The County model is totally unsustainable for a club of their size. They're a slightly bigger Gretna.4 points

Somebody mentioned on another thread that it's been a terrible season for results going against us. It hasn't - in fact the opposite is the case, despite some bad ones in recent weeks. After 31 games, we are merely one point ahead of where Dundee Utd were at the same stage (they actually had 6 wins to our 4). Utd, however, had been completely adrift for months, they were a laughing stock, effectively relegated already. They went on to take a decent 7 points post-split, but still their final tally of 28 was 8 behind the team in 11th and 15 behind 10th. So we are no better than they were (well, 1 point better) and yet all season there has been a whole bunch of clubs within touching distance of us, enabling Foran to talk about top 6 until a few weeks ago, whereas Utd were just talking about staying sufficiently in touch to give themselves a chance if they won all their post-split games. So results elsewhere have been very favourable to us, preventing our dismal points tally from leaving us completely adrift, and helping to mask what a terrible, terrible job Foran has done with this side.3 points

The time to start the blood-letting and taking stock will be when our fate is decided. We still have it in our own hands to avoid relegation and yes I am only too aware that games are running out but things could change for the better quickly if we could get a early win in the remaining games and lets remember that all the teams next to us will be taking points of each other. Lets use our energy to give the team all the positive backing we can and you never you the team may surprise you.3 points

So why don't our captain and senior players do something about that? Either by talking with the manager - and I do mean "with" and not "to" - or even making their own adjustments on the field of play when they can see what the problems are. Maybe I am being incredibly naive. Or maybe they have already done these things - I am not close to the club and I don't see many matches. But to blame absolutely everything on the manager seems a bit much, when we still supposedly have "players who are better than our current position would suggest". Presumably they can think for themselves - although I accept that whether they are allowed to is a different matter.2 points

Our demise is nothing to do with any central belt conspiracy but everything to do with naive and inexperienced management of players who are better than our current position would suggest.2 points

We need to try to re-sign Miles Storey ... I really feel he's been what we've been missing in defence ... What a goal-line clearance that was ... Sensational!2 points

I'm pretty despondent right now with regards ICT, I think we are looking at the demise of our club as a top flight team, I really do. We can't buy a win, we don't look like getting a win and I think the manager has blown his lot on trying to figure out how to get the best formation and how to get the best from the players, according to some sources Foran is pretty thrawn and does not seem to be able to take advice from the coaching team around him. Some of the team set-ups have been questionable and tactics pretty naive, i'm sure the players can and surely want to perform better but the moral must be low as the pressure increases. As for the club, We have not moved on from our early days after promotion to the SPFL, Still the portacabin plonked outside, still dodging mud and puddles going to the shop/toilets and this to the sad stuff on the pitch and it's not much of an enjoyable matchday experience i'm afraid. Anyway, i'm off for a malt, and i'll be there on Saturday hoping and shouting the players on to maybe a win.1 point

Nah, County have Roy McGregor who literally throws money at the club, We have nobody, in fact we can't even give shares away!! Sandy Catto's shares are still awaiting a bidder! There is something wrong at our club.1 point

Maybe other results going in our favour is a more understandable way of expressing what I mean . On several occasions this seasons I and many others have hoped for other teams to lose and it didn't happen . Hope you can make sense of that . I agree with what you say we are lucky to be where we are at this stage . Pleased to see you haven't given up hope and like yourself I too am hoping for a win on Sat.1 point

I am more hopeful than I was after the Hamilton debacle. Since then we seem to have tightened up at the back considerably. We were conceding 2 goals a game. Not sure what the stats are like now. Presently we are giving ourselves a chance in every game. If we continue as we are, we will finish bottom but a slight improvement going forward will see us with a good chance. A lot depends on the teams around us. Firstly we MUST beat them. If not and they pick up unexpected points we are goosed. I believe its a bottom 3 of us, Dundee and Accies. I think county will pull away, as will well to a lesser extent. Im a positive person, one bonus is; at least its exciting!1 point

Not sure what you mean about other results going against us. To be honest this season I think we have been very fortunate that with only 4 wins we are still within touching distance of the clubs that are above us. The form we have been in, it is a minor miracle that it is now April and we haven't been cut loose at the bottom. Still hope..... starting with a home win on Saturday.1 point

I don't think that anyone has given up on us staying up but many of us are realistic about that prospect taking into account recent results and performances. Things might have been different had the manager displayed such realism several weeks ago rather than continuing to talk about top six.1 point

If you can't beat the teams around you, you'll go down. We've had a home win against Dundee and an away victory at Motherwell + a few draws against the bottom 6. Sure, we'll have one more pop at each of them, but I have zero faith in Richie to select the right team to win any games. The frustration is that there is a good team in there, but it has only been selected on one occasion on account of injuries and the Foran tombola selection policy. I'll be there to the bitter end, but more in hope than expectation.1 point

My secret source from inside the club has just sent me an exclusive, never-before-seen secret photo of the contraption the club blew it's budget on over the summer. It's believed this is the machine Foran uses to pick the team every week...1 point

Am I the only one on here who isn't giving up on us staying up ? Love or loathe Richie it's far too late to do anything as far as a manager goes .Personally I don't have a problem with him . We shouldn't rely on results elsewhere but apart from Celtic we are not alone in that ,and this must be our worst season for other results going against us . It's not over yet so get behind the team and KEEP THE FAITH !!!0 points

Kelty Hearts Training Statement
tm4tj posted an article in News 2023-24,
What a farce we have become, a laughing stock: Did you hear the one about the footbal team from the Highlands of Scotland that want to train at Cowdenbeath? Unfortunately, unlike our board, this is not a joke. Our board are trying to rip our identity from the Highlands and replace it with shared training at Kelty Hearts. I kid you not, this is not a drill and the clowns that run our club appear to be delighted at this coup.-

Relegation Statement
tm4tj posted an article in News 2023-24,
RELEGATION STATEMENT: This could have been said ten minutes after our defeat to Hamilton three days ago. So far, this is not the news that we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better as fans.-

Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2023-24,
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.-

Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
tm4tj posted an article in Reports 2023-24,
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.
Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.-
