  1. I think teams have cottoned on to Kells style - a passing game with seldom anyone running with the ball. Are ICT too predictable? A cold wet night with a good crowd despite tv.
  2. We got out of jail today. Now lets stay out. Football eh...why do we love it so much? Emotions all over the place these past two days.
  3. There's only one Nathan Austin! You can take the player out of Caley Thistle, but you can't take Caley Thistle out of the player
  4. Unfortunatley i see this as a team that's lost the will to win, Yep they seem to try and go through motions but the urgency and spirit seem to be missing. Oh for a Richie Foran ( as a player ) to cajole and shout and berate his team mates into winning games, And as said above other managers have sussed us out and we don't seem to have sussed them out!
  5. Nice hybrid of two of the world’s baddies…
  6. I dunno where to start but what a bottle job we are doing these last few weeks. Wrong team selection and dont get me started on the subs and theyre timing. Kells player tombolla is blowing our season. Im also annoyed at Kells post match saying the fans need to help? What did he think we were doing. Frustrated angry and well fed up of our last few performances home and away bar Peterhead. Oh and some idiot tried to run me down as loads of pedestrians crossing over car park. Agressively driving towards me with lits of families around. We are the only club that doesnt prioritise pedestrians leaving ground. Off to watch Scotland tomorrow. Not sure how that will go either tbf....
  7. From what I could see he was just putting his head down and belting the ball into the box aimlessly in the hope of finding a team mate.
  8. Massive DisappointmentDisgruntled much! With games running out and every point a prisoner, the Caley Jags would be looking to take advantage of this game under the lights against Queen of the South to get ahead of the pack before the rest play on Saturday afternoon. The last time Queens were here under the lights and on the telly the Caley Jags were untroubled as they ran out 4-0 winners. The scene is the same tonight although lambing snows and a chill wind might play a part in events tonight. Danny Devine was out injured and Liam Sole and Chanka Zimba were suspended. Mitchell Robertson was at the heart of the defence with Ross Millen at right back and Billy Mckay up front. Queens had their own injury worries but they still had big players like Reece Lyon, Kai Kennedy and Kurtis Guthrie in their starting XI. Oscar MacIntyre rattled the post and we had one or two close moments but Nicky Clark opened the scoring with a cute flick in the first half and the points were shared when Ross Millen bundled home following his spot kick being saved ten minutes after the break. A massive disappointment following a less than impressive performance where we went flat ten minutes after equalising. We have now opened the door for Stenhousemuir to step in tomorrow should they beat East Fife. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Inverness got the game underway on a chilly night in the Highlands with maximum points the aim for both sides. Luis Longstaff almost broke the deadlock in the third minute when he got the break of the ball on the edge of the box but his chip just cleared the bar to land on the top of the net. Shortly after Billy Mckay was just inches away from connecting with a long free kick into the box as he headed wide. Queens were taking no prisoners early on dishing out some rough treatment. Alfie Stewart brought out a save from his namesake after driving forward from midfield following an interception. Following a swift break forward on the right, Alfie Bavidge dragged his parting shot across the keeper but just wide of the post after fifteen minutes. Oscar MacIntyre did brilliantly on a run into the box but his left footed shot smashed against the post and bounced out to safety with possibly a touch from the keeper. Ross Munro flopped onto a low shot from Hannah from the edge of the box but it lacked the power to trouble the keeper. Moments later Queens took the lead mostly against the run of play when a ball into the box was flicked into the net by Nicky Clark. Smart sucker punch and all to do now. A lot of petty fouls disrupting play ten minutes before the break but a good ball into the box from Millen was flicked just past the post by Billy Mckay. Jordan Alonge burst onto a pass on the left side of the box but the keeper pulled off a great save to deny him and we were unable to keep the follow up on target. HALF TIME: 0-1 No changes at the break but five minutes into the half Billy Mckay was barged over as he chased a ball into the box. After deliberating with himself, the referee awarded a spot kick. Ross Millen took it but the keeper made a great save only for Millen to follow up and bundle the ball into the net, just. And breathe. Alonge headed in but a wee niaff of a linesman flagged him offside. Almost a blooper in our box as Savage slipped but he recovered sufficiently to see the ball out for a throw in. Joe Chalmers had a pot shot from range but it went harmlessly over. A bit of a lull ensued with some looking jaded as we opted for sideways soccer. In a rare moment, MacKenzie shot well over for Queens as Inverness looked tired as the game deteriorated over the final twenty minutes. Kai Kennedy shot across the face of the goal in the 90th minute. Looks like Peter Murphy was red carded in the next minute. A late corner for the visitors saw Kennedy swing in the ball as we nervously gave the ball away numerous times in the final moments. The ref saved us all from crumbling into nervous wrecks by bringing the game to a conclusion with as poor a performance as we have seen at home all season. FULL TIME: 1-1
  9. If you read the BBC text report, it appears that Alloa conceded exactly the same penalty twice, a few minutes apart, with the same players involved, but the second one appears never to have been taken. And no mention of a second goal for the Blue Toon. I'll have what (s)he was having, please
