  1. Our best 3 players this season have been Donaldson, Ridgers and Walsh. All missing, so not too bad a result. Until they are all back, it might just be a case of staying within touching distance of 4th place, then a full strength side finishing strongly.
  2. Come on guys Don,t blame the keeper he should of had better protection young guy thrown in at the deep end.
  3. We’d probably get a points deduction for going for the latter so I hope not.
  4. The BBC are the public service broadcaster for the whole of the UK funded by licence fees from us all. When they have the rights to show live FA Cup matches they, without giving it a second thought, broadcast that match throughout the UK thus giving exposure to the clubs, tournament and sponsors generating income for all three. Surely, given their public service remit, they should do the same for the Scottish Cup and the Scottish game. Instead they pay salaries to Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer which, in combination, amount to, more or less, what they invest in total in our game.
  5. It was Heather Dewar at the game, what do you expect. We should have been out of sight at half time. The Falkirk fans were just getting the boos going when Rudden scored. Doran was almost in the clear, hit the ball past the right back, then pulled up with a groin injury. Just as he was starting to show a bit of form. A lot of positives today, Chalmers was outstanding (never thought I would say that), White had a decent battle all over the park including defence (still couldn’t trap a bag of cement mind you). McCart was solid. Doran had as good a game as I’ve seen all season. Welsh, Rooney as usual. Austin battled away and won a few fouls but for me he’s always a bit lightweight and tries to run defenders when he hasn’t really got the pace. McCauley could be useful once he gets up to the pace of our league. Doesn’t lack confidence to try things anyway. MacDonald was hardly on long enough to get a touch so hard to judge, think it was him who shot past the near post late on. As long as he isn’t another Billy King. Sorry to say our keeper fumbled one early on which dunted his confidence. Falkirk fans going on about McShane’s corner but every corner he took before that (at least 4) was gash, so maybe he got lucky. With Ridgers we would probably have won that, never mind Wonderboy Walsh, and the Great Wall of Coll (copyright somebody else, not me) sitting amongst us.
  6. Not very fair from Starchief blaming our 3rd choice keeper for us not winning, as usual plenty chances to put the game to bed
  7. Our season in microcosm. Taking and then squandering the lead not once but twice. Very disappointing against a team so lacking in form and confidence. Odd that OFW's "injury" didn't trouble him when he was in the United States. The sooner we get that waste of the biggest salary at the club off the wage bill the better.
  8. I don't know the revenue split between the clubs for ticket sales but even if you say 50% each I'm sure the club will miss your £7.50 compared to the £32500.00 or whatever it may be from tv income. If you can't go, don't go, simple. I already told Caleyjag I'd loved to go but living in Aberdeen we now can't but I'm not whinging about it, instead I'm looking at the bigger picture in terms of finances for our club which we desperately need. It will never change and games will continually be moved to accommodate tv deals whether fans like it or not and at our level nothing fans do can change that, it would literally take a three figure attendance at this game for us to potentially be worse off financially and that's not going to happen. Yes some people who wanted to go will miss out due to travel, work etc but logically speaking given our allocation of tickets there's a lot more who would have missed out anyway had the game not been moved for tv and they wouldn't have seen it at all.
  9. How predictable, either a loss or a draw in the league. Big chance missed with qos beaten, not going to make any difference now anyway to deserve a chance at promotion we need to win games and we clearly can't do it
  10. If you can use BBC iPlayer while you are away, you can see the game in England.
  11. Two and a half year deal. If he fits in well with the other players (and Robbo seems to have a reasonable record on that score) then he sounds as though he could be a really good signing.
  12. https://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/Inverness-Caledonian-Thistle-signs-Irish-winger-24012019.htm Well done to the club and welcome to a player hungry to reach his full potential.
  13. Gregor what is his inner leg size compared to other strikers ?
  14. The boy certainly has a good bit of experience and would appear to bring a bigger goal threat than our other midfielders having scored 46 career goals from 179 starts , albeit at a different level than some of the other boys in our midfield. This has to be borne in mind as Trafford has scored 12 goals in his career but not scored for us. So hopefully his assists are decent too, can’t get details on this for comparison starts/goals McCauley 179 / 46 Doran 171 / 32 Walsh 98 / 19 Polworth 152 / 17 Welsh 155/ 14 Trafford 102 / 12 Chalmers 102 / 5 So on paper this is a decent signing , well done to Robbo in securing the transfer.
  15. Not often we manage to sign a player when there is competition so well done to the club and the player in risking turning full time at a relatively mature age. Hopefully, with the TV money we will get from the cup game, we can bring in at least one more before the window closes and push on for a play off place at the very least.
  16. Not convinced that our signing policy should be based on avoiding players you have never heard of.
  17. But he has the ability to finish. A very similar player to Walsh but a little more quality. These two paired up will really open the wings up, allow White etc to finish the stuff in the box, and free Polly (hopefully) to start to boss from Midfield. As much as I hate to say it we are missing a player like Vigurs in the midfield and Polly hasn't filled the void left by him completely - he is getting there slowly but we need urgency now if we are to make the play offs. On the whole though, the squad has some real potential.
  18. 0 points
Still didn't get innwhat a blind man can see tho a fckin striker with feet on the right way!!!!!
  19. As you know, there is more to Dougal than meets the eye. I think that the sudden (as it appears) staff clearance is most likely to be related to finances and so on. Have any staff mentioned that they have not received their money on time, or at all, recently? I really hope not but that would be a killer if it has happened...?
