I am fairly certain that most fans/posters on here know that at the end of this season there is likely to be a mass exodus of players leaving so my simple question is, would you rather we replaced them with experienced players or youngsters because I am clearly in the youngsters camp but would also believe that we may need some experienced players no matter what league we're in but especially if we're in league 1 which is the worst case scenario but also the most likely unless we can win our 6 pointers against Arbroath, Queens Park and Dunfermline 🤔.

I don't know who's here for next season but I would imagine that the key ones to retain if at all possible are Billy McKay and Mark Ridgers : ictscarf:

If only the club did something positive to temp fans to put money into the club!!!

For instance, ask Scot Gardiner to announce his final day of employment but at least confirm rumours about him staying are false.

In the light of the IT meltdown extend the date for discounted season ticket sales by two weeks. Innovate by saying season tickets will be discounted after each home game to reflect remaining fixtures.

Completely agree. An effective communication strategy isn't difficult but it does require a minimum of two working brain cells deployed simultaneously allied to a coherent strategy

There are Highland league clubs putting our club to shame on the communication / fan / community engagement front.

Ujdur to Queens Park now confirmed. I hope the “undisclosed fee’ is not zero.

They didn't want to put " will cover next months wage bill" as the fee.

As he was looking for us to cover the difference between his wage here and there then it's possible we paid him/them.

According to the P&J, MacKinnon and a goalie may well be signed today. Duffy also in the frame but sounds less likely to happen today.

We badly need another CM so hopefully that’s true. I wonder who the GK is?

Signing new players when we don't have money to pay the existing ones at the end of the month sounds like an amazing thing to be doing.

But Ketan is picking up the August wage bill 😂😂

The club has also confirmed that youngsters Shae Keogh, Ben Corner and Szymon Rebilas have signed contracts. We all knew they had given they’ve featured in the squad all season.

Adam MacKinnon and Flynn Duffy have joined us, midfielder and left back respectively.

No word yet of a goalkeeper or Wallace Duffy rejoining.

Source is Inverness Courier: Sounds like the next signing could be the Spanish trialist GK that was on the bench today so I presume dud read the article in said paper where Mr Makwana said transfers are available on a case by case basis 🤷.

If it helps the detective work, he seemed pally with the Dumbarton no 3 as the subs left the pitch at the end of half time.

Duffy looked like he had some of Tremarco's DNA. Played well for the whole game. Mackinnon played well in the first half.  GK Mik Juana ?

The trialist goalie is Musa Dibaga, formerly at Bo’ness United.

I’ve seen him play, Luncarty v Bo’ness in the Scottish Cup last season. Didn’t have a lot to do but made a couple of decent saves when called upon.

I think Mantis will know more about him as he had previously played for Whitehill.

Duffy slow react at their goal. Also he needs to work on his crosses, Maybe both players a wee bit rusty?  Should come good I think.

So much for accommodation costs being an issue for signing players.

Are there currently any free agent keepers living in the Highlands who are good enough? What else can we do, especially for that position.

Obviously we had 2 keepers at the end of last season but we were not in a position to offer extensions to anyone at that point in time due to impending administration so they moved on (and maybe DF just didn’t rate them either, or at least didn’t consider them sufficient value for money on a tight budget?)

That’s right. A year at WW from Aug 2021 in the EOSL Div 1 (tier 7) but far too good for that level - quite a few clubs were after him. Bo’ness would be happy to retain him, they’re in the LL these days.

Not now no but there was a certain Mark Ridgers who was available but the club decided not to bother speaking to put of contract players. When queried about Ridgers specifically the club then lied and said they'd been in discussions with his agent.

And it definitely wasn't an issue of rating Ridgers there were other (petty) issues for not renewing his deal from the club.

I'd imagine Cammy Mckay might have stayed if he had thought that was an option too?

Wallace Duffy might be back. Bit mixed about that as he's injury prone. With all the plastic pitches he might be on the sidelines injured more than on the park.

And Musa Dibaga the trialist GK from last weekend.

It seems that potentially more signings/loans are likely if this article is to go by.

Slightly off topic but there's a quote in there that proves my point about not judging KM before he's even started and that is "he's a very positive guy with lots of positive ideas for the club". That is the type of positivity I like to see so let's see if he delivers on this :ictscarf:

We badly need a striker but let’s get another defender in.
