  1. Maybe we have a contingency plan ?
  2. so we miss another chance and i mean to play against 10 men for 85 and not win is a shocker and i don't understand why the players were getting involved when it wasnt needed
  3. With the style Yogi uses I prefer to think of everyone of our squad as footballers - in the total football game when we have the ball everyone is an attacker and when we don't have the ball everyone is a defender. I like to think that with the way our club is coached everyone in our squad is capable of contributing to degfence and attack and will be comfortable on the ball in any part of the pitch.
  4. Rearranged Fixture : Our SPFL Premiership match AWAY to Dundee Utd has been scheduled for Tuesday 24th Feb with a 7:45 kick off.
  5. In the post match interview Yogi was saying that all the decisions were going Utd's way as if the ref felt he needed to even things up. It certainly didn't sound that way on the radio and one gets the impression that we were lucky to end up with more than 8 players on the park. But even if there was serious provocation the level of indiscipline is inexcusable. Being one goal and one man up for 85 mins we should have been disciplined and focussed on possession and keeping the ball in the opposition half. We should have won the game comfortably. Not only has the indiscipline resulted in the gap being 6 points rather than 10, Warren will now be suspended and others are building up disciplinary points which could well be costly later on given the threadbare squad we have. It will be interesting to hear the views of those at the game.
  6. Very well said that man ... But is anyone listening??
  7. I think it is to strong to say that our euro chances are going down the pan but two games where we didn't take advantage is a worry especially seeing as this has been coming for a little while against St Mirren and Partick. Its hard to say whether the point is better for us or them. On one hand we would have taken a point and they still have it all to do to catch us. But with the match situation its a great point for them and and may just give them a little kick start so very disappointed but we should just take each game as it comes. Lets forget Europe for now and get back on track against Motherwell and keep going.
  8. sorry but in my opinion shocking second half performance!!! Why in second half did Hughes not change it when we had so many defenders with yellows and ended up paying the penalty yet again. Yet again another two points dropped last two games. Raven should have been off too!!!!! We will never get into Europe with performances like this, maybe the Board do not want European footie as will cost them as folk in Inverness just do not turn out but Caley only have themselves to blame We NEVER kill off teams when opportunity arises, others even do it Yes we have had a great season so far but could have been so much better
  9. Disappointing, to say the least, to surrender the lead for the fourth time in two matches, this time against a team out of form, low in confidence and down to ten men for almost the entire match. Sounds from the commentary that we had enough chances to win comfortably but suffered from not having a natural striker. It's difficult to be too critical after the season we've had but we are seeing the consequences of being the only club in the league without a single experienced striker and the folly of not having a viable contingency plan for replacing Billy McKay. If we do fall short of an historical European qualification it will be down to having no plan in place to deal with something that was pretty well inevitable. Maybe it's not too late and there is an unattached forward to we can bring in. Marley is working hard and doing sterling work but goal scoring is not his forte.
  10. Mmm. A valuable point, but at what cost? Warren suspended for a couple and Watkins will miss one too for disciplinary points (I.e. No recognised striker!) Sounds like we were mince in second half. Not so good! And why were Raven and Warren not subbed to avoid exactly that!
  11. Feck sake not ruthless enough , need that killer instinct from somewhere. Points dropped again from a commanding position.
  12. Plenty of chances in first half as usual, no one can take them and we get punished. Familiar script now..... get a striker
  13. Feck sake. The commentary team are really starting to get on my nerves.
  14. Raven now on eggshells, cant see him doing the 90 mins, time to send on Tremarco.
  15. Players need to calm down or we won't end the game with nine men
  16. ...and "Pride of the Highlands" flag sticker.

  18. 1 point
We'd probably have to go far in the tournament before that happened! The English Premier League is ranked at no.2 by UEFA so clubs from there enter much later than SPFL teams! I did read that if Celtic beat Inter Milan, then in 2016/17 we (Scottish clubs) will get 5 teams in Europe for the following season. Maybe wrong, the whole system appears shrouded in secrecy! But, as much as it sometimes pains me, I support every Scottish team in Europe. To do otherwise is simply betraying your own club's future opportunities!
