Accounts posted for the financial year to the end of May show that we are back in profit for the first time in seven years. Turnover is up, now in excess of £3,700,000 and costs are down. Well done to all at the TCS for pulling of the difficult juggling act of bringing continuing success on the pitch whilst maintaining financial prudence off it. Just think what we could achieve if an additional thousand or so apathetic Invernessians could be persuaded away from the delights of Eastgate and the Retail Park for a couple of hours once a fortnight.
  2. Global Energy Stadium = No Energy Stadium! What a joke County are - and an embarrassment to the Highlands. Scratch the surface and they are just a Highland League outfit with ideas above their station. Meantime the stage was set for another fine three points for ICT. Atmosphere was good. County started with all guns blazing (plastic ones, not real ones) but soon ran out of steam as the superior big city club started to take control of the game. Then they switched on the microwaves for the half time pies and the lights went out......................... Will get them next time!!
  3. this seems oddly appropriate now !!!!
  4. seems a bit strange that he would say it was an external source to blame coming out of the stadium you couldnt help but notice houses etc in the vicinity still hsd their lights on. seems like spin of the highest order
  5. Dear Santa, Please may I have some new floodlights (and a keeper) (and a left back) (and a new coat) love Derek x x
  6. Well that was an excellent workout, interesting performance too from ICT, all that lacked though was finishing we really have to sharpen up on that. Doran used the narrow pitch much better than a lot of us anticipated just his final ball across was not up to his usual standard. Watkins worked hard throughout and is almost certain to become a regular starter. Graham played as a strong right back, just not as good a supplier as Raven but at least we know Graham can fill that spot satisfactorily when required. Tremarco and the rest of the defence were also sound as was the midfield to a slightly lesser extent . Oor billy didn't manage to get enough space, he was hemmed in most of the time and never really managed to make his usual impact. Ross, good running into threatening positions but hasn't really found his scoring touch yet. Foran was Foran worked hard but broke down a few of our best moves as usual unfortunately. Still he makes up for it in other ways most of the time. Pity about the lights going out as I do believe we would have got the goals in the second half. At least it saved my forecast from going completely up the spout. What happens about the yellow cards??
  7. Thought Tremarco looked the part and it was teeing up to be a good game until the leccy ran oot!
  8. maybe he spent the budget on getting the playing surface up to scratch but lef no spare coopers to keep the leccy running

Whilst managing to turn a profit is fairly remarkable in itself, you also have to look at the balance sheet which has improved by near £300k. That's the truest indication of the clubs improved financial position. Taking everything together, what we see is that not only is the club operating within it's means on a day to day basis, it's still attracting capital investment. We've been told before that the boards aim after our relegation season was to get the club back to a position where it had £1 Million in the bank, and the accounts show that the plan is working and things are headed in the right direction. That's two years running now where I'll have nothing to moan about at the AGM....I'm no happy!!!

Cant believe I'm gonna miss this game. Bought tickets months ago to see the Feeling in Shepard's Bush, does anyone remember them? I have Sky Go on my iPhone but they don't let you access BT Sports, does anyone know how I can stream a live feed to my phone while watching a thorougly pish gig? Thanking you in advance

Great news, and quite a turnaround. Some quotes and more details in this article. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24668313 However, a word of caution. It took a 4th place league finish AND making it to a cup semi-final AND getting a substantial "solidarity payment" windfall from Celtic's Champions League success AND 3 home derbies in order for us to make a mere £22,000 profit. If we are relying on those 4 things happening every year just to break even then we have to expect financial losses to return. But hopefully not this season, at least.

I see the fellow on the ICT Podcast reckons like me, that Dingwall is too narrow for wingers and Toby up-top is the way to go. He's absolutely right. Players like Doran and particularly Greenhalgh need space to be effective during open play and with such a narrow field and County attempting every inch of space going, playing two wingers either side simply will not work. It's not rocket science! It's been reported time and again that County's defence have a hard time against pace and height. The way to go is with three strikers and pinning them back. Playing like that, breaking through and dominating them from the start could well and truly see the County floodgates open.
  17. We've sold between 25 and 35,000 tickets.

Great to have local lads in the team but only if they are better or at least as good as the alternatives. Maybe not quite yet.

Devine is defo not our "worst" player. We don't have a best or worst player, we play as a team and play for each other.
