  1. You could see the difference when Austin & Calder came on, more width and pace with some good crosses in. The addition of Mckay always produces an increase in tempo and chances. I wonder why we leave the substitutions so late in the game? If players are brought on to make a difference or have an effect, surely they need some time to do so !!!!
  2. Very disappointing performance in front of the back four. We created little and and seemed to be very lacklustre. we only looked as though we might threaten when Calder came on. I’m really not sure what the lad has to do to get more game time. I wasn’t at the County game but had been delighted to hear the good reports about Polworth’s performance. But where was he today? He was almost anonymous. Happy for us to come away with a point we didn’t really deserve.
  3. I think White is useless and would rather see Mackay get a start.
  4. A shambles of a performance and we were fortunate to get anything from that. GGH was outstanding and controlled the midfield. Best player on the park by a country mile. Dobbie always a threat and if Coll Donaldson had not been on his game we would have suffered. Coll was our outstanding performer with Welsh next best. I'm afraid Rooney was awful, Polworth in awe of Harkins, Mckay wayward, Doran ineffective, Walsh uninterested..... where do we begin, Martin could have sat in the North Stand we were so poor. Robbo needs to have a serious word with White. For a big guy he won hee-haw. We improved when Cader Austin and Daniel Mackay came on, but we could have played for a month and not scored. Totally hacked off with that performance, no excuses we were simply minging. Did we improve or was it Harkins being subbed that improved our chances???
  5. One word for that.... Abysmal
  6. Based on Austin at least showing last season he could get a few goals he's probably the best option for a run in the team. Might not be prolific but neither is his competition.
  7. This!! I was beginning to think it was just me? I would like to see Calder given a chance.
  8. Sorry, what exactly did people see from Austin today that showed he deserves a start next week? He offered very little after coming on and miscontrolled a number of passes and struggled to link with team mates. Whilst that's perfectly understandable after a few weeks out I'm not convinced I saw anything today that deserves a starting spot.
  9. Sorted it for you......
  10. Robbo's quote from the BBC Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager John Robertson: "We definitely wanted to win it but Queen of the South came out with a really rigid formation for us to play through - we couldn't do it. "We're seven games undefeated this season and we want to win our home games. We need to be better than that if we want to challenge for the title and the top places." He is right with the last sentence!
  11. We sooo need a 20 goal (min) per season striker. Not understanding why Daniel Mackay isn't getting more game time. Struggling to see what Jordan White brings to the party.
  12. Another clean sheet and still unbeaten but we need a striker.

  14. Queen Dobbie is the Goal King The Stephen Dobbie goal show comes to town on Saturday as Inverness take on high scoring Queen of the South. Who is going to stop him? Coll Donaldson and Mark Ridgers of course as Inverness face Queens at the Caledonian Stadium, the game kicking off at 15:00. Our last outing was the derby draw at Dingwall. Despite our superiority in the first half we failed to get past Scott Fox and County finished the game strongly. A point apiece was a fair enough score but Robbo would be the better pleased manager after witnessing our domination for over an hour. Liam Polworth was the victim of some cynical fouls by former team mate Iain Vigurs, ending the game holding his shoulder. We slipped off the top of the League after that game, but we are still unbeaten after 17 games in the Championship. Ayr United find themselves at the top with Lawrence Shankland hitting the two goals that put them there after they beat Alloa Athletic 2-0. Despite being the top scorers in the League (13 goals), Queens sit seventh after six games with two wins, two draws and two defeats. Their last outing saw Partick Thistle come from behind twice to win 3-2. Stephen Dobbie and Josh Todd had Queens ahead twice in the first half but Kris Doolan and a brace from Blair Spittal before the interval won the game for the Jags. Queens have beaten Ayr United and Falkirk, drawn with Ross County and Morton and lost to Dundee United and Partick. So, what is this Dobbie phenomenon? He scores one goal for every hour he plays. He has nine League goals so far including a hat-trick against Falkirk and four against Ayr United. He also scored a couple in the Challenge cup game against Crusaders in the first half. This guy knows how to score and needs watching. He's in the twilight of his career at 35 years old and is a man of many clubs. His most prolific periods have come in two spells at Palmerston. He scored 47 times between 2007-2009 in 84 appearances and this time around has 46 goals since 2016 from 76 games. He also scored 13 goals in four separate loan spells at Blackpool and 9 whilst at Swansea. That's a terrific return by any standards. Who are his new team mates entrusted with supplying him with the scoring opportunities? Well, they managed to acquire arguably the most gifted midfielder in the division, Glorious Gary Harkins from Morton. Another quality capture is Adam Frizzell, a midfielder from Kilmarnock who has arrived on loan. Michael Doyle, defender (Morton); Josh Todd, midfielder (St Mirren, loan to permanent). David Norman Junior, midfielder (Vancouver Whitecaps); Callum Semple, defender (Sheffield United) are their other new recruits. The Doonhamers made room for these new guys by shipping amongst others, Shaun Rooney to Inverness. Captain John Rankin went to Clyde, experienced striker Derek Lyle (Peterhead). Loans ended for Myles Beerman, defender (Rangers); Nikolay Todorov, forward (Heart of Midlothian); Kyle Cameron, defender (Newcastle United); Joe Thomson, midfielder (Celtic); Curtis Lyle, goalkeeper (Kilmarnock). Team News John Robertson will be without George Oakley who is ruled out for two months with a hamstring injury. Liam Polworth took a few knocks courtesy of Iain Vigurs and could be a doubt. Nathan Austin missed the derby with mild concussion but should be ready for action. Gary Naysmith said:- "we will have the same squad as last weekend as Darren Brownlie is still in rehab and although Callum Fordyce is back training, it is still touch and go if he will be ready for this weekend". He went with this starting XI last time out with Adam Frizzell on the bench:- Martin; Mercer, Doyle, Semple, Marshall, Stirling, Jacobs, Todd, Harkins, Dobbie, Dykes. Here's Robbo talking to the press ahead of this encounter with the Queens. In last night Championship game at East End Park, Dunfermline beat Partick Thistle 1-0 thanks to a goal from Aidan Connolly.
  15. Haha gotta wonder on the sanity of these pundits sharpest hitman in Europe Iv seen sharper snowballs! The moments gone for the mouldy toenails tho if we loose to Queens I'm considering a streak show our female fans what it's all about!
  16. A point that has not gone unnoticed on our own preview...........
  17. Not sure if I'm going yet but II'm pretty certain a fair section of #CaleyAway will be in Trades before the game . It's about 5-10 mins walk from the train station and right opposite a taxi rank. ?
  18. still in the pipeline but unless you want to front up the cash for this we all have mortgages to pay and families to feed. Edit - you react as 'confused' dougal .... let me try to explain in with as few syllables as possible : it takes time to set up, it takes time to get the data, it takes time to enter that data. A LOT of time. As we all have real lives to live and real obligations outside of this bubble then it will get done as and when/where time permits unless someone wants to pay us to take a sabbatical from our real jobs to speed things up .... therefore its still in our plans but no timeline is set.
  19. Polworth.......................... really. have you been to specsavers?
