  1. What more do we need to say !! Well done to 'RedCard' for coming up with the idea and to those involved in putting the video together. Brought a tear to me eye ..... Personally I am gutted I cannot make it on Saturday but I will be with everyone all the way and through every single kick of the ball. Its not live on TV here but I have leveraged my IT knowledge and a few favours so I can watch it on my own big screen, or perhaps with a group of friends at a bar with even more humongous screens (if it works out). Wherever you are travelling from I wish you a safe journey there and back and hopefully we are all still smiling come 4:45 pm ! This week is going to fly by .......
  2. Just wondering what everyone is planning on wearing to the Cup Final. The reason I ask is, well, you know how embarrassing it can be - you turn up for an event and somebody else is wearing the same outfit. I'm planning on wearing jeans and an ICT top, accompanied by an ICT scarf. So if everyone else could avoid copying, that would be great, thanks.

Keeper and back four pick themselves (Esson, Raven, Meekings, Devine, Shinnie), as do Draper and Tansey in front of them and Ofere up front. Watkins will surely start too, but the question is if he will play up front in a 4-4-2 or wide in a 4-2-3-1. Seems to me that Christie, Williams, Ross, Doran and Vincent are fighting over the other two spots. Hard to leave Christie out, I think; I wouldn't be surprised if Falkirk sit back and try to soak up pressure, so we'll need him to unlock their defence. You could use that as a reason to pick Ross and Doran as well, but I reckon Williams will get the nod, as he will tuck in from the left to allow Shinnie to rampage, and cover him if necessary. So, for me, it's Esson - Raven, Meekings, Devine, Shinnie - Draper, Tansey - Watkins, Christie, Williams - Ofere. Subs: Mackay, Tremarco, Doran, Kink, Polworth, Ross, Vincent

Stevie Hislop will be joining us in The Montford
  5. Definitely ranks as one of the more satisfactory 5-0 defeats we'll ever experience.

The ICT players are not the only sportsmen bringing credit to Inverness. Inverness now has it's very own international boxing heavyweight champion. Gary Cornish beat Hungarian Zoltan Csala by a knockout in Glasgow on Saturday to claim the IBO heavyweight Championship. The belt itself is is a bit of an unregarded 'Mickey Mouse Trophy' but the opponent represented a step up in class for Gary who is now unbeaten in twenty one professional fights. He is beginning to appear on the radar of the big promoters and already has Kellie Malone in his promotion team. He is probably now just a fight or two away from fighting for the British Heavyweight title. It may not be beyond the realms of possibility that Inverness could have a Word Heavyweight champion in three years time.

The Northern Irish teams play the same type of season as us (expect no football on a Sunday!). A trip to Belfast to face Linfield or Glentoran (featuring Curtis Allen - booo!) would be good fun and might see us bring 500+ fans. Glenavon (Johnny Tuffey - booo!) are in the draw as well, but they're in County Armagh not far from the Republic border I believe. Glenavon are from Lurgan so 25mins down the motorway from Belfast. Any of the NI teams would be ideal as (a) home game for me, and; (b) the standard is utterly rancid. We'd comfortably win against all 3.
  9. I'm going in Scott Kellaghers Mankini. I hope the weather is nice.

I agree with the first bit of this and to me that is the most important thing. As long as we play with a high tempo and look to get forward quickly it doesn't really matter which two of Doran, Christie, Williams Ross and Vincent we have starting as we should be too good for Falkirk. But personally I think we should start with Christie as his outstanding performance against Celtic showed what he is capable of on the big stage. He also showed he can keep it up for 120 minutes so I would start with him and look to run their defence ragged from the word go. I would start with Williams with a view to bringing Doran on around the hour mark.
  11. great to see all the good wishes. Real good to see mr Paul Cherry again. One of my all time fave ICT players :)
  12. Was thinking the same actually. Someone was saying on here that Sutherland had been offered a new deal, but Baptie had been released, while there was no news on Ferguson yet. Strange that the one who had been offered a deal played but the other two weren't in the squad. Also, I heard yesterday that Devine is signing very soon while things are 'looking good' on the Ofere front.
  13. New stock came in on Saturday. Won't last long tho so be quick.
  14. Big advertisement in Glasgow for neutral tickets to the final - starting at £5 - so probably a lot of takers

We have a better squad than Falkirk. We should, like we did in the semi, attack from the off, grab the game by the scruff of the neck and show why we deserve to win the cup. I like the idea of going 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 and just go out and do it. For me - Esson Raven Devine Meekings Shinnie Ross Draper Tansey Williams Watkins Ofere Subs - Mackay, Doran, Christie, Tremarco, Polworth, Vincent, Kink Now I've left Christie on the bench. From what I gather the two central midfielders for Falkirk are fairly older and slow. For that reason, as the start to tire, I'd like to see Christie and maybe Doran as well unleashed in the second half.