  19. Why is Kink a free agent? Maybe not the answer but here's an old clip (his best game for Middlesborough) including a post-match critique of him by then manager Gordon Strachan ... A bit sensitive and didn't like the physicality in England. If that's the worst that can be said, I'm not worried and the SPL is most probably less physical than the English Championship. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3I-zNfQDbOw
  20. Usual couple of minutes onscreen again, but even worse was the one with the scary eyes did not give even a mention about our play in pundit time. Pat Nevin usually dissects the penalty claims but even from where I was it was a stonewaller, getting a wee bit tiresome this program as far as ICT are concerned. Might have to say something on Sportsound on Tuesday when we turn over Dundee Utd
  21. I don't know where the idea of an unentertaining game comes from. I was at the game with a 12 year old who had never been to a live game before with his mum who has been to very few games. They both went away really delighted with the standard of entertainment dished up and slightly disappointed that we did not win a game where we dominated possession. I though it was a highly entertaining game with both teams contributing to that and the referee also making a contribution (not positively), and I was also disappointed that we did not win. For those who only class as entertainment goals scored by ICT I suggest that they reconsider the meaning of entertainment. We can't win every game, much as I would like us to, and we have to accept that on occassion the opposition may add to the value of the game as a spectacle. Life would be boring if everything went the way we wanted it to go.
  22. Football is the great game it is because form fluctuates and sometimes the better team doesn't win. So on the day that Chelsea drew with Burnley at home and Dundee United lost to St J at home, we failed to win against Kilmarnock in a game many thought we'd win. We weren't at our best and they're on the up. We can't expect to win every game from now until May. This is a small setback that would be forgotten if we beat United and Motherwell this week, which would likely take us above Aberdeen into second. So, on form maybe we should have won this but on the day we didn't deserve to. Next!
  23. I like this. Playing 16 players should give us the edge in most games!
  24. Hamilton have now got just 2 points from their last 8 games and scored only 1 goal in their last 7. Today they only had one shot at goal in the entire match. With Dundee and St Johnstone both with games in hand I would be really surprised if they finished in the top 6. They played some really good football earlier in the year and it is a bit of a shame to see them fall apart like this.
  25. Had utd won as expected and we won as expected then it would have been status quo, as it is they lost a game many feel was winnable and we took 1 point thus are plus 1 from pre-match expectations. Still unbeaten in 2015, 3rd in the league, cup QF, still scoring goals even after losing our top striker. Why such negative posts?
  26. In the absence of McKay, reassuring we have others in the team that can score goals. Three different scorers ( one May have been an og) but shows the depth of talent in the squad. ICTFC are a Team.
  27. All our expectations are naturally high as a result of our great season. So disappointment at 'only drawing' with Kilmarnock is a natural first reaction. However don't forget Killie have been playing really well recently and have beaten other top six sides.. They may surprise one or two others before the end of the season. Even County who we also dropped points to seem to have found some form. So there is no such thing as an easy game and we will have to concentrate hard for the rest of the season to maintain 3rd place and have a chance of Europe. I'm still confident that we can do it, barring significant injuries. So lets do our bit and get behind the team without calling for players to be dropped if they have one poorish game. We are still unbeaten this year! Its in our hands. Believe!
  28. Unbeaten in 2015. Let's not lose that record on Tuesday night.
  29. Thanks for the feed back lads you confirm a lot of what I was 'reading' into the game from the excellent but rather biased Killie commentary. Esson imo never has commanded the box or organised the defence as well as Brill does, though far be it for me to blame him for losing us the lead in the way we did. It was interesting to note that we didn't really miss any glaring chances this time, which has to date kept our scoring rate down where it is. Strangely I am heartened from this result with the cup round coming up and the visit to Tannadice. It is a reminder to the team that we have got to be alert all the time at the back and keep scoring goals up front. We are still on the glory road but it is going to be a rocky one. I think that was what Latapy was inferring in his recent interview,a case of keep on your toes lads and don't slip back
