Did you actually read the reply before posting this?. Try using some punctuation and checking before you post  if you want to make yourself more easily understood, that is not a dig at you, just an observation on your post.

I really wouldn't be having a go at anyone until you can at least use capital letters and full stops. My 6 year old can do that.

Surely it's "over the top" comments like this people can't be bothered with?

scottishhighlands.... your response is completely out of order and extremely ill-considered. Manfer actually provided an extremely sensible and practical answer - especially given the circumstances in which the club's information and PR arrangements have found themselves for some time now.

I would have thought Scottishhighland's original post was a perfectly reasonable question.  What would be the point of asking the club if somebody on this forum knows the answer and by giving a quick answer can inform not just the OP but the rest of us as well?  Secondly, it is reasonable to ask the question here first given that others on here are always saying how difficult it is to get any information out of the club.

The question was reasonable, as was the answer, post 3 was not.

My (uninformed) opinion is that they shut it down last weekend as part of the reaction to the misdirected 'like'. They said it would be investigated so cant really open it up for posting the next day. Once they have investigated I reckon that normal service will be resumed.

The communication from the club at the moment is about as organised and about as reliable as that from Donald Trump's West Wing.

It's a perfectly reasonable question, and the answer too is quite acceptable as well.

It's been the clubs decision, somewhere, to suspend twitter use at present so they're best suited to answer that query. This being said, you are, if anyone knows, far more likely to get any communication from those on this site than from official channels so your OP was not necessarily a forlorn request.

As for your reply though. Less sugar. It's not good for you and makes you hyperactive.

The club is still tweeting about other things though it was just the match against Forfar that wasn't covered for some reason. Seems bizarre not to have some kind of update from the game.

My understanding - and it might not be entirely accurate - is that the editorial team use the 'team' function of Tweetdeck to share the account and post updates. This allows multiple people to tweet under one account without knowing the master password. This was previously turned on/off as required to make sure the account was secure and is likely set to off right now. Others in the stadium who post commercial or other team news etc post directly to twitter so would still have access.

nothing sinister and likely to be remedied when the club complete any investigation ... hopefully by this weekend ?

Odd that the Danny MacDonald announcement was made by email and on the club site but nothing on the Twitter account. Is Twitter banned pending the "formal investigation" ( ) into the smutty video issue?

MI5 and the FBI take longer to investigate than just a week you know!

It's a joke really. Someone in the team has obviously just "liked" something they shouldn't have done. It's could be a genuine error (hopefully the case) and they should be warned to be more careful in future. If it's suspected that it may have been a practical joke on account of 1 person then it's a little more serious as it's deliberately damaging the club image.

Whether or not the club can actually contact twitter to find out who did it I don't know.

I suspect most fans, even those with children, probably don't care that much anyway.

Whatever the case the club just need to move on and get the twitter going again.

Seems like it's sorted.

Was the Twitter account really closed down solely because of Porngate or was there something else as well?

I think there was just no one available to do updates.