This. But with Williams and Christie swapping wings. Has it been confirmed that Nick Ross is suspended? I agree. Options with Ross and Doran as subs. Other subs: MacKay, Tremarco, Polworth, Kink or Vincent and Ferguson. It's Mackay...small "k"
  17. Horseshoe Bar always a favourite of mine before departing from Central Station for Hampden games.
  18. Or....just chucking the idea out there....we party all through the night, head straight to the stadium where we sleep on the bus down ready to party more at Hampden before returning to Inverness and drinking the city dry.

I thought the only suspension we had was Warren after the yellow in the semi final?
  20. This was an absolutely top class performance from ICT - every player worked their socks off against a team of very experienced internationals, very wealthy opponents and a crowd pumped to the hilt for the party. Yogi got the team selection spot on. Celtic's mass huddle looked like it might have collapsed the stadium if it it had continued for much longer.
  21. Yogi got it spot on today with team selection. The score was irrelevant, as we concluded our league business a fortnight ago. Am glad that game is out the road, as we can now concentrate on the main event Bring it on.
  22. Yeah, was good seeing the young lads getting a run out. Good prospects for the future, and sometimes good being on the end of a thrashing. Make's you want to work hard and improve your game. And i think if you asked anyone mid week about the team. Yes the line up might of been different in regard to the players rested, but we knew it was going to happen. We've got the biggest game in the clubs history next weekend, dont think anyone would have wanted us to risk most of our key/main players today incase of suspensions or injuries. Look at how they were trying to bully ryan today. Yes was a disappointing result, but its not the end of our season and we've next weekend to look forward too :)
  23. If ever a 5-0 beating can be seen as a good result, this was it. The major objective in ensuring no red cards or serious injuries to cup final contenders would appear to have been achieved. I was proud of the way we tried to play football right to the end, and never resorted to 'hoof ball' despite all the pressure we were under. In fact some of the football we played out of defence up to the final third was first rate, a point even conceded by the biased Sky commentators. I'm sure Yogi will have no problem getting the lads spirits up back up to scratch for the biggest game of our history next week. Bring it on, can't wait!
  24. Fans knew that we would play a weakened side unless tbeyve been on Mars all week.
  25. I'm glad you're not the manager!
  26. Why are folk even bothers at who is playing and even the score tbh. Nothing game. Will be glad when over and onto the main event.
  27. Yogi also got awarded the Football Writers Manager of the Year award today
  28. This argument reminds me of these competitions in primary school latrines where people clamoured to see who had *****d furthest up a wall. I didn't bother then, certainly don't now. We'll have loads of people there shouting us on and if they have a good day that's literally all that matters. Crowd figures? whatever.
  29. I don't even care about the attendance on the day. If I'm there cheering on my team, am happy. Bring it on home #ICTFC
  30. As I point out every time this subject comes up. The club have never (to my recollection) issued advance ticket sales figures...be they good, bad or indifferent. People can agree or disagree with that policy, but it's clearly not one driven by the actual sales figure....whatever it be. FWIW, I'd do away with all publication of match attendance figures as it only serves to fuel the unhealthy obsession people have with them in this country. It must be the single most analysed "stat" in football....and it has least relevance to the actual game.
  31. Its hardly a big deal. Its going to be a great day out anyway so Im not looking for for things to moan about. Sales have been steady and now that we are down to our last section the moaning will start about not getting tickets and that's not a direct dig at you renegade
  32. You'd take Chalmers and McHugh over McDonald and Ainsworth. I know you don't attend many games, but jeez. From what I remember, McHugh hardly did anything in the Premiership for Motherwell, hence why he was released. So, you are allowed an opinion but I ain't!! Hows that?? To make it easier on you, from now on I won't post my opinion which is really unfair!!! Nobody said you weren't allowed an opinion. So how about you just dry your eyes, go put your big boy pants on and stop with the same old boring crap you come out with every time someone disagree's with you?
