  1. Nothings ideal. Many people like to ignore our extensive injury list like it never happened. However our off the field antics are well documented and verge on or beyond embarrassing. Lot's of things combine to define our season. For me the injuries were real and played a major part in our dismal form. You simply can't take ten first picks out of the side and expect miracles. Dodds' biggest error was the public hanging of Mark Ridgers. The injuries were out of his control. Worth renewing.........maybe aye maybe no.
  2. Agreed, but while its much more positive now and good feelings are out there, it shouldn't detract from the fact this season has been a failure and a shambles both on and off park. Even if we get successful outcomes in the remaining games, there still requires serious questions regarding both financial stability/management and how the club has presided over a manager who on successive seasons has perpetuated horrific mid-season collapses which ultimately have cost us winning the title.
  3. Highlights, which I assume have been lifted off an old Pixellot (shudder) camera at Hamilton, are now available.
  4. Just read on courier website that groundsman extraordinaire Tommy Cumming has passed away. Very sad news. A definite character who kept our pitch in perfect condition for years. Had many interesting conversations with him over the years. (just dont mention undersoil heating!!!) . I have one specific memory of him being very nice to my son when he first visited the stadium ... giving him permission to ignore the 'keep off the grass' sign and walking with him on the pitch, then giving me a row when i followed ... my son loved it and I knew he was on the wind-up (i think). Team will wear black armbands this weekend and observe a minute of applause. Definitely merited for the huge contribution he made to our club. Condolences to his loved ones. RIP Tommy, you will be missed. https://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/sport/tributes-paid-to-inverness-caledonian-thistle-groundsman-who-311070/ https://ictfc.com/tribute-to-tommy-cumming/
  5. The problem with Dodds is that we have had mid season slumps this season and last which have potentially cost us the Championship. While injuries have played a part this season, Dodds was culpable on both occasions by not altering tactics or team selections until it was too late (for example the home win against Arbroath last season which then kick started our run to the play offs). I simply don't believe he can change things tactically when needed and that has cost us big time. We do need fresh blood at the club and Kellagher and Wilson need to go as well
  6. Its time to do the Hokey Cokey ??
  7. They must be too embarrassed to show it. It was Carson - Shaw - Welsh - Mckay. You can see Allardice inside of Shaw.
  8. He deserves another season. Hopefully hear something soon.
  9. Some good football and energy on Tuesday requires a re assessment and I must now post a 7. This survey, no matter what, will serve as an interesting historical document.

Even Billy Mckay is starting to talk openly about aiming for 2nd spot (P&J today). C'mon Billy - you are all good enough to win the league I hope - just keep winning and hopefully the rest will take care of itself. Super Caley (Thistle) go Ballistic.🏆

Simples isn't it :- ICT beat Dundee and Ayr to finish on 60 points QP lose to Ayr, lose to Morton and draw with Dundee to finish on 58 points Dundee lose to ICT, lose to Cove and draw with QP to finish on 59 points PT draw one of their last 3 games to finish with a max of 59 points ICT are champions, no need for play-offs What odds would I get on that prediction? Oh, btw I picked the winner of the Grand National too!

I'll still go for the gamble. Ayr to win on Friday, then we need a resurgence from the teams further down the league against those around us in the remaining games, and a draw for Queens Park and Dundee in the final game - and we will win all ours of course! A girl can dream Robert, and sometimes dreams do come true.🏆
  13. Great work by Welsh to keep the ball and set up the winner. Who won the ball near the half way line that started the move for the equaliser: hard to see on a mobile: Allardice? Great character shown to turn that round after conceding to that great free kick. Shame they didn’t show the foul (or as IHE said the very soft foul).
  14. Superb, thanks for that. Well done to all the travelling support too.

Don’t want to burst your bubble of optimism, but I’m looking for Queens Park to beat Ayr on Friday evening. And Hamilton beating Partick on Saturday would do nicely too.
  16. One point that cannot be over stated is how much we've missed Jay Henderson in the past two games. He has been an absolute revelation since we signed him and getting him back in time for the last two league games and semi-final could be pivotal. I'm surprised by comments above regarding Shaw, alongside Henderson a stand out for me this calendar year. Finally, I had a bit of a moment last night when Billy was bearing down on goal for the winner. Without wishing to sound like some sort of Californian new age hippy there was just something about the way he readied himself for the shot where amongst the hysteria I felt a moment of zen like calm that he was destined to score. An absolutely massive goal from a club legend who richly deserves a bit of glory this season.
  17. Last nights result was one of those that makes this season possibly legendary, I was at another match, with more than one eye on my phone, we went behind, I went 'ahhh!, but still had a sneaky feeling, that on a night the whole season could be defined by, we would get something Last weekend, I looked at the upcoming fixtures and realised that we could still claim AUTOMATIC promotion...highly improbable one might say, although only Cove beating Dundee away actually is. Claiming the 2nd spot is do-able [and highly desirable] And of course we could blow the whole thing I might be certifiable! BUT in a season when we beat a side that had beaten us 4 times already, and where we might get to the Scottish Cup Final despite being knocked out, virtually anything can happen...that decision to book flights/hotel for the last match of the season looking better as every match goes by
