Forecast for Easter Road tomorrow is that a hurricane will be blowing in from the North. It will be raining goals and Hearts won't have the foggiest what to do about it5 points

Got to feel for young Philip Roberts. Although I don't think anybody should be to 'blame' either him or Butcher for the miss. We're a fickle bunch - often with short memories. It should be remembered that he stepped up last -and scored- in the penalty shoot-out win over Stenhousemuir to effectively put Inverness through. There might not have been the game today had he not shown the bottle on that occasion!4 points

Poor choice for final pen, too much pressure on young shoulders. Lost it before then as we didn't do enough in normal time & missed a sitter in extra time. Only positive is I won't have to fork out $$$ coming home.3 points

Time for realism to set in. Qtr final of scottish cup or maybe semi & 6th in the league will be a success2 points

Do you not realise how damn lucky you are to have what you have? Getting back from Aberdeen to play SPL football in Inverness was yet another example of the brinkmanship upon which ICT has serially developed over the last 20 years! Consider the following highly marginal and indeed at the time improbable situations. * 1993 - vacancies arising in the SFL in the first place. That was VERY marginal! * 1993-94 - after winning the vote, the club existing at all. * 1995-96 - getting a stadium up and running. * 1999-2000 - surviving a £2M+ debt crisis which almost had the receivers in. * 2003-04 - winning the First Division title. * 2004 - overcoming SPL red tape and actually getting into the top league. * 2004-05 - getting the north and south stands funded and built in 47 days to bring SPL football to Inverness. * 2009-10 - after being relegated (which was brinkmanship in the other direction by a single goal), winning the First Division from a position which looked totally impossible. So if ICT are 3-0 down at Easter Road tomorrow with 15 mins to go.... don't panic Captain Mainwaring!!! But take any ONE of these EIGHT marginal situations out of the equation, and there would be no semi final tomorrow nor a second (nor indeed any) place in the SPL.2 points

Why oh why did we resorted to the long ball today when Hearts went down to ten men? Absalutely ridiculous! The team have been playing so well this seasom by playing fast flowing football and when the opposition go down to 10 men, all the more reason to keep it on the deck and pass it about.1 point

Thought after the 10th foul since been booked Ngoo should walk. Not sure how many fouls someone has to make before it becomes persistent fouling.. Anyone else's heart sink when referee went for pocket after mckay brought down webster only to find out was for the sub. Sorry to be a downer on are team selection policy but think its absolutely disgraceful roberts gets on ahead of nick ross.. As well as the penalty miss roberts also overstretched to header a ball that was falling perfectly for andy shinnie at the back post in final minute of extra time much to shinnies disgust and mine. Anyway still are greatest season and it was only the diddy cup anyway..1 point

Its usually the players that decide spot kicks and having a forward who is there to score as one of the takers is not that surprising. Robertswas not brought on to take a penalty but for young legs against tired to win in extra-time. If Foran or Doran had missed a penalty, fans would have been asking why someone so tired was allowed to stay on, instead of fresh legs getting a chance to win it in open play. . What was the difference was Hearts bringing in a couple of ringers in multi-million pound players from Liverpool. And all those thousands in wages from a club that asked fans to raise over a million, whilst not paying their own staff. That stinks.1 point

There's a rule that says if one team has a player sent off the other team has to choose one who's out for the penalty shoot-out. The reason is without this rule that in case of a tie after 10 rounds the team with the dismissal could send someone who has scored before while the other team has to send its probably weakest penalty taker which would be an unfair advantage in the eyes of the FIFA rule comittee. I guess it applies as well if a team is reduced to 10 men through injury. The keeper can't be chosen as he automatically takes part when the other team tries.1 point

i was surprised by that aswell but then who else would you put in there? lots of young shoulders out there today. i wouldve taken a punt on subbing esson on for antonio, im sure we had one sub left1 point

That will be the same wikipedia which today's Courier Shennachie column reveals as recording that Chuck Norris and Rob Schnieder have claimed that Billy McKay "is a possible resurrected version of the Lord Jesus Christ"? As Caley D says, plans (ie bits of paper) may have existed since the 90s but no more than that. Just think of the absurdity of a West Stand. Here we have a club which - a) Is working wonders on the field with a team which has been put together within the constraints of a severely limited player budget, and b) Doesn't fill its current 7700 capacity, even for Celtic and County games and normally operates at around half that capacity. Does that really sound like the kind of scenario where investing millions on a redundant fourth stand is a sensible prospect? Yes, I know that a fourth side to the Caledonian Stadium would give a more intimate atmosphere and act as a windbreak. But this notion of a West Stand is Inverness football's second most persistent myth after the one which states that m****r protesters are staying away in droves. Or maybe they should build the thing, call it The Refusenik Stand, The Rose Street Stand or The Rod The Mod Enslosure and it would instantly fill to the brim with an entirely new clentele! Another persistant myth that has been around Inverness for years, is that there is a "reputable" sports journalist who works for the BBC and writes for the Highland News Just a myth though.....1 point

HeartsTV will be carrying the game live tomorrow for those outside UK & Ireland....although you will need to sign up for a monthly subscription (make sure you are outside UK and sign up for international subscription, which you can cancel at any time). Unfortunately, due to license restrictions, it was not financially or logistically viable for ICT to offer this service.1 point

Good luck to everyone setting out on their wintery journeys this morning (and to those who might already be en route). If I can make it out of my street I should hopefully be past the worst of it, so I'm just heading out shortly with a shovel. Spare a thought for Mantis, who was present in the earlier rounds but has had to call off after needing an eye operation this week. I think he looks something like this at the moment: He'll hopefully look more like this for the final:1 point

is there any call to improve hospitality facilities at the stadium? both corners of the main stand would be ideal for this and id guess youd have a far greater chance of a return, would be able to offer a better product too with a better home or away only option. bolton have hospitality facilities in the corners1 point

The Four In Hand will be welcoming the Travel Club buses, and I believe children are permitted in this establishment. It may be a case of designated children/family areas inside the bar, but I personally dont know. I've never been. This bar is situated just a short distance from the Stadium on Easter Road. Anyone travelling on the 9am buses from the stadium are advised to make their way back to the Four In Hand post match, as Lothian and Borders Police will close the roads around the stadium for 40 minutes after the game. I am hoping these buses will collect from here1 point

Here's one of those "paper plans" from about 2000 ...... it got as far as hanging on the wall in John Sutherland's office. Plan on the office wall looking from away end to home end showing possible low level home end and west stand profile Main stand and low level west stand Main stand, low level west stand and a new north stand North Stand from the away end View from the bridge of North and West stands looking from Main stand to low level west stand View from car park near North stand1 point

With McKay being the spl top scorer you would expect his value to be pretty healthy considering that hooper has been subject to offers of over £5m and he is 3 goals behind. But in the SPL it doesnt matter how good you are or how many goals you score, its all about the team you play for. If McKay was at Celtic he would he worth in the millions. At hearts, hibs, aberdeen perhaps750k-£1m. Dundee utd, killie, motherwell perhaps 500k-750k but at inverness i would expect clubs to bid about 3-400k for him. In my opinion ICT have never got value for money for the players they have sold as clubs do not want to pay the big bucks for players they still believe are from a small club1 point

I'm sure we could get a bit more then £800 for him . You've got to remember DC that the old 'Pimple' still thinks in pounds shillings and pence and you also have to factor in inflation from 1948 onwards...........now that should just about round it up!1 point
