Adams is all talk. Apart from the very good cup run, he's done nothing. He took over County when they were already top of div 2, and the only full time team in that division, and may have got them relegated the following season if Brewster hadn't signed and scored a few goals towards the end. This season, they've been awful and he's brought them to the brink of relegation again. As well as that, he's a nutter. If he's not punching his own players, he's falling out with coaches, and even sacked Ross Jack. Why he's rated, i don't know! He thinks he can give Calderwood an insight into the SPL?! He hasn't been there in a few years. The only thing he is good at is, trying to play the psychological game by using the press, other than that, he's pish!4 points

Good post Wyness hopefully he'll get a good turn out and sell a fair number of copies I certainly will be popping along to purchase my copy Book looks like a hard back and off good quality which is always a bonus. I was in said waterstones last Friday and stumbled upon " Up stephen's Brae" I kid you not it looked like it had been literally typed up on a pre war type writer and stapled together by primary kids All the best big Dunc with the sales2 points

I have absolutely no problem with Duncan Shearer - Legend? Not so sure. We had a football forum with Duncan and Brian Irvine and they shared some really good stories. I remember the announcement about leaving to join Aberdeen and it wasn't well handled, but I don't bear any grudges about that. I have only 1 issue with the book and that is that he promoted it on the back of Pele's problems. It was on the radio all the time and all it went on about was how difficult life was working with a guy with so many problems - nothing about Duncan's career. I felt really sorry for Pele who has already opened his heart in his own book (which I loved, by the way) and opening these wounds when Pele is still doing really well wasn't IMHO necessary1 point

Both. History has shown us, that ICT always, without a shadow of a doubt do better when they play attacking football, using speedy effective wingers and keeping the ball on the deck. There's no two ways about it.1 point

Mark saved a penalty against Celtic in our first SPL season at Pittodrie. Didn't get the accolade he deserved as they scored from the rebound.1 point

That's the best I've seen us this season. We controlled the game for long spells, and if we'd taken our chances we could've had 6 or 7 easily. Brown made a few fantastic saves as well, and Richie was unlucky not to get himself a first half hat-trick. Every player was immense, and other than 2 very sloppy goals, it's hard to be critical. Hayes certainly made up for his woeful back pass by playing two stunning passes to help Rooney get his hat trick. Great performance...10/101 point

Rooney, Foran and Hayes, the best attack in the SPL. Rooney took his goals brilliantly, Hayes playmaking was majestic and was great for Foran to get off the mark for the season. Despite the 2 poor goals we conceded i thought we contained the likes of Nish, Riordan and Rankin very well. Thought everyone was great today, paticuarly Nick and Shinnie, their best games so far imo. A much needed home win and with a few home games coming up after the parkhead fixture will do great for the players confidence.1 point

That second half was absolutely barmy. I need a lie down now. How on earth will we hold on to Rooney? He had a quiet first half, but he took his second and third goals beautifully. Hats off to Hayes - instead of cowering in his shell after he gave that gift to Riordan, he went and laid on two for Adam with sublime passes. Wasn't Lee Cox brilliant today? Back to his Duracell bunny best. Thought Shinnie had a blinder too. And there are three certainties in life - death, taxes, and that Mark Brown can't save penalties. Fantastic. How many bottles of wine do we currently owe TB as a Christmas gift?1 point

Would you say we are playing attractive football just now? I think we are and we're top 6 at the moment so can i have that please? But i don't think defensive football is always unnattractive, if we played like Greece did in Euro 2004 and we were grinding out the results for a top 6 finish i'd still be happy. I'd also be happy if we were winning 4-3 etc in the first division though and i think thats where we have played our most attractive football. As long as we are giving our all and aren't in danger of relegation i don't mind how we get the wins, as long as we get them. Having said that... I hated how Spain won the world cup with their 1-0 wins. Oh i don't know1 point

Nice one but not the worst miss I've ever seen. I've seen Barrowman play.1 point

Agreed, he is used to working with next to nothing in terms of money and he will inherit a good squad and Andy Barrowman.1 point

All "ifs" and "might haves" in his defense....my opinions are based on the facts of how things played out. For me it has nothing to do with him (or Pele) leaving, nobody can deny the great job they did whilst here and I'll always appreciate that. What gets on my goat is the manner in which he conducted himself on his departure and that smarmy ersed interview in which he showed a total lack of respect for ICT....that kind of behaviour cannot, for me, be excused. If he chose to do a signing at the stadium I wouldn't lose any sleep and if the club shop chose to stock it and make a few quid themselves, then great. I'll probably buy/borrow it for a read at some point as it contains sections on his time at ICT, but I'll not be falling over myself to meet him to get a signed copy.1 point

My question is simple; Why do i have to be logged in to read the follow up posts to each thread?? I feel we are excluding hundreds if not thousands of potential fans worldwide by not enabling them to view each thread and see what we are all about In my opinion we should be promoting the ICT brand to a world wide audience not restricting it to its members I would like to point it out that this is NOT a dig at the mods as i'm sure they have their reasons why they have set the forum out like this After the result today ICT find themselves in the strongest position they have ever been in so could we somehow be stunting the growth? P.s i'm on the kopparberg tonight so i hope the above makes sense Thoughts dougal0 points

Was just thinking off an interesting wee, not too taxing question to ask. And i have come up with this. Which would you rather. Would you like ICT to play attractive, attcking football, which doesnt nescescarily garentee points on the board. or Play unattractive, dull but effective football....which could possibly mean a top 6 finish?0 points

Thats what I was thinking . Pele left and took Shearer with him yet Pele is seen as some sort of "legend" and Shearer gets slated-1 points

funny that .... if you go to the stats section of the site (ie. the squad or matches link in the "Team Info" menu entry at the top of the page) you can filter all the results to show these sorts of answers ......... Whilst overall totals for players who were with us before 2004 may not be correct as we still have results and stats to add ... all SPL stats are correct.-1 points

Totally deserved win today... We gifted them their 2 goals, from stupid mistakes... Hope Hayes is better for next week... Just before he was subbed, he said he was "done"... - holding his hamstring....-1 points
