  1. The wrong Walsh was substituted.
  2. It may be a reflection of the ethos of the 2 clubs. I may be biased of course, but I think successive managers have wanted to put honest teams out on the pitch. Of course, there has always been an element of the street wise but there has never been a nasty element. The same, unfortunately can't be said of County this season. There is a nasty streak there and the way Draper played last night made it look as though he had been tasked to intimidate our midfield by fair means or foul. Ably assisted by an abysmal referee, his job was well and truly done by half time with one of our players sent off and others having taken knocks. Trafford's bookings may have been fair enough but I'm sure he only went in to the tackle as he did because he was incensed that the referee had not blown for the foul on Polworth. We are a young side and a lot of these bookings are the result of a bit of inexperience. Draper showed his experience and Trafford showed his inexperience. These games require cool heads and discipline and I don't think it helps when these young lads see fans on social media saying they aren't trying hard enough. They were trying alright! I heard a lot of angry shouting last night imploring players to get stuck in and challenge, take players on or shouting that they should have made an effort to cut out the pass, but more often than not, the player would have simply left space for the opposition to play the ball into if they had followed the fans' advice. Just because you are not running around like headless chickens does not mean you are not trying. The problem is they sometimes try too hard and end up getting out of position or losing possession by taking an unnecessarily risky option. There is a need to maintain discipline both in how the players react to the opposition winding them up and how they go about the game plan. Trafford will learn from last night but I thought it was a really gutsy 2nd half performance from the lads. For me, it underlined that regardless of what position we and County end up in the league, we will have more reason to feel proud of our team that the County fans will of theirs.

He's put the ball in the net....
  4. I certainly thought that Draper fouled Polworth a few seconds before Trafford got his second yellow. No wonder County subbed him at the break. I did enjoy that Tremarco challenge on Spence I think it was. Glorious!
  5. We now have a lot of important games coming up. The team have continually showed resilience and skill under pressure. They would be better now to focus on these games coming as still a lot to play for. Time to focus and get some more good results. This can still be a very successful season and let's get right behind the team and help make it happen.
  6. Geezo we have witnessed some shocking refs through the years, but that must be the worst ever.
  7. Draper is a complete thug ... wondering if he's trying to put players out of the cup semi the way he is throwing his considerable weight about ?
  8. I have left it until now to comment on last nights game thinking after reflection I would feel less angry. However Im not that refereeing performance last night was bordering on corrupt. The worst decision was actually the one when he chose not to swcond book Draper for his foul on Polworth, then immeadiately booked Charlie for his second time. If he had done his job properly then Charlie wouldnt have made the tackle as we would have had a free kick as play would have been stopped to see Draper red carded. It was a disgraceful performance by an inept refereee and his blind linesmen. Too many decisions to go into but I have never heard so many fans disgusted by a refereeing performance as I heard last night, and also on this forum. I think we would have won the game had we kept 11 players on the pitch. If I want to be harsh then it was two easy goals we lost and big Jordans penalty was not the best at all. However in saying that he and his team mates played the better football for long periods of the game only to be unlucky to be on the same field as a disgrace of a referee called Nick Walsh. I honestly believe the referee cost us the game last night. I will certainly remember the name Nick Walsh as the guy who had the worst refereeing performance that Ive witnessed in the flesh for a long time.

go here : https://caleythistleonline.com/stats/seasons.html/ and just change seasons in the dropdown or go here and you can filter more ways on player stats https://caleythistleonline.com/stats/playerstats.html/ to answer the Billy question ... it was 18-3 and 1 league cup goal.
  10. Let's not forget it was penalties that put us into the next round of the cup. Not so negligent then against the same team by the same player.
  11. I may have lost track but we have squandered at least eight points this season by poor penalty taking. Shocking negligence on our part.
  12. The Ref was shocking, but so was our slow start allowing County to dominate and create their first goal, some slack passes and poor tackles resulting in a sending off and missing a penalty..... we’re all equally pish !!!?
  13. Surely the draw of the fine cuisine served up by the exceptional catering at the ground could have persuaded you to skip dinner and dine out?

