  1. I think we all have to careful here or we are going to get a reputation as whingers. We all know that if we progress to semi's the games are going to be televised and times are not going to suit us. What would we prefer, getting to latter rounds of cups or the team getting knocked out early to save us all the hassle of travel inconvenience. We all know T.V companies rule our game and have done for a long long time and things won't change because ICT are getting to SF and Finals. I will have to take 2 nightshifts off and find a kennels for our dogs but I would rather do that than think about losing a late goal at St Mirren and being knocked out in our first cup game.
  2. Based on the clubs budgets we are massive underdogs but compare us on tenacity and belief its a pretty even match. I know which club will fear losing the game especially against their bogey Scottish cup team, At I time of day that Celtic have frequently underperformed over the years. Enjoy the build up to a good day out.
  3. Go on DD ask them.....lol I've sent them an email asking the question. I'll let you know what they say.
  4. Overnighter (coach) booked from London (must not sit/sleep near toilet), arrives 7am in time for breakfast.....and flight back booked (thankfully) Next...match ticket!
  5. When are we going to get rid of these shower of b*****s running our game? Choosing Edinburgh as a 'neutral' venue for Hearts 2 years in a row. Now 2 Sunday midday kickoffs in a row for travelling northern fans. Whether it's incompetence, bias or spite, enough is enough.
  6. My money is on don't care...
  7. Sunday at 12.15 then by the sounds of it. Absolute erses, the lot of them. Oh aye, and Fraz you are right. LOL.
  8. Another merger thread imminent... Nothing to do with the merger but relates to insulting and disrespecting the history of the club and a fair number of it's supporters. You may observe, from user names if nothing else, that there are a number of regular users on this site who are Jaggies. As far as I can see, not a single one of whom has the ignorance or arrogance to refer to the club as Thistle.
  9. The final will be on the 30th of May, right? Yeah, that's right. Should be a good match. I think we'll beat Falkirk over the 90 minutes.

Shifty 6--SFA shiftless.' 'It;s all about money so there....."
  11. Maybe the TV companies should pay for all travel expenses and fund special trains and buses. After all it is their fault too.
  12. The SFA and TV companies, what a shower of effing disrespectful ignorant sh***-bags. Once again our fans are put at a disadvantage and extra cost. I doubt we will reach 2000 given all the hassle with travel arrangements.
  13. Go on DD ask them.....lol
  14. Doesn't particularly affect me, other than it's an earlier start than I'd like on a Sunday, but yet again the authorities have treated non central belt fans with disdain. What is particularly disappointing is that this is the second year running that we have had this debate, so it is clear that they are either not listening or don't care.

  16. Celtic are about to run out of puff, and let's face it, we have played pretty well all season with an occasional blip, playing good football and our new frontline of Ofere, Watkins and Christie will be a stern test for Celtic, with plenty of options like Williams, Doran and Ross, and a solidity about us defensively (just make sure the back passes are hit strongly!) I reckon Celtic will harbour some doubts about meeting us Hope the venue and date is sorted asap, only way I can get to this is if it's on a Sunday, might have to do an overnighter on a coach from London
  17. The one certainty is that Stokes will not feature.

One wonders if McNamara really means that nonsense. Maybe one of his players threatened to shove him in the back, elbow him in the neck and kick him in the head unless he said it. Comparing Ciftci with the likes of Zidane and Cantona is absurd for three reasons. Firstly he is not fit to even lick the boots of those two when it comes to the genius stakes, secondly the infamous episodes McNamara refers to happened when they lost the plot following provocation, and thirdly, Zidane and Cantona did not routinely cheat. Ciftci needs no provocation to behave like a thug. It is, however very interesting that McNamara has used the words C1C3 has highlighted above. Presumably that is an acknowledgement that doing something even more serious is very possible knowing the nature of the man. Instead of making limp excuses in trying to defend the indefensible, McNamara should be apologising for his player's behaviour and pointing out to Ciftci that truly great players like Pele and Law, for instance, never ever resorted to Ciftci's kind of antics. Ciftci doesn't behave the way he does because the behaviour is linked to genius, he behaves the way he does because he's a thug. The message Ciftci must be getting from his manager and the SFA is that there is nothing wrong with his behaviour. It makes you wonder just what he might do next - grab a match official by the throat perhaps?
