yeah, there is an award for Young Player of the Month, but it's gone to Stuart Bannigan (who?) of Partick Thistle!?! Denying us the chance of a clean-sweep like we achieved last November when Butcher, McKay and Doran got the awards.

Great pic !  He deserves it, of course.

Well done SIR TERRY BUTCHER  :clapping:  :clapping:  :clapping:

Keep up the good work

Great recognition for the hard work - lets hope it continues and is the first of many more awards this year

Well done Mr B, you have collected the award on behalf of a great team you have put together.

Should jolly well think so. Been a terrific month for the club.

Having only just now read the 'article' on the BBC sport site

'Caley Thistle lead the top flight, three points ahead of the champions, who nevertheless have a game in hand. '

Am I reading too much into the statement by thinking this is the west coast biased BBC suggesting we may be top but only because Celtic have their game in hand - perhaps its the use of the word 'nevertheless', but don't see that giving us the credit we deserve - wonder what cicumstances this season we will get the recognition in the national media - or am I being too harsh?

Well done Terry you deserve that - lets make it 2 in a row :ictscarf:

Celtic may well have a game in hand but we have the upper hand and could well stay above them until they travel to the fortress on 29th Dec. All we got to do is match them and maintain the GD.

Deserves recognition but I'm not sure I'm happy about it. Historically when he's won it we've done poor next few games.

No, you're not being too harsh.  The other week when we drew at Celtic the BBC report was that Celtic had been held to a draw by Inverness rather than the league leaders being held to a draw by Celtic.

Suppose its just like last nights Sportscene where the league leaders were on 3rd and the conversation was more about the 'issues' at Killie than our players, team and performance. Fail to see how as leaders for 6 wks now we shouldnt have been 2nd on after the wknds big game.

Terry had better watch himself  - the last manager to unexpectedly make such a blistering start and lead the SPL like this promptly got sacked!

But apart from George Burley's Hearts in 2005, this must be the next best start to the ever made by an non-Old Firm team. And when you consider the gulf in wages, ours is as good an achievement as that terrific Hearts side, who with Romanov's millions had internationalists in their prime like Gordon, Pressley, Webster, Hartley and Skacel.

Well deserved too, still another 96 points to play for though.

Indeed, a lot of points still to play for, let's celebrate at the end of the season!

No, no.  We'll just collect the Manager of the season at the end of the season instead!

As for the comments about the central belt "meeja" let's not worry about that - quite happy to see us fly a little under the radar, even while we're the highest flying team in the country.  Let them all continue to think it's all a bit of a novelty.  In the meantime we'll just keep racking up point after point after...

(sshhhhh!!  )

Don't you just get the impression that them thar folks are thunking:

Gosh, darn it, I soooo wish that this darned lower league team would just go away...  haughty sniff.

Well, chums, this is our season and we are going to be the championeeeees. :notworthy:

.... and subsequently loses the 1st game after.

It's a curse a tell thee!

The CURSE!!!!!!!!!!!

Trivia - Terry Butcher is third equal with Ross Jack as longest serving managers in SPFL. Gardner Speirs tops the list with Dick Campbell second.
