christ would be a great signing now if he got a cruciate injury perhaps it would only be a case of 3 day to recover But like many footballers, he's just not as good as his father. Christ, yeah he might restore some faith in the team. I heard he can move around the pitch in mysterious ways but doesn't deal with crosses well.3 points

Capped by Berti Vogts, which means it doesn't count. He came on as a sub against Hong Kong, in a team full of Scotland legends like Gareth Williams, Robbie Stockdale, Lee Wilkie, Steven Thompson and Scott Dobie.2 points

Having watched and also played with some of the lads that have been chucked i have to say im really suprised at some of the players who have been released and i think the club are playing a dangerous game but letting so many go.1 point

I don't want to seem as though I'm denigrating our youth players or those who work with them but the fact is that none of the youth players who have been released have gone on to have a career at anything like a level approaching the SPL. We have a very difficult job with youth players, we don't have a massive budget and we don't have a big population centre as a catchment area. When you compare the historic level of youth players in our team to how many we have now we're actually doing pretty well - Nick Ross, Graeme Shinnie and Shane Sutherland are all regulars in the first team, and Ross and Shinnie are representing Scotland at Under 21 level.1 point

Those as others have said were Proctor's Twitter quotes I think. I reckon if Hayes does go, it won't be to another Scottish club, it'll be down to the England. I also reckon that there's more chance of him staying than going to another SPL side.1 point

Let's put this to bed once and for all - The U19 league is a complete and utter waste of time! Our club should propose that the SPL or SFA scrap this league and re-introduce the RESERVE league where at least 6 players must be U21 (of which at least 3 are U19). It will save us money, give youth a REAL chance to learn from and play with better more experienced players and it will also give our fringe first ream players game time. Probably more important, it will stop these kids wasting their time and being given false hope that they will be full-time footballers earning a good living.1 point

The message going out to the world is that Scottish football is corrupt..........This must be put right. (I was going to say sorted but someone might take it the wrong way)1 point

Having been to more Forres games than ICT games this season I am going to claim the role as chief scout... There is a pair of 18/19 year old twins at Forres, Lee and Graham Fraser, who are way beyond HL standard, they used to be at County but upon leaving school and getting full time apprenticeships at a building firm they decided to play their football closer to their home. There was rumoured interest from Newcastle in one as well as definite interest from Aberdeen so its not just me who rates them. One is a centre forward, who made a complete mess of David Proctor in the NoS Cup Final and finished the season as Forres' top scorer with 17 goals despite his season being cut short in January by a broken knee cap, the other wants to be a centre half but has been playing as a full back for the Can Cans and been bloomin excellent. There are definitely unpolished gems to be unearthed in the HFL and it is a great breeding ground for youngsters. The difference in Graeme Shinnie following his Forres loan spell was quite phenomenal. Which begs the question why we don't farm out more youngsters? Surely a season in the HL is worth far more than a season playing U19s1 point

When will this all end? Please, soon. I am so sick of Rangers, rangers, money, etc etc. Scroungers, cheats, the lot of them. Whatever is the end result, no-one will be pleased - the Rangers fans, the SPL (real b.mmers who cannot make a decision), the SFL (make Rangers go to the 3rd Div- wow)(even I might go to Elgin if I was not able to go to support ICT on that date), if it was you or I who owed so much money (or even £100) to the tax man, would we be allowed to run up such a debt? Never. I have gone to Ibrox but dislike the atmosphere, intensely. This won't change, no matter the outcome. The loser is football, integrity, the lot. This whole scenario has long outlasted everyone's patience - please - .........1 point

One of the really really nice guys to play for ICT - always polite and so generous of his time to the fans, young and old. Many others could learn from him (current players included) on how to interact. Many thanks, David, for all the great times including the timely goals, (recorded on dvd for replay), the times you "took one for the team" and just for being a really genuine person. I'll miss you. Lets hope ICT find a real star to replace you - it will be difficult. Best of luck David - you deserve it.1 point

Got to love the way it's "banter" when one of the CTO clique has a personal attack on a fellow poster here but were it to be the other way around I have the feeling warnings would be getting dished out .1 point

What "miscommunication"? the lad's been released. it happens at every football club in the land without hand wringing knicker wetters like you bleating on about misery. Get a life.1 point

Ryan Wallace at East Fife looks good. Scored over 20 goals this season and Caley do seem to have a knack for getting the best out of lower league strikers.1 point

It's nonsense to describe him as 'beyond the SPL in terms of quality' at this point. He has potential but nothing more at this point and would hardly register as a leading CB in a survey of all fans who watch the top league. Appreciate our game is not the best but Roman certainly didn't look like he was playing at a level beneath him at any point this season. If anything, at times, the converse was true. Wish him well for the future and thank him for his efforts. He can say thanks to us for his wages and the opportunity to play at a much higher level than he has ever played previously!1 point

And why the feck are we digging up a month old story from the Sun....................especially considering the very first paragraph is totally inacurate. DOUGAL THE MERGER HAPPENED.......ITS DONE AND DUSTED........WE CANT GO BACK.......FOR CHRIST SAKE GET OVER IT OR JUST P*** OFF1 point

Fer fecks sake - it is the last game of the season. What you do is play one of them, preferably a forward or a wide player from the start, put three others on the bench, judge how the game is going and if you can - blood all three, irrespective of fer how long. SIMPLES - even Donview sussed it !!1 point

With regard to the post from 'giveme a ccccc' in relation to HL players I made such a suggestion at a Supporters Trust Q&A session a few years ago (using Richie Hart as an example) and I was practically laughed out of the building by the panel. I still believe that an odd useful player could be picked up from HL teams.1 point

Totally agree with you IHE, but the standard of coaching is vitally important at the U13 stage up, not just the U19's where I think the club feels these youngsters should be the finished article - far from it. State of the Art facilities doesn't make a player, good quailty coaching, discipline and desire does. Personally I think the SPL youth programme is too widespread ie too many age groups which means too many bit part players who will never progress to the next level. The club could coach as many players as they see fit but I would have a go at having only 2 nationally competing groups, U15 & U18. The U15 group would be filled with QUALITY 13, 14 & u15 players and the U18's with 16,17 & u18's but the important factor would be having at least 4 well qualified coaches who are paid decent part-time wages to reflect their qualifications and experience. If you run 5 or 6 teams as we do, you just cannot get enough quality coaches. I could probably bore you with my opinion all night but this club either doesn't have or just doesn't invest enough into this area - it has always been the same, no matter what spin is put on it.1 point

The Greig lad in the youth squad could be good, the boy is lightening fast and if hayes does goto the granite city i doubt we'd have to look to far to replace him. hopefully morrison will get some good game time in Iceland and be ready for 1st team football in the new season, a decent holding CM player who might be able to pick up the slack if Foran needs to be rotated.1 point
