  1. Dont take it to heart Mahonio, was looking at an IHE anagram on another post which got me thinking and by the way, Mahonio = Oh I moan.

  2. Am I alone in feeling that the ins and outs this pre season are a most encouraging sign for the future of ICT - We are not going for glam signings or overpriced sugnings - but we are recruiting a bunch of high potential younger bracket players - who to be fair may or may not make it - but that is building fer the future in my book and we arent going for loan signings or Johnny Foreigners looking fer a wage and a move upwards. I doff ma flat cap to Terry and Mo for being so "brave" to go for this sort of outlook - Get this type of squad to gel together and we will hold our own, install that feeling of gratitude and loyalty to ICT - and we may well shock a few this season. I actually feel more confident pre season than I ever have done. This feels like a together squad all round that has something to prove and have the shop window to do so in. BRING IT FECKIN ON - CALEYAWAY WITH TERRY AND MO

  3. Seems to me, from that quote, that maybe he p!ssed someone off badly and was told where to get off. Wrong attitude or something.

  4. Hmmm, young player gets his break at an SPL club and asks a bitter ex trialist for advice, do you really think he'd pass up an opportunity to show what he is made of because he might get dropped on the bus in front of "team mates" he does not really know? A coach at another club asks ICT's coaching staff for advice on a trialist we had looked at previously and is told "he was okay, not quite what we were looking for but the worst thing is if you don't take him on he will bad mouth you all over twitter and get your fans on his side asking for you or your collegues to be sacked" do you think said trialist would get an opportunity based on this reference? caleyrule, you have done this guy no favours at all.

  5. Whilst I really do sympathise with this young man I feel it's a bit unfair to call for the sacking of one of our youth coaches, one of the coaches who have done this club a great service in finding the likes of Nick Ross, Graham Shinnie, Shane Sutherland, Gavin Morrison, These guys and Grant Munro. No one on here saw how well Liam Molesworth played last night, or has come on stating so, no one has commented on how well or badly he trained with the squad. We do not know the circumstances behind why he was told on the bus, it may well have been that the feeling was telling him as early as possible would cause less grief to the guy, who was obviously in high emotions after scoring for the team. Sorry for saying this but we are not really in a position to call for the sacking of a coach, just because he decided someone is not good enough for us and made the choice to let him down as early as possible.

  6. After scoring on his debut last night we then told him we wouldn't be offering him a contract and he was getting released Where did we tell him this? Yup on the bus infront of the other players Once again our club makes a mockery of itself and if other young players are to talk to liam, I would imagine he would advise to stay away from us When will our club have a right good look at itself we can't carry on like this

  7. 10 possibilities for you: - swap them for shares in The News of the World. - take them apart and them put them back together in a random order to make "30 or so" strange/abstract programs. - exchange each one for an item of confectionery worth no more than 74p and see what sweet treats you end up with. - place them inside the hymn books of your local church to help those who attend get through a Sunday service after an excessive Saturday night. - take them apart and wallpaper a single wall in your bathroom with the pages. - use them to give reading lessons to c*unty fans. - put them in a pile, cling film them together real tight and use the resulting firm brick type object to stand on to reach items on the top shelf. - hide them in your local neighbourhood and then create a treasure map with clues to find each one in date order. - develop altzhiemers or demenia so you forget all the details then you can give yourself a fresh football treat every time you read them. - glue several pages together, then cut them into squares to make a series of assorted ICT beer mats. The choice is yours really, do whatever your heart desires!

  8. Pre-season is well underway and he is still not back. Im sorry but as much as i wouldnt mind him staying he is not irreplaceable and i find it a tad ridiculous that he is being given this long to sign an extension. Given that he has had almost 2 months to do so. I dont know if he has been training with the team but he hasnt featured in any friendlies so i assume he hasnt. How much more time does he need?

  10. Is there going to be an inquiry as to why the penalty was not given? Or is this just another example of boobs being covered up in women's football?

  11. How can it be "personal reason" that "don't involve him"? That's a bit of an oxymoron is it not.

  12. The way I see it is no one player is bigger than the club grants wages would probably be more than players like A.shinnie, and tansey and tade sometime you have to make sacrifices and as much as I loved grant pushing the club forward is the most important thing. Next season we could be saying things like wats aldred doing grant would never do that but I'm looking at this as a positive move from the club.

