Well after moaning and groaning over the past few weeks I renewed both my own and my father's tickets today. The promise from Ritchie that we will see more attacking football this forthcoming season coupled with the re-signing of the loyal David Raven helped me decide. The biggest factor though was in memory of my Dad who passed away this week. He was a true Caledonian FC fan and former groundsman at Telford Street. He took me along as a very small boy and I tagged along as he lined the pitch on match days with distemper, put the sawdust on the penalty spots and hung the nets. R.I.P. Dad, x
  2. I'm well chuffed with this appointment and must congratulate the board on having the courage to give Richie this chance. I'm also happy with the length of the contract. It points to a confidence flowing both ways between our manager and the board and hopefully will help to settle everything down so we can look forward to a prolonged period of stability - and more success. Also, I'm not concerned about Richie's perceived lack of experience. He's just completed a very decent playing career and proved himself to be a great leader on the pitch and in the dressing room, I've no doubt he can take that experience to the bench and be a very successful manager. If he can take that step up in the same way as Alex Neil has done I'll be more than delighted. Good luck Richie, I feel you have an unprecedented level of support from us all and we're looking forward to the next chapter in our short and exciting history with you at the helm.

I agree. I think he's a good coach. Some significant chinks in his armour as a manager though as Hibs have found out in the past when he fell out with Petrie and a lot of the players. Just like he did at Falkirk and just like he did at ICT. It's been mentioned before but Houston has already said that the Falkirk job is almost certainly his last gig in football. What about Latapy? Actually, why do we care? Diddy lower league outfit that they are...
  4. See, his potential is enough already to have the poachers sniffing around

Your loyalty to the previous manager does you credit....if only he had demonstrated a similar quality....
  6. Sat 16 July Cowdenbeath v ICT 15:00 Sat 23 July ICT v Dundee United 15:00 Tues 26 July Dunfermline v ICT 19:45 Sun 31 July ICT v Arbroath 15:00 No TV games for us. Shockingly, every Rangers game is on BT Sport.

I think I've renewed mine. I elected to pay by finance and I've received an email with the credit agreement attached but when I completed my order I think it's just charged me the £299.50 out right bypassing the fact that I wanted to pay by finance. Anyone any idea if I've cocked this up? Yes is the likely answer.... EDIT: Sent the club an email and got a phone call back just over 10 minutes later confirming that I hadn't cocked it up. Great customer service!
  8. Delighted actuellement. It's a harbinger or things to come, :- Fresh start with a down-to- earth grafter who does not appear to be obsessed with his own brilliance.Fans onside as well'. To sum up: Just wait until the team walks out onto the pitch in the first game here at Tulloch and you will then know the extent of the encouragement that the home fans are willing to give to Richie and the team. It'll be a blast..
  9. Oh! Kingsmills, now I am depressed again. But I love having the last word so...... "Word."
  10. More much memories to come with Richiie Foran's Sneck Army.....or should that be HMS Sneck navy ?

''From Real Madrid to Inverness Caledonian Thistle, these are Wales boss Chris Coleman's chosen few for Euro 2016''
  12. Delighted with Richie's appointment, time to get the season ticket and roll on the new season and a new chapter for us. Can't wait.
  13. I can't say this appointment was unexpected and I wish RF all the best of luck. He will have ups and downs just like all our previous managers and I just hope the usual critics give him a chance when things aren't going so well. Personally, I look forward to seeing what changes he makes and the type of player he signs. They say Ireland has a wealth of talent waiting to be developed so maybe he will look to his homeland to start his recruitment. Good luck!

Scarlet... many will share your sentiment which is laudable. However the history bit at the end is a bit off the beam since I think you may be getting your Stevensons/Stephensons a bit confused. The railway locomotive the Rocket was the creation of Robert Stephenson, who was from Northumberland so hence English, and the son of George Stephenson. Robert Stevenson on the other hand was Scottish and a lighthouse engineer responsible for, among others, the Bell Rock lighthouse off Arbroath. As for the quote which you say is from Stev(ph)enson, I have tried Googling it both in whole and in parts and the only results I get are where it has been quoted by yourself on three different occasions here on CTO!
  16. Hi there, First time I've posted on this forum so please be gentle with me. To give you my background as a Caley supporter I moved to the Inverness area in 1993 so had a new club to support (I used to watch West Ham occasionaly in my younger years but wouldn't consider myself a true supporter) with no baggage of the earlier Inverness footballing years but respect for all the history. I don't get to as many games as I would like due to work but I'm sure you know how that is, please don't think it makes me less of a Caley fan. So, to behonest I was pleased when John Hughes was appointed but like others on here became disillusioned by a lot of the style of play under him and saddened by the events which unfolded. But that is in the past and it's time to look forward so I just want to add my comments to those above and say good luck Richie, I believe in you and think you can do something good at Caley. I believe the fans will be happy to get behind you and the team and can't wait to see the new season under way although I have no illusions, it won't be easy. Good luck Richie and Caley!!
