  1. Deary me, if people aren't going because they might hear words that haven't been verified as acceptable by their local church minister, then they probably shouldn't be allowed out of the house unaccompanied!

  2. Indeed, a lot of points still to play for, let's celebrate at the end of the season! No, no. We'll just collect the Manager of the season at the end of the season instead! As for the comments about the central belt "meeja" let's not worry about that - quite happy to see us fly a little under the radar, even while we're the highest flying team in the country. Let them all continue to think it's all a bit of a novelty. In the meantime we'll just keep racking up point after point after... (sshhhhh!! )

  3. In United's defence, the Arabs should have scored a dozen goals. County got off lightly in my opinion. Leaking goals like they are doing is the stuff that relegations are made of.

  4. As a fan of ICT, who falls firmly in the Caley camp in our club's history, I guess I must have no self respect then !!!! but I do pride myself on not having this kind if parochial attitude. What utter nonsense, and the merchandise rationale sounds more like parsimony than protest ! When I wore it to a TFC game (as seen in the pic above), I got at least 40 or 50 comments from fellow TFC fans that it was a great looking top (despite the model wearing it), it looked different to most other teams, and was pretty much unique .... no-one thought it was "a complete mess" .... personally, I like it !

  5. Albion Rovers v. Spartans Auchinleck Talbot v. St. Cuthbert Wanderers Berwick Rangers v. Peterhead Brora Rangers v. Cove Rangers Buckie Thistle v. Annan Athletic Dalbeattie Star v. Montrose Deveronvale v. Linlithgow Rose East Stirlingshire v. Threave Rovers Edinburgh City v. Fraserburgh Formartine United v. Inverurie Loco Works Gala Fairydean Rovers v. Clyde Keith v. Elgin City Newton Stewart or Fort William v. Culter or Lossiemouth Queen's Park v. Preston Athletic Stirling Albion v. Whitehill Welfare Turriff United v. Wick Academy Some interesting ties! Brora and Wick will consider their games winnable. There's a Moray derby with Elgin visiting Keith, probably for the first time since their Highland League days. Steve Paterson's Formartine have a good chance to progress with a home tie against near-neighbours, Inverurie. The next round will include Rangers, Dunfermline and 6 Championship clubs - massive incentive for all the teams - Culter must have a fighting chance of getting there - and the other 2 junior clubs, particularly Auchinleck Talbot, could join them.

  9. We should all get guns and roam the streets of Inverness rounding up non-attenders then marching them into the ground every Saturday.

  11. Methinks that should be a cracker of a game. It would be a shame for the fans to miss it. But ....playing it on a Sunday? Go Figure! Electronics have taken over the corporate minds and control of the game now.

  12. No, you're not being too harsh. The other week when we drew at Celtic the BBC report was that Celtic had been held to a draw by Inverness rather than the league leaders being held to a draw by Celtic.

  15. Been found out. Second season syndrome, the novelty has well and truly worn off. Don't get me wrong, I have no desire to see RC go down, it is a far more interesting league with them in it, I would just prefer they had an adult in charge.

  20. Thanks for letting me on you're forum. I'm not a cally fan-i live in SW England don't really support any club, but it is such a breath of fresh air to see you're club doing so well. Even down south people are talking about "butchers club doing well"regular topic of conversation in some clubs/bars i go to. One thing that is poor though, you're attendances, being top of the league/challenging for a euro spot i would have thought you're home matches would have 6/7000 in-why only 3-4000?? So sad for a club that is doing really well/punching above you're weight. Good luck

