  1. I `think one of the worst shouts in football is "who would replace him" nobody is irreplaceable and you don't stick with a dud because you think there is nobody to replace him

  2. Of course, how could a club of our size and resources ever think of going away to Celtic and winning or even securing a draw. Impossible even to contemplate and it must be down to Yogi's tactical astuteness that we kept the score to a very respectable six.

  3. Does anyone actually think we should be going away to celtic and winning? Now 6-0 is obviously terrible but with injuries I don't think we could have played for a draw. Naive yes but losing 6-0 while attempting to play a bit is no worse than losing 2 or 3-0 by parking the bus. Can we afford to sack a manager and who would actually want the job where the fans might turn on him in a matter of weeks?

  5. The phrase "by George" is a mild oath or exclamation that dates back to the early 1600's. Posts "by George" are by a childish oaf who needs extermination and dates back to the early 2014's,

  6. Did you not hear his interview he had a good game plan....he makes Brewster look like a tactical genius

  7. I read a good tweet at full time which mentioned the 2-2 draw six months ago feeling like a defeat. Quite incredible that result was with the same squad.

  8. I replied to this on the 'matchday thread' in reply to Kingsmill's initial observation. Very poor and makes us look quite amateurish. It would appear that the released players are out of the equation and have played their last games for Inverness. I know only 3 subs can be played during a game, but he (Hughes) at least give himself options - or at least give the youngsters the opportunity to sample the match-day experience. It seems he's only picked a squad of players that he feels he could play any part at all in the game - which is worrying. Basically, Hughes has effectively shown that, of the available players he had today, he only rates 15 players as capable of wearing the shirt. That's surely the only logical conclusion to take.

  13. Just thought I'd bump this in preparation for this evening. That's a record home defeat and at least equalling our worst ever defeat full stop - with probably our best ever squad. How can anyone have faith that this guy is the right man for the job?

  14. Hughes stated in pre match interview he would not be taking in any new players in the summer, as he is satisfied with his bunch of lads. If that is the case he better find himself another job quickly.

  16. Thank feck fer Chorley. BUT if we get 9 points from the last three games then we will be on 62 points. If Motherwell draw against St Johnstone and lose their other two games they will be on 62 games and will have a lesser goal difference. If Aberdeen and Cellic win all their games - we can do it. Now a point today and we are feckin laffin.

  17. I totally agree, Kingsmills. It's actually a little embarrassing, particularly at Parkhead. It's the sort of thing you'd occasionally see in an amateur game when a team can't fill the bench due to work commitments! It seems that fraser's post today (on the 'Contract Situation' thread) is correct, regarding the club releasing Matt Cooper, Conor Pepper and Adam Evans. Any, or all 3 of them would surely, otherwise, have been on the bench. I'm always correct

  18. As I have just posted on Twitter.... The Rangers FC have spent more in the last 2 seasons than ICTFC have in 20 seasons....including the cost of our stadium.

  19. Ideally I'd like to see the decision on the strip being taken democratically by fans. An official supporters club (something akin to the SSC) would be good.

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