  10. Our Manager needs to ensure that this result inspires his players. Stenny getting wobbly.
  11. East Fife pulled back from 2 goals down to draw with Stenny today. WELL DONE the Fifers.
  12. And even then it was a like-for-like change with Willox replacing Longstaff and playing on the right, with Bavidge switching to the left. I was hoping that McKay would’ve been withdrawn for Wotherspoon or Allan, and Bavidge moved central. Longstaff should’ve moved to the right wing because McIntyre plays like our left winger anyway. But no, we just carried on doing the same things and hoping for a different outcome !
  13. Cant disagree with any of that! Its so obvious re lack of leadership. We also had a settled team in Foran days
  14. No bite. Wasted crosses into box. Same old same old.
  15. Oops, memo to self, always read post before hitting the submit button. Worst thing is I googled Scottish conservative leaders to make sure I had the correct name then inserted wrong one. FFS. You are on the ball this morning mr mantis.😂 My seat was close to the young dudes last night singing “ if you hate Donald Ross clap your hands” Can I blame them ? Do you think I could get away with that.
  16. Last six games for us 2 wins and 4 draws = 10 points Last six games for stenny assuming they beat EF tomorrow 5 wins and 1 draw = 16 points Think I can see who has the momentum. M.O.M tonight Kia Kennedy. I thought longstaff caused their goal, should never have been beaten on touchline. Think he thought ball was going out. Penalty, ref took an age to give it. I wondered if Donald Ross was “ assisting “ the referee via their radio link. Might be wrong as seeing it in real time with no replays like the telly. Too slow in getting forward again…. Keeper to savage, Savage to macintyre, closed down, macintyre to savage, savage to Robertson, Robertson to Millen, closed down, Millen to Robertson. QOS legging it up the park when in possession. BBC has possession stats ICT 41 % QOS 59 % that surprised me if correct.
  17. Absolutely. Is the pressure/inexperience getting to Kellacher ? Think he made a few wrong calls tonight.
  18. Really good crowd on a freezing Friday night, and we get this dross served up. Last half hour no pace, no urgency, only one team looked like winning and it certainly wasn’t us. I have no idea what the Wotherspoon substitution with two minutes to go was meant to achieve. Doing a great job of steering us into the playoffs from a winning the league position.
  19. I’d agree that the manager should have made subs much earlier. We offered nothing of note in the last 20 minutes or so.
  20. Loads of balls into the box and Zimba didn’t get onto the end of any of them. 😡
  21. They play Hamilton next while we play in the cup. Another fairly tough one for them. Fingers crossed they slip up again and we’re ahead with a game in hand going into the big one.
  22. There’s still hope for us, with Stenny being capable of slipping up just like us. The game against them will play a huge part in deciding the title.
  23. We all love Dick Campbell Well, until we play them 25th April Never in doubt 2-2 Alloa leading at HT and up to 50 Pos Team Pld Gd Pts ICTFC 31 32 58 😠 Stenny 31 19 57 3 Alloa 31 16 50 4 QotS 31 6 45
  24. I went to make the fire up, having given up on any hope in this, and sat down to find that had happened! No doubt not the last twist or turn in this title race!
  25. Nathan Austin Baby 2-2 Two goals in a minute Munro and Austin.....10 minutes to go.
  26. 4 wins and a draw gives us the title id imagine. Some serious talks need to be had this coming week with the team.
  27. That reminds me, I tried to build a garage in my garden but couldn’t because of the rotten tools I had. It would have been great garage too! Glad he was sitting down too. bc
  28. I've said thus a couple of times already that I didn't think Kellagher was a particularly good manager, coach maybe but manager no. His team selections are baffling as are playing players out of position and Gas no plan B tactically. Billy simply shouldn't be starting anymore, sure bring him on as a sub if needed but he cannot play as the main striker. Bavidge needs to play through the middle as he has the pace and skills to make runs that Billy can't anymore. Chalmers needs dropped as he slows the game down far too much. Everyone there last night could seem substitutions needed made and the pace upped by using the subs. Everyone except Kellagher that is which is concerning and, although too late now, we need to work out alternative ways to play. Teams have sussed up out, especially since Christmas and Kellagher hasn't responded. He isn't the man to lead us if we get to the Championship and sadly, think we need to sever ties at the end of the season.
