  1. So it was 'we' at the start of the thread, now it's 'you'. So nobody on here sees these major problems? Only you o wise one...... Read your first post again, which definitely invites a slanging match. You slag off everything including ourselves the fans. The problem with you, since you deigned to move up amongst us, is that you think you are doing us a favour. Don't patronise us as if we have heather coming out of our ears. And learn something about the club's history. It's obvious in some of your posts that you haven't bothered. The fact is ICT probably has the smallest budget in the SPL and we do what we can to stay there. There was plenty of attractive attacking football in the lower divisions. We know Scottish fitba is shyte. If fitba is a big part of your life you should have researched it before moving up. For most of us ICT is part of our life - not a lifestyle choice.

  8. I feel quite sorry for him tbh, of all the times I have seen him play he's looked good and most of them has been from the right hand side which is not his natural position. If he can take the ball and run with it infield or down the wing and look composed I am in no doubt he can do it through the middle. He is a big lad as well with big upper body strength which would work in his favour up top, he also never looks down at being played on the right which is a sign of a good mentality within him. Everyone is already putting pressure on MacKay hoping he's going to be the one that can get us the goals but lets be honest he is somewhat of an unknown prospect, do we actually know if he will be able to produce the goods? With Shane I think he could and what do we really have to lose at the moment by playing him? We aren't taking our chances as much as we need and he is at the moment the most natural scorer we have. There just seems to be something that TB either doesn't like about him or isn't sure about, I hope he starts against Ayr up front and is able to bag a goal or two or at least put in a good performance.

  9. Having had a day to ponder what to say i will say this... We need to win...and soon! Aberdeen are not a good side but were made to look like one in what was arguably the most pathetic first half of football ive seen in years. The changes made were unjustified but not inappropriate. Im sure Butcher is trying to get to know his best starting 11 and yesterday will have gone a long way towards that - but not for the right reasons. * A. Shinnie seems to lack the strength and speed for this level and is absolutely not a second striker. Game for me turned when he was replaced by Doran. * Golobart should not have started but i thought gave a decent display which was overshadowed by his match deciding blooper. I dont know what was said at half time but we did up our game considerably in the 2nd half but the same old story continues where we create the chances but fail to convert them, yesterday were some of the worst as the chances were mainly passed up due to fear of shooting or dreadful first touches, im with the majority of folks thinking a new striker is needed, someone with a bit of pace and skill, all we have are battering rams up front and McKay at least another month from playing. This NEEDS to be addressed.

  10. I will always keep the faith but I am getting a bit edgy as losing can become a habit and confidence sapping - also getting too far adrift at the bottom is sould destroying. We are beginning to look fer the turn of the tide at the end of very game now. I never thought that I would say this but I am not bothered about the result against Ayr and wouldnt be bothered if we went mega change style. I really wanted a cup run this season but the clear focus must be placed on the two home games against Killie and the Jam Tarts. From a positive or perhaps reasonable excuse perspective - we have had a pre season and a start ravaged by injuries and suspensions - we have never had a settled squad to select from - we have made some very promising signings - the "togetherness" factor appears to be remaining intact but so many changes and newbies takes time to gel - time which we now dont have. From a negative perspective is that we have not secured an out and out striker which we clearly need - worringly and shockingly - irrespective of all the injuries etc. we still do not have to settled on a "system" and Terry and Mo clearly do not know what their preferred starting X1 are - I am very worried that they have been so reactive in both sticking with some players (Proctor / Tade) and throwing others in at the deep end (Aldred / Golobart) and not looking at giving some of the more long standing squad players such as Morrison and Sutherland a run in the team. The return to the "hoof" tactic is just wrong and it worries me that Terry and Mo appear to be 1-2 weeks behind some of the more astute armchair managers on this forum. A lack of consistency and a predication to reactive change have always been Terry's achilles heel. 0-1 points from the next two home games and I will be beginning to really worry and we are already becoming dependent on other results. The team selection and tactics are vital to get us up and running. I BELIEVE

  11. I have to say....when you think about it, i have to agree. Thats not to say i dont respect the job our lads are doing over there, but...the wars nowadays arent fought for the greater good....I firmly believe the whole afghnistan thing is about oil and resources and general greed, using the "war against terror" as a cover story, the poor soldiers are mere pawns

  12. I'll be honest, I never expected to see Halkirk V Inverness CT (LIVE) written anywhere. I'm sure SKy Sports are gutted to be showing Man Utd v Spurs rather than this.

  13. watching sportscene the kilmarnock manager could not understand why golabert went to ground at the edge of our box anticipating a cross from aberdeen player who then took 3-4 more strides before cutting ball back for aberdeen first goal. so i would say golabert at fault for both aberdeen goals. dont understand why butcher keeps changing middle 2 at back. any 2 from tokely, hogg, aldred would be ok if he stopped chopping and changing get a striker/ finisher in instead Ah watching Sportscene, that old one again, yeah it's all too easy to rely on that far too much, funny how the very first two clips of the game were the goals and nothing else. Forgive me if I tended to base my assessment on the whole game rather than just what Sportscene showed. Also would that be the same Kilmarnock manager that said the report he got from his staff claimed Caley were pretty decent in the first half, lets hope that scout picks the Killie team next week then cause he's clearly clueless. Golabart wasn't the only one at fault for the first goal and I tend to think he went for the tackle and realising he wasn't going to get the ball opted not to bring the man down, there were others in the box that should have picked up the runner. For the second yes it was ultimately his mistake that led to the goal but why put him in that position by making a pass that was the wrong one in the first place. Lets also not forget that he hadn't even had 24hrs with the squad either. The only thing I do agree with you on is the chopping/changing, read my other posts on here as I've said it already.

  14. This is a tricky one. We clearly need a striker and quickly too, should Shane be given this task it would be a pressure situation on him which is not fair. IMO we need someone else, as if he was given two or three games and did not come up with the goodies we're in trouble.

  16. Like a computer the human brain can only process the varibles that are out into it I have taken a lot of flack from many of you which is only to be expected , I have watch league football in England since 1949 . In fact I never missed a match for years If there has been anyone more dedicated to supporting teams through thick and thin I would be pleased to see him/her My last team of any note that I followed was Wimbledon. Not a great team but a team under Joe Kinnear that never gave up, they just didn't raise their game for the big matches and idle around for the small fry. I was always happy even when they lost because you could see they gave their all. They were well drilled and they could certainly do set pieces. I though when I came to ICT I was going to be entertained by exciting football. I gave it my best shot, but after the mess of boxing day against ST. Mirren, I thought enough is enough. I am not ancient but I do feel the strain of travelling any distance. I recently had radical cancer surgery, so I am a little weak. I don't want any one feeling sorry for me, I only mention it to show I have no axe to grind. Sometimes it takes a person from outside to show what is going on. I am not a glory hunter, I would not be at home watching Man U or Real Madrid, although Barcelona seems apealing because of their amazing talent. If people try against the smaller teams as much as they do against the big ones then fine. I began to realise motivation was lacking after the great win last season that was followed by a defeat by Hamilton. ICT that day were diabolical. I though it was a one off untill I saw the ST Mirren debacle. Slag me off as much as you want. I feel the more perceptive of you will realise, I am not into this for a slanging match, but to show there are major problems that need to be addressed if they are not, you will go down.
