respectively of up to 5 and 10 times the value of the shares in question. I have to say that I am also mildly encouraged by the suggestion that there could be a large local presence in any initiative. We await in hope.2 points

I think at this point, any Caley Thistle fan will not care where we play (in Inverness) so long as we have a team who are allowed to play and not liquidated out of existence.2 points

This happened in August last year. My take on it from the info available is that agreement was reached to write off debts/exchange them for shares. What then seems to have happened is that disagreement arose over the car parks, people were getting slated in the press etc. and the whole thing quickly fell apart. In that regard we seem to be right back where we were then, but 15 points worse off and facing a huge invoice from BDO. Hopefully the outcome is different this time!1 point

I was thinking with their exorbitant fees, they might have got this addressed at an earlier point in the proceedings, rather than wait until we are washing our dirty linen in public (again) and an ex-chairman does it for them. I mean they have been 'running' the club have they not?1 point

Getting all the bigwigs together at the same table, revolutionary concept!! Why wasn't this done last year? (Did BDO not think of this??)1 point

Apologies in advance if I've got this wrong. As I understand it, the directors who made loans to the club agreed to write these off. Don't know if that was before or after we went into administration. Either way, surely the first task of the administrators was to get that legally agreed but this doesn't seem to have happened, why?. The other point is what security was granted to Morrison to "guarantee " his loan. Again as I understand it, the area involved is sub leased from the Council and is, effectively worthless as no other activity can currently be undertaken to bring in revenue to Morrison. Something stinks there. As I stated at the outset, I may have this all wrong but if anyone knows any answers.....1 point

Great idea Mantis it's all doom and gloom just now I don't fancy the Trabant although it would serve it's purpose. Reminds me of the Lada that my father in law had, he was a shepherd and during lambing his trusted W reg VW Jetta gave up after twelve years of use carrying dogs for work and to trials all over the north of Scotland and likely sheep as well! My mother in law and her brother had a budget to get him a car quick and bought him the Lada which he said was like a Massey Ferguson tractor to drive he didn't keep it long. Here is one I came across in Lossiemouth a few weeks ago while through to see the Red Arrows. I thought it looked like a car from the eastern block trying to copy a Daimler but the way it was parked couldn't see it properly. I didn't have a clue what it was so had to use Google! Incredibly sad! All these administrators, power brokers and large shareholders just need to get round a big feckin table and thrash it out face to bloody face!1 point

Just when I thought we beginning to turn the corner. Awful to think that 10 years ago we were riding high in the Premiership and on course to winning the cup.1 point

In reality, it depends on who agreed and who is pending. If RM is pending then anything and anyone else is pretty much irrelevant. Again, depends on who is in that "number of creditors". With NDAs in place, then hopefully BDO and the potential buyers could agree to "meet" with those creditors if that's all it will take. However, the hypocrisy of "ensuring the club is in good hands" beggars belief. Those same people employed a man who we all blame for the situation we are in, must still take their own part of the blame for allowing that man to operate without any governance or oversight, and then tried to flog the club to Makwana! With all due respect - their definition of good hands is full of shit! IMHO. Presumably because everything is correctly going through the administrators and has not yet got to the stage in any agreement where all the hurdles have been jumped over and it then requires a conversation about the land ... If you cant get past the debt, ownership and shareholding issues then discussion about parcels of land are irrelevant. This smacks of PR spin, and an attempt to polish the turd of how those same people allowed the club to be run for the last 6 or 7 years.1 point

I had always thought the way admin worked was a buyer made an offer and then the administrator would work out how much each creditor would get based on the offer ie someone comes in and offers 1.75m to clear the debt and own the club, then the 3.5m debt would work out to be 50p per £1 owed. Is that not the case, is it more creditors will agree to a minimum they will accept and a buyer has to match that expectation? For example, creditors want 80p per £1 owed. I have probably grossly simplified the process, but I always understood it as this what you'll get as a creditor accept it or you'll get nothing.1 point

At the end of it, these guys are owed £3m by a lower league Scottish football club. They aren't getting their money back.1 point

Well said, Charles. Morrison has been spectacularly incompetent over his time as Chairman and now wants others to dig deep into their pockets to pay back his loan. Has the man absolutely no shame at all? He is not the only one to blame though. There would have been no secured loan unless his colleagues on the Board agreed to it. They, surely also have some moral responsibility to dig deep into their pockets to get the club out of the mess that they helped to create. There are a lot of people at the club, from Alan Savage to matchday volunteers who are doing a brilliant job trying to save the club. It is heartbreaking to think that all their efforts could be for nothing at the end of the day. The club certainly can still be saved as there are people who would be keen to put money into the club. The thing is, they are not prepared to pay £1.5M to the man who got the club into this mess. Nobody should loan money that they can't afford to lose. It is time that Morrison accepted that the money is gone. In accepting that, he could make sure the club does not disappear as well. Come on, man. A city is waiting for you to finally do the decent thing.1 point

Out of curiosity how many people can the bar take? Might it be worthwhile having a monthly quiz night or bingo or something? It could be done after a home game at say 6pm. Long enough to still cater for those wanting a quick drink and to see players before heading off but not so long a wait for those hanging about for the quiz/bingo/whatever. Charge a fiver and include a pie/sausage roll in the price.1 point

Just putting it out there.... What if someone connected to the energy industry was trying to do a deal with HIE to free up the site of the stadium so it could realise it's full development potential? What if a third party controlled part of that land and needed some persuasion to hand it over on the cheap? What if HIE had some sway on land elsewhere upon which a stadium could be sited....say a smaller, more efficient stadium that could be "swapped" for the current one? If such a person existed, how might they go about making the above happen?0 points

This seems to me to have been an issue at the club since day 1. A battle of too many egos, d#ck measuring contests, and wallet weighing competitions. Like toddlers fighting over a toy . . . . . and now they've finally broken the toy!0 points

Inverness CT 0-2 Kelty Hearts - League 1
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2024-25,
FULL TIME 0-2: After last weeks win at Cove, this was a massive disappointment. The only thing in our favour was that Annan lost as well and they remain three points behind us. It's the Caley Thistle Way; one step forward and two steps backward. Another difficult game next week away to Stenhousemuir.-

Queen of the South 4-1 Inverness CT - League 1
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2024-25,
Jack Hannah scored his first goal for Queen of the South after Alfie Stewart had opened the scoring for the visitors. Queens eventually routed the Caley Jags 4-1 with further goals from Jordan Allan and a brace from Admin Books. He really has it in for us and was a pain in the rain.-
