Not a red card for me. Few folk mention this fictitious "last man" rule. There was no way it could be classed as a clear goal scoring opportunity.2 points

The ball was not fully under control - it was bobbling along on a sh*te pitch. He was running diagonally across goal whereas Meekings (I think) was running directly towards goal and would have cut him off or at the very least put strong pressure on him. To top it off, he was fecking 35-40 yards from goal! As someone else mentioned, can people please get it into their head that there is no such rule as last man - completely irrelevant. Clear goalscoring opportunity means exactly that, a CLEAR opportunity to score. It is meant to be for situations where you would expect the player to score not for situations where you have to speculate on what would happen. It was never a clear goal scoring opportunity and 9 times out of 10 would have been a yellow card and we, and the St Johnstone fans, would not even be discussing the incident. Vine did the instant strong appeal in the ref's face which I think swayed him but you could see from Vine's expression afterwards that he didn't really expect a red. Ref's are meant to be 100% sure with a red card. Twenty seconds of discussion with the linesman/4th official and I'm sure they could have come to the general consensus that the chance of scoring from that position was very low.1 point

I know, I'm an idiot! Sounds promising by that report though, a pacey wing back. I was wondering what side he was, but going by some of the photos he's wearing 11 so presumably he'll be down the left. Might mean as well that Taylor won't be back next season.1 point

Three cup finals ahead. We were in the box seat but are now in danger of blowing it. Makeshift back four or not we need to show full commitment for the final three matches. Having taken no points from our first two post split fixtures we need at least seven from the final three. That commitment doesn't just need to from from the players but from the "twelfth man" in the stands especially as two of the games are at home and the third on our doorstep.1 point

Thanks for the advertising Mr Huisdean Top-Six was achieved, that's history now. We have to move on but we appear to be standing still. Four games against a rubbish St Johnstone and we have failed to beat them. I feel we have not done enough against them, content to keep what we have. Today was slightly different given the ordering off, but same old same old I#m afraid and I saw nothing to give me confidence to think we can go from here and get over the finishing line, a line we should have crossed already. I'm no a happy bunny because I could see this coming and unfortunately it is happening now and I can do nothing about it, neither can Butcher it seems.1 point

The referee's have been shocking for all teams all season mate, the standard has been so poor yet we get nothing but silence from the governing body, feckin sad.1 point

After the red card it was a case of slow the game down and defend like buggery. W were one lapse away from claiming what would have been an immense point considering we were a man down for 88 minutes. It was a huge effort regardless, and I'm surprised people are being critical of the team.1 point

What you need is a bit of George Michael - both in respect of faith and a rogering in a dodgy lavatory.1 point

Half time and you got to be happy with 0-0. The longer they go without scoring the more fustrated they get and hopefully someone like Tade will explode wih rage and get himeself sent off. Then we nick a goal in the 93rd min and everyone goes home . Think positive guys. Think positive!1 point

To say the opening 35mins were a little dodgy is the understatement of the season. However we really seem to have got to grips with the situation in those last 10mins of the half. We're winning possession much higher up the park and more importantly keeping it. It almost seems as though we've tired them out a la the old rope-a-dope.1 point

It was where the current Currys electrical Store is now. The Co-Op is roughly where the old Frozen Foods shop was. To anyone who hasnt been in Inverness in the past 25-30 yrs, the whole top end of telford street would be pretty much unrecognisable1 point

If nobody minds (and even if some do) I thought I'd plug my article for The Terrace looking individually at each player's performances this season. I'm sure there will be differences of opinion - I look forward to them! Should have signed him up when he was saying he was wanting a new deal before Christmas. Oh well...1 point

I don't. I'm a Scotland supporter first and foremost. I was always a little embarrased by cries for A.Shinnie to get called-up. It just shows how far we've fallen if he's the successor to Collins/McStay, McAllister/Strachan, Souness/Wark or Bremner/Lorimer. He's a decent player but no world-beater. Perhaps we just haven't got them anymore :(1 point

Would start him against St. Johnstone but only just and if he shows the same lack of effort and commitment as he did against Celtic then that should be his last game for the club. Watching him on tv against Celtic he made no effort to close anyone down or chase back and when he lost the ball he would just stop dead and stand there and let the opposition player run past him with no effort to try and win it back or put in a tackle.1 point

Initially I was disappointed to hear the news that he'll be away come season end. But on reflection, I'm not too fussed. When he arrived he was useless. It took a long time to settle in. At the start of the season he was our main man. Excellent all-round footballer and it was probably our best player. Definately deserving of his cap. Since that cap for Scotland he's not performed as well as he can, and I have to agree with Renegade that he's not shown 100% commitment since the rumours started about Birmingham. Although I still think he's best placed to start ahead of Ross and Pepper, I'd like to see either of these replace him sooner rather than later if he under-performs again this weekend1 point
