  1. I'm absolutely buzzing for the new season.for the first time since Steve Paterson we've got a manager we all want.hopefully tcs will be a wee bit fuller backing a man that wants to be here and committed to the city.
  2. I was very impressed by Richie's interview on Fri night on STV . He came across as very passionate and keen to do well for everyone . It's the first interview in a while when I felt our manager is on our side .Well done Richie and Good Luck with your first season in charge and hope it's the first of many . Looking forward to good times ahead.
  3. As a happy man he may be at ICT until he retires . He does appear to love the Highlands and his family is also settled here. Since this is now about a local lad whose feet and future are firmly planted in Inverness, we should support him 100% , through thick and thin IMHO. End of story.

But at least some of their fans could have had the grace to accept that their club was in the wrong instead of mooning about how hard done by they were.
  5. All I can remember about Ayr is the smelly toilets and the Ship Inn.

Disappointing, but at the same time the fuss is quite predictable - given the rammy they created when they refused to retreat gracefully to the First Division in 2004. In years gone by, I used to have a degree of regard for Partick Thistle as Glasgow's biggest non-OF club. That all evaporated in 2004.
  7. Ayr away? Dave Bagan? Mark McCulloch, Barry Robson, dunno, Paul Cherry.

Partick managed fine the last few seasons without games against Rangers and Celtic. Disappointing for them to come out and basically say "We need the blue and green pound to survive."

It's sounding a bit like the central belt based media on here with attention focussed on matches involving the two big Glasgow clubs. Whatever happened to our entirely justified outrage that The Rangers should be in the Premiership at all following the failure of the authorities to deal appropriately with matters following the liquidation of Rangers? And whilst we have to realistic and accept that we can't change things and games with The Rangers will actually be in our financial interests, that does not mean we should forget what happened. We will not be playing Rangers this coming season - we will be playing "The Rangers".
  10. I reckon we'd do well to set up a link with a Dublin boys club or such. We've fast established a link with the city though signings such as Doran, Hayes, Foran, Rooney and now young Jake Mulraney and perhaps having a local link allowing us to scout the local talent would see young Dubliners with potential find their way into the pro game via Caley Thistle.

A more pertinent observation is that both this season and last, our competitive season kicks off on 16th July......but instead of the glamour of Astra in the Europa League, we have the glamour of Cowdenbeath at Central Park!
  12. I'm well chuffed with this appointment and must congratulate the board on having the courage to give Richie this chance. I'm also happy with the length of the contract. It points to a confidence flowing both ways between our manager and the board and hopefully will help to settle everything down so we can look forward to a prolonged period of stability - and more success. Also, I'm not concerned about Richie's perceived lack of experience. He's just completed a very decent playing career and proved himself to be a great leader on the pitch and in the dressing room, I've no doubt he can take that experience to the bench and be a very successful manager. If he can take that step up in the same way as Alex Neil has done I'll be more than delighted. Good luck Richie, I feel you have an unprecedented level of support from us all and we're looking forward to the next chapter in our short and exciting history with you at the helm.
  13. Delighted that a new manager has been appointed, and happy that foran is getting a chance. No one knows how it will work out but he certainly has a lot to offer and the prospect of attacking football is very pleasing. I have to say that in the last month or so the board have done a tremendous job keeping the club spirit going and saving it from what could have been a disaster. Hughes had to go when he spoke out as no one man is bigger than our club. The player contracts continued to be signed including Dave the rave! Suddenly from a lot of fans up in arms and pondering our poor season, yogi went and there has been a continual rise in expectations for the coming season and excitement is brewing. That's why I love football and supporting ICT.