  13. I rarely agree with anything you say Ender but the Grant Munro situation makes me mighty angry and I believe Butcher has possibly made the biggest mistake of his ICT managerial career to date In my opinion Grant should still be at the club and in the starting line up every week All i will say is that its a big risk Terry is taking to treat the local hero so shabbily dougal

  15. I would take what this kid is saying with a pinch of salt. After all he is a young lad posting on a social networking site. Although you shouldn't judge a book by its cover judging by his twitter page he looks quite cocky. We all know footballers (especially young ones) don't always act as total professionals. He could just be annoyed that he didn't get offered a contract last night. Its the word of someone who none of us have ever seen play or met against experianced memebers of staff at our club. I wish him best of luck with his playing career. I am by no means calling him a lier. After all I wasn't at the game or on the bus so I have no idea what if anything happened. I am just urging people not to jump to conclusions.

  16. Well said, some of the people on this forum should find something more constructive to do with their time rather than jumping on the backs of staff/coaches/board members/other fans at any available opportunity.

  17. Regular users of this site will know that I'm not really a golf fan at all. But I have to say I've quite got into this one, albeit with a fair degree of empathy with what Scotty has said. Indeed the TV coverage must be absolutely great for the Invernessian Disapora. The coverage of Inverness and the local area has been quite enormous and it was great to see "the town" buzzing last night with a huge crowd listening to the Gaelic Choir at the Castle with others watching Highland Dancing at the Town Hall and piping on the High Street. I also heard an anecdote from Cafe 1 that it had never been busier. I think I'll maybe make a foray out from the Social Club tonight and take a wander down town. Unfortunately, though, there have been the inevitable and predictable bloopers. Apart from Yngwie's Castle Douglas anecdote, one programme about the event was showing "local landmarks" and apparently these included the Glenfinnan Viaduct. The Culloden Viaduct would have done fine! Wednesday night's BBC weather forecast also unfortunately spelled the course StEWart.... and the dot locating it on the map was actually on the Black Isle round about Avoch or Munlochy. But the projection of the local area has been brilliant, although I just wonder how many more different ways the news pages will contrive to tell us "it's good for the local economy" (shock!) As I write, I'm listening to live commentary on Radio Scotland 810 Medium Wave where one of the commentators is Inverness's own Gillian Stewart. Unfortunately, an irish commentator keeps referring to Martin "Lard". Which reminds me....I'm just waiting to hear how impressive and imposing Colin Montgomerie's "backside" has been. A few months ago, I did (in jest I have to say) make the suggestion to the Head of Radio Scotland, that instead of commentary through the medium of the customary reverential whispering, we should do an Open All Mics with a reporter at each hole. Get Chic, Jim Spence and Sandra Brown on the job! "HOOOOOOOOOOOLLLE at the fifteenth!!!! A phenomenal drive from the tee... a neat chip to the green.... and a brilliant finish with a thirty foot putt for a phenomenal eagle. Paul Lawrie.... NINE under par!" Well it would certainly liven things up!

  20. Nothing to do with the topic of this thread, but I notice that Mahonio has, in two posts attracted 6 red dots for what appeared to me, having no prior history with him/her, pretty innocuous posts according to the level on this forum......so maybe it is about time the management/mods were thinking about removing or drastically limiting a system which appears to be so open to abuse.

  21. Scottish refs are NOT the worst in the world. http://video.uk.msn.com/watch/video/bizarre-world-cup-handball/1j4ual8wi?from=video_module Incidentally I see that the Aussie women's team are referred to as "The Matildas" so it is great to see such good progress away from the chauvanistic days of "Sheilas".

  23. So would you be one of the individuals who has given Mahonio three red dots in total for taking the proverbial out of himself? I'm afraid it very much does look like abuse because of personality clashes to me, rather than any effort to respond appropriately to posts actually made. Personally, if I can't give a green dot, I don't give any. I have never been on a forum before which allows members the option to denigrate other members posts without having to have the courage to put their names to their opinions. Red dots are the coward's reaction. After all, why would a discussion forum allow people not to have to discuss? I can see the point of the green dots as a plethora of "I agrees" would be rather monotonous...but red dots are disagreeing with something, which would, in a real discussion forum, require a few words of explanation. (And Mahonio.....try bolding words you want to emphasise......that arouses less ire than using Capitals on a forum...and smilies like rather than exclamation marks )