  21. Kingsmills I am rather less than sure about that. The SNP exists for the sole purpose of taking Scotland out of the UK and everything else comes a poor second to that objective. I am also sure that this will become even clearer as the referendum approaches - as will be their attempts to pick fghts wth "the Westminster government" which has become their latest bete noire now that they can no longer gripe on about "the English" since their Anglophobia count was getting dangerousy high. Well. of course it does and they have never made any secret of the fact.which is why the Scottish Parliament voting system was deliberately set up by Westminster to ensure there would never be majority Governments in Scotland as the SNP vote increased......just in case! That worked as well as they anticipated, didn't it.... NOT......much as most of their policies have achieved what was anticipated...NOT. Having lived through the years since 1999 with Scotland and the Scots being called "subsidy junkies" and lots of other pejorative names........I really struggle to understand why the Westminster Government wants to keep us at all..because I get the impression that if voters in England had a say....we'd be set adrift on a raft with no paddle. You surely don't think that the UK Government, that bastion of probity, fairness, equity and social conscience could possibly have an ulterior motive which benefits them but not us, do you? I will be voting in this referendum for the future of my great-grandchild and future great-grandchildren, which I think will be best served in an Independent Scotland and not within the Union. In the 1979 referendum, I voted and actively worked for the future of my children...and in the 1997 referendum, for the future of my grandchildren, I used to assume the SNP would go their own ways as individuals into other political parties when independence had been achieved (I had planned the LibDems, myself)....but now I'm not so sure that's a good idea....at least not until there is a centre/centre left party for which I can vote, who can stand in elections in Scotland after Independence (as in registered in Scotland as a Scottish Party as opposed to registered in the UK as a UK wide Party) and produces policies tailored to Scottish needs and aspirations. . I'd say I am thoroughly disillusioned with the UK mainstream parties...but that is stating the obvious...however, I'm also thoroughly disillusioned with the Scottish versions of the UK parties. They are, and always have been, imo, vitriolic against the SNP to the point of irrational obsession....and are simply the ventriloquist's dummies for their UK based masters (and I use the term dummies advisedly) in this independence "debate"..and every time they open their mouths, they add another yes vote to the total.......much as Unionist MPs travelling to Scotland and being reported in the MSM telling us what to think do. They don't have to pick fights with the Westminster Government, any more than the wee laddie cowering behind the bike-shed has to pick fights with the school bully...but if you want to consider that contradicting the lies, disinformation, misrepresentation, spin etc produced by Westminster and faithfully reported by your "journalist" cohorts in the MSM, is on a par with punching the nose of the bully who has just grabbed your dinner money..then that says a lot more about your attitude than it does about that of pro-independence supporters. With you being a "journalist" or something on that lines , anyone of my age would expect unbiased and temperate views.and not bias couched in unsupported "facts" .......but then I used to live in the days when the media was at least almost even handed enough to use the occasional "maybe","perhaps", "allegedly","it is said". "an unnamed source" etc...which flagged up the fact that the "news" report was more related to gossip interpreted by the "journalist" than actual fact....so kindly link me to something unbiased which confirms your assertion that their attempts to pick fghts wth "the Westminster government" which has become their latest bete noire now that they can no longer gripe on about "the English" since their Anglophobia count was getting dangerousy high.

  23. Tichy if I'm trolling its certainly not intentional In my opinion no self respecting Caley fan would ever wear the away top As long as ICT continue to display the Thistle on the badge I personally won't purchase club merchandise but I certainly am not stopping any of my fellow ICT fans from doing so, like I said its my personal opinion Dougal Take away the thistle and the fekkin eagle falls on its ass

    • Inverness CT -V- Morton - Preview
Well, where do you start. It was clear from the begining of the season that something was wrong. Poor signings, dismal performances in the League Cup followed by an abysmal start to the League campaign saw Billy Dodds removed from his position after winning one point in the first six Championship fixtures and replaced by a man with no track record as a manager. A sort of publicity stunt if you like. After the initial new manager bounce wore off, we found ourselves little better off with Big Dunc than we were with wee Billy. We did claw ourselves up to the coat tails of others but the most damning part of our season has been our inability to score goals, especially at home. Only already relegated Arbroath are worse than us. Our team is now full of mercenaries, loan players with no affiliation to our Highland pedigree and many fans have tagged us as being the worst squad ever in our short history. Where are the Golabeck's, Tokeley's, Wilson's..... Much of this can be attributed to our lack of financial nous in the boardroom, failed ventures and now the begging bowls are being put in place to save our club. Having drawn at Dunfermline last week thanks to Aribim Pepple's first goal for the club combined with Billy Mckay's penalty miss, it's now out of our own hands. LAST SIX: D L  W W L  D

    • Dunfermline 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Out of our hands now: It ended in disappointment for the 319 visiting fans with news that Queens Park had hammered Arbroath 0-5. To rub salt into the wounds, Sheridan and Welsh were amongst the scorers. It's out of our hands now, but it's a must win next Friday and hope Queens Park falter.  Inverness play Morton and Queens play Airdrie. A draw might be enough, but it's a long shot.

I'm not convinced that Billy Mckay was the right man to be taking that penalty, his second failure from the spot in successive games against the Pars.

    • Dunfermline Ath -V- Inverness CT - Preview
Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!
