Come On County !

Sincere good wishes to our neighbours from Dingwall for sunday's Diddy Cup final.

I also wish them well. And diddy cup it is not. Remember we also held it and believed in it back then. And besides, just imagine, those players, if they are successful, will pick up that glorious trophy and kiss the name 'Inverness Caledonian Thistle'. :003:

Hasn't the team that won the challenge cup also won promotion over the last few years?

St. Mirren last year, Falkirk before that, before them was us...

Whoever wins is going to have to pick it up quickly to keep that record going.

ross county suck, clyde win

Aye, all the very BEST to our neighbours, go get em COUNTY.

Reported on BBC sport yesterday that County are the best supprted team in Scottish football owing to per head of population count.

A good cup this one, but dearie me, sad sad memories of Teasdale missing that penalty!

It was a clever touch naming the team after the county rather than Dingwall.

It means the hicks put aside their inter-village rivalries when they come down from the hills and unite in support of their wee county team.

A rather large, but dwindling herd of them from Wester Ross boards the train at Kyle of Lochalsh on Saturday morning to see their team and return pssed off in the evening before embarking on a night of high jinks.

Perhaps we should have named our team 'Highland' or something similar and maybe got a bit more support from around the region.

Anyway, good luck to them. I don't see them as rivals anymore and wish them all the best.

Aren't we all being just a wee bit patronising here?  :003:

Go on Clyde :021:

Martin Cameron looked like a world beater when we played Alloa... where is he now??

Clyde were 1-0 up

Must admit i'd like to see County win this game, possibly because i dislike Clyde more than County.

Aye well done - guess they'll have to buy a trophy cabinet now  :016:

Good for them, it may give them a boost in their efforts to stay in the First Division.

What sort of crowd was there ?

They can do what they like with this particular trophy.  Hopefully, we will never be eligible to compete for it again.