  29. A rather cryptic message 😂 Pardon my naivity but if you’re saying he already helps pick the team then I’ll be switching on Sergeant Fraser mode…
  30. Just woke up after a nightmare rerun of the match, only this time Billy took the penalty 😱. Thinking on it I misread Kells, it’s a master-stoke he played last night. I’m thinking he’s in above his level and doesn’t possess the all round skills to bully, shake and motivate his players (too much a buddy), grasp when a sub is needed and stand still at interviews. - As with the game against Alloa all along what he was doing was testing the strength and weakness on QoFS when we get them in the playoffs! bc
  31. We huffed and puffed. Hopeful punts in the box. Stray passes. Never looked like scoring and needed a second bite at a poorly taken penalty, we got lucky there. Lots of team changes tonight which may have unsettled the side but that's no excuse. Queens did a good job on use but they didn't have to try very hard to do that...and they could have won it. It's Stennys title to lose now I feel but a glimmer of hope for us if we beat them away and, at the moment, that is a big IF.
  32. Can’t really add anything to what’s been said. Disappointing performance and result in front of our biggest crowd of the season. Another case of what might have been, but I feared the worst after our near misses early in the first half and their keeper had a good game.
  33. Only one team in it in the second half, how did SK hold off on the subs for so long and then play Willox, who has barely featured since the stenhousemuir Cup game.
  34. Delighted if I’m proven wrong but it’s Stenny’s title now. Gutted at this display but tbh, been gutted pretty much every week since the new year. Can’t see us winning another league game this season although we’ll probably win the diddy cup. Kel’s a good coach and we owe him for stepping up to the plate in a crisis, but he’s not a manager. I would have Charlie manage the team and see the season out.
  35. We were so lucky with that penalty. Should never have been awarded (a rare refereeing error in our favour recently), the very saveable penalty was saved and the sclaffed rebound attempt creeps in via the keeper and defender I think. BBC have it as an OG but it should actually be credited to Millen because it was on target and going in before the attempts to stop it.
  36. Poor Paul Allan, he should have had some part in this game?
  37. Yep, For all the criticism of Millen he had a good game IMO and put a lot of dangerous crosses into the box. Simply no striker getting onto them properly. Our penalty looked very soft, but you have to take what comes your (our) way. For me it was important we did not loose tonight. A case of we are a bit fragile just now and a defeat may have cut deep at a time when we can’t afford to feel sorry for ourselves. Draw was the right result IMO. We did not have anyone that could raise their game to control the match. Last point - Why leave Spoony to a couple of minutes to the end to bring on??? bc
  38. 1-1 FT Yet another 2 points dropped.
  39. Yeah I commented on this on Facebook. I really don't see what's in it for ICT. Good luck to them and all that, and maybe some time down the line there's something to be had from it, but the article makes the connection sound pretty significant with US wide recognition coming because of this. There is probably more brand recognition in myself and @luvgravy wearing our ICT tops to a Toronto FC game so I have to say our former CEO or one time potential phygital chairman back then would be mighty proud of the verbage and spin. These were my facebook comments (which someone in their supporters didnt seem to like ;)) then ... Bottom line is that USL2 is tier 4 (of 5) in the US pyramid and these 2 graphics kind of explain it. Click image to make them bigger. No-one outside of the local base for each team hears of them unless they perhaps do something in the US Open Cup (equivalent of Scottish Cup) where you might hear the name if one of these teams did a giant killing act. Sacramento Republic are the closest thing to an upset and that team reached the Open Cup Final in 2022 with Nick Ross taking part (came on as 88th minute sub) as Orlando beat them 3-0. Sacramento were tier 2 of the pyramid ....
  40. Glad someone is checking his sums
  41. Footballs a funny game, lets see how Stenny cope if and when they get to the front.
  42. Goodbye League title. Goodbye
  43. Why oh why didn't we make some more substitutions when it was clear we were going nowhere? Billy should have been off long before he was taken off. Wotherspoon should have been on much earlier, to use his experience to make things happen or find a way through. Alonge was useless all through the the game. And I still don't rate Savage. At fault for Queens' goal, and nearly caused a second. Too many lazy short passes to someone who has one of two opponents closing in on them. Looks superficially good and boosts his pass completion stats, but gets us nowhere. I no longer have any confidence.
