Can see it. Butcher is fond of him and has asked him what he wants from his future...presumably before aberdeen told him this.

i would love to see him at the club again.

He was reliable player which is something we do need.

Cox has been playing pretty well, so has Russell, is he better than those two? its another wage.

According to the P & J we are trying to get him back.

If we do get him it really would be worth letting McBain go unless we plan on offering him a coaching role within the club. He is a model pro so that wouldn't be a totally bad idea.

Its between us and Partick Thistle apparently

It wouldn't suprise me if Imrie is being sold to free up some cash to bring Duff in.

It always amazes me when teams who are due to meet all of a sudden seem to be interested in the same player. Tactics to try and delay them signing for the other team before the game do you think???

Well if what your thinking is right Don then Duff will be an ICT player by the end of tomorrow. :tonguecheek:

Any word on what is happening with Stuart Duff?

I'd be very surprised if Duff ends up back at ICT , the commuting was what scuppered it last time . Probably end up in a Central belt side .

In what world is the central belt closer to Aberdeen?

Lets not pick holes in it, Duff did say the commute was a bit of a killer from Aberdeen to Inverness, but im sure if he got a long enough Contract he'd up sticks and move where ever.

With him only being on loan here, then exstending it would leave him with a commute, TX'd here then he'd move I'm sure.

That said, Commitment wise we had two players that did the run every game from Aberdeen way back in the day if i mind right. doesnt Iain V not stay that way too.

In what world is the central belt closer to Aberdeen?

Probably because his family are all in the central belt.

When your family home is in the Central belt

Just been informed he's signed for Ross County on a deal until the end of the season.

Source is someone in the Ross County coaching set up.

WHAT????!!!!

They're even beating us there?

So much for the commuting being a problem. Ah well he's average anyway don't know what the hype was about.

Typical.

I would be surprised if this were true and anyway I doubt Duff would be able to get into the County team as he is a very average player

TBH I couldn't really see what all the fuss was about.

Anyone been able to confirm this yet? I wouldn't be too surprised though, County have ALWAYS pipped up to sign players in the past. Most of the time they've done us a favour though.

Didnt really like him. He was pretty lackluster