See if this helps - I can't find any other line other than Wikipedia and we know how reliable they are. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/inverness-caledonian-thistle-fc/toptorschuetzensaison/verein/2451 2013-14 season: Billy McKay with 18 league goals, 3 Scottish cup goals, not sure about League Cup Before that it would be Adam Rooney
  15. Even after a night sleep I completely agree thought I might have mellowed by the morning!
  16. I think you mean the Ref was P### absolutely ruined what could have been a good Derby He must be raced out of town if he sets foot in it again !!
  17. My thoughts exactly .Along with Draper they should All hang their heads in shame if that's how they've reached the top Our boys can hold their heads up for their effort against 12 men .That ref was the worst I've witnessed in years .He should be stripped of his title . What a shocker . I hope the SFA look at this and act on it . Anyway onwards and upwards we have a Semi Final to look forward to after knocking the them out ??
  18. All the mentions of terrible officiating makes it sound like sour grapes...………………..It certainly was not, that Ref was the worst of the season if not in history !!!! Completely ruined the match.
  19. Really hard to watch that guff. We were awful and can't totally blame the result on Nick Walsh's borderline ridiculous decisions which ruined what could have been end to end entertaining football. Second worst penalty after Vigurs from White and no idea why Walsh and Tremarco were taken off, I think even Carl questioned it. County certainly had 12 on the pitch tonight and we were lucky it ended 2-1. Naff.
  20. The 2nd half was always going to be difficult with 10 against 12, but I'm really proud of the way the players responded. The unfairness of the decisions must have made it desperately frustrating for them and having picked up yellow cards they had to be very careful not to give that disgrace of a referee the opportunity to have us down to 9 men. Yes, there were times when the frustration of nothing going our way made heads drop a bit, but in general we kept pressing and looking for the equaliser and were definitely the better side. I don't suppose County fans will be caring how they win but they demonstrated precious little for their fans to take any pride in. They set out to stop us playing and to kick us off the park. No doubt Draper will get their MOTM for his 1st half hatchet job. In the 2nd half with the lead and a numerical advantage they never tried to play proper football. They simply kept to their nasty, disrupting, fouling game and added in a considerable amount of time wasting. It wasn't pretty but it was perhaps a reflection of the fact that they know we are a better footballing side than them. Ably assisted by the referee, they were able to hold out - but not without a scare or two. As for Tom Walsh being subbed, I imagine that he is not yet considered fit enough for a full game following his injury. I thought he played very well.
  21. One word for that.... Shambolic, and I don't mean the players I mean the ref. I'm not one to ever just point fingers at every ref but that was the most incompetent biased and downright laughable officiating I have ever witnessed. Anyway it is what it is nothing we can do about it now, but now with Trafford out and just about every one of the other 10 given a yellow card it's gonna be a difficult run in with our slim squad Edit: we were also not in the mood either, and simply allowed county to get a foothold on the game that we couldn't recover from. We've got to be the laziest, disinterested squad in the Cship at times
  22. Really disappointing. I thought we started poor, got worse, got a lifeline, blew it, got level, fecked up and got a shit ref. Nick Walsh, you are the worst referee ever. Disgusted, North Kessock
  23. Disappointing. Not often I join the ref was a w***** brigade, but where do I join up? Apart from that, our defending at set pieces was poor. White is not a penalty taker, but apart from that, he had a good game. Doran not his dominant self tonight. We had a good spell for about 20 mins in first half, but were always up against it after that. We really could do with getting even a point at Ayr to keep the chasers at a safe distance. See some of you at Hampden!
  24. Not blaming the players or the manager too much. Almost impossible when you are playing the highest paid team in the league blatantly assisted by quite the worst referee we have seen this season. No point on dwelling on it. We need to start concentrating on building some momentum, starting on Saturday, for the run in to the season, hopefully, including the play offs.
  25. Let's just say that the ref totally spoiled the whole game. Totally inconsistent and actually looked like he had got pissed off with ICT.
  26. The officiating is laughable
  27. Absolute stuck up little **** off a referee. Small man syndrome complete ignores foul on polworth before giving Trafford red for a good tackle.
