  3. As promised I have now purchased two ST's online for main stand. By my reckoning and based on ticketing web we have sold 2338 of the available 4086 season tickets. Hopefully now that the vote has been cast a few more will make purchases

  4. Don't be shocked if they don't have the new kit for that game. I'm sure at Clach a few seasons ago they had the old shirt with a sticker or something over the sponser (when we switched from Flybe to Orion)

  5. The story of the Scottish billy goats gruff One day some billygoats called SPL chairmen trotted over a bridge on their way to Hamden when an unpopular troll emerged and demanded that a newco Rangers joined them in the SPL. The billygoats informed the troll that they were too powerfull to allow this to happen as they had full backing from their fans and that some 1st division chairmen billygoats were due to come along shortly and they might be more of a pushover. So the unpopular troll straightened up his glasses and hid behind a tree. Some time later the 1st division billygoat chairmen trotted over the bridge, out jumped the troll and shouted 'Im an unpopular troll and I demand that you accept a new Rangers into the 1st division' One chairman said 'Are you the unpopular troll who wanted to change the SPL from 12 teams to 10 which would make it even harder for any of us to join the SPL and now you want us to take Rangers in too' the troll said 'yes Im the troll that came up with that brilliant idea.' Another Billy goat chairman said we are far too angry to allow that to happen, some 3rd division billy goat chairman are coming shortly they might be scared of trolls why dont you pester them' so the troll hid under the bridge and waited. The 3rd division billygoat chairmen arrived, the troll jumped out and shouted 'are you scared of an SPL troll' yes we are was the reply, 'Are you scared of Rangers being very angry at having to play football in the 3rd division and its all your fault', The Peterheid chairman billygoat piped up 'Its Rangers fault and not ours that this has happened, the Rangers fans are our friends now and they want to come and play with us in this division' The troll shouted 'I wont ever let Rangers join division 3 and theres nothing you can do about it' just as he said that 50,000 billygoats from govan appeared and threw the unpopular troll from the bridge into the river, never to be seen again. Scottish football lived happily ever after.

  7. Cringeworthy stuff, a taxi driver loses a few runs and a bar loses a few quid. I'm confused as to how the curry house guy in Dingwall can say his profits will drop considering County have never been in the same league as Rangers anyway! Oh and CC just for you...

  9. I've not been followin this as closely as others but a couple of questions regarding the leaks that have happened over the last two days 1 - Apparently 6-8 clubs risk going bust immediately if sevco are admitted to the Third Division - are we one of these clubs? From a limited knowledge of our finances I don't think that's the case, we don't have any bank debt that could be immediately called in and, as discussed in detail elsewhere on this forum, don't have expensive long term contracts to fulfill. 2 - What have Sky and ESPN actually said about the TV deal? Have they said that it will be cancelled entirely if there isn't the prospect of a Rangers in the SPL in the next couple of years? I find that hard to believe - obviously Rangers are a big viewing draw to Sky/ESPN but so are Celtic, who would still be part of the deal. Is this £16m/season loss projected, how would that be split among the clubs - the vast majority of the TV deal money goes to the Old Firm, has anyone shown the SPL chairman an actual calculation of the loss that each club would face? Surely given the structure of the current deal Celtic would lose the most with sides who are shown less often being hit lower in absolute terms. I'm not convinced that Sky/ESPN would pull out completely - Sky have four 24 hour sports channels to fill and ESPN don't have a crammed schedule. What is happening now is the chickens of the SPL coming home to roost. The mentality of the Scottish game has, for a long time, been that we need the Old Firm to survive. That's why we have created a league where 80%+ of the revenue goes to two teams, who also hold a permanent veto over the other clubs on any changes. That has created this situation, two clubs have effectively had a veto over any reforms. It's no wonder that the SPL have allowed a member club to engage in corruption and rule breaking for a decade. The likes of Neil Doncaster are stuck in this mindset, one that has reduced the quality of Scottish football and pushed the game to this point. Fourteen years of the SPL and now apparently up to two thirds of the clubs in it are on the verge of bankruptcy! Some achievement.

  10. Dear Mr Cameron, As I'm sure you are aware, with the impending liquidation of Rangers FC not too far away and the highly likely prospect that you and the other chairman of the remaining SPL clubs will vote on the matter as to whether to allow a "NewCo Rangers" to join the SPL. As you know, the fans are almost completely of the opinion that a NewCo Rangers, should they be allowed to join the league system, should start at the bottom of the ladder in the Third Division, just as the newly formed Caledonian Thistle FC had to do back in 1994. Mr Cameron, vote for the wishes of the fans. Vote for dignity. Vote for justice. Vote against an organisation that has exploited sectarianism and bigotry for it's own gain. Vote against a NewCO of a club that has stolen millions to buy itself success. Vote for you to be seen as a man and ICT as a club, who said NO. Mr Cameron, vote NO to NewCo. Yours sincerely, Renegade ICT Season Ticket Holder

  11. Surely it could be argued that every SFL club has a vested interest? In fact, of all teams then Dundee (assuming they are the ones going up) have the least interest in the vote!!! I know it's SFL v SPL, but strange that Dundee would be deemed to have a vested interest, but Rangers (Old Co) didn't and had a vote on whether or not to submit their successors.

  12. Doncaster is not the only one who doesn't get it. In his statement, Green said he was disappointed that their application to "rejoin" the SPL had been rejected. Rangers Newco have never been in the SPL (or any other for that matter) and therefore it was simply not possible to rejoin. His statement should have said that he was disappointed the SPL chairmen had put footballing integrity first and had rejected his club's application to join a league they have absolutely no right to be a part of. Mr Green, I'm available to write your press statements if you wish - and seeing as its you, I'll waive my usual fee.

  13. It would be rather satisfying if Doncaster's employment contract had a clause allowing the SPL to terminate it if Rangers weren't in the SPL.

  14. As I understand it the vote was "private". I hope (but doubt) that remains the case. What's important is that a decision has been made and we can now move forward. I also hope that the decision has been made without any condition of "threats" on the SFL who should be free to do as they now see fit in regards to any application they might receive.

  15. The only person who said they vote might be delayed is Doncaster. The guy is a liar and continues to push his scare stories to try and force people to see his way! The time has come for change, and this clown losing his job needs to be high up the list!

  16. I was about to post that Clyde statement. The SPL is saying 'vote the way we want or we will breach a valid contract'. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. One point made in the statement is that you have to wonder how UEFA are looking at this - there could be sanctions against Scottish clubs in Europe or the national side because of what is going on.

  18. With the first pre-season game this Saturday, presumably the shirt will be announced sometime this week. In saying that though, ICT are usually pretty late in announcing it and Errea seem to have a habit of being a bit slack. Remember that time the black away kits never turned up until about October!?

  20. Scottish football is as corrupt as Italian football now, at least the Italians look like they try to do something about it. In this country we bend over backwards to ensure the cheats, and thats what they are, ensure the cheats prosper! Also as someone above says, Who exactally is this bad news for??? As far as i'm aware the tv deal is £80m over 4 years and the old firm get 85% of that. Even if its reduced to £15m over 4 years but is split equally, every club bar the old firm will actually be BETTER off!! Get them in division 3 now or this fan will be lost to football in Scotland for good
