Just about recovered after a fabulous weekend, extended ever so slightly by a brief stop off on the way up the road, for lunch yesterday and the other semi at the Caley club. No food on, but plenty of liquid refreshment and a much longer than intended stay. Well done boys - what a great day. You did us proud.Well done to Billy for his 100th goal. I don't think even Dennis Wyness would grudge you a few more before the season is done and also before the Scottish Cup is won. Even someone as optimistic as me knows that winning the cup is a big ask, but anything can happen in the cup. We will enjoy the day and hope to be giant killers again. This club has built memories that they could only ever have dreamed of at the time of the merger.6 points

Most of the attention of the stattos was understandably on Billy reach8ng 100 goals on Saturday, but whenAaron came off the bench, he moved onto 369 appearances and overtook Grant Munro to go 2nd in our all time appearances list. He needs another 220 appearances to catch Tokely, but 2nd is still quite an achievement! Interestingly but not unsurprisingly, a lot of Doran’s appearances have been off the bench - 104 of them. So in terms of starts, he is 8th on the list, behind Tokely, Munro, Hastings, Duncan, McBain, Wilson and Charlie. Aaron has 53 goals for us, 7th highest on the all time list.5 points

Only got back home at 11pm last night (Sunday), after a couple of great days. Watched the match with my son plus Eagle for Caley. Really good to catch up with him again, drinking lots of beer, eating pizza, good chat and banter. Stayed overnight in Coatbridge with friends of my son (Celtic supporters!), who couldn't have been more hospitable. Well done to the team, great performance, and the fans too were wonderful. Flights already booked for final! Looking forward to another magical day supporting ICT.5 points

I agree, we have some key players out of contract who we would ideally keep. If not, recruitment is key. I make it one defeat in 12 since the Hamilton double defeat, with 9 wins and 2 draws, so we have done better since the injury situation eased and the likes of Deas and Allardice returned. Just how we’d have done had we had fewer injuries we will never know. For me, the cup run has been great and I’m relishing the final, but our most important game is on Friday against Ayr. It is simple: we must win it. Regarding Dodds, his record in 2023 justifies an extension in my opinion. We do seem to have a strong team spirit and a never say die attitude, which is great to see. If we did make a change, who would actually want to take the job?3 points

For the final Peat and Diesel should be approached to do the pre-match music starting with .... Teuchters all let us rejoice For we are young and free We've golden soil and wealth for toil Our home is girt by sea Our land abounds in nature's gifts Of beauty, rich and rare In history's page let every stage Advance Teuchters fair In joyful strains then let us sing Advance Teuchters fair Should bring a smile to Celtic's Manager.2 points

I'd be a bit happier if I thought he could retain most of the squad. If by some miracle he got Deas and Allardice to sign that would probably swing it for me. I imagine the rest of the spine e.g. Devine will not be getting better offers from other clubs and Welsh has another year. Tactically I don't think Dodds is any worse than many other managers in our league and certainly no worse than McGlynn as we saw on Saturday.2 points

Just watched the highlights (again!) and it was only this time that it struck me how Wynessesque Shaw’s effort was. Of course Wyness would’ve scored it, but the stepover was nice!2 points

I've not been able to track them down. Funnily enough was talking to redcard on Sat re these. I wonder if they are under main stand somewhere?2 points

What a lovely trip up! In the company too of CaleyMad and his son! Probably the difference was we could finish our chances and Falkirk couldn't despite our charitable acts to give them a couple of chances [don't do that against Celtic boys]. Shaw desperately unlucky, and I was impressed by how simple and effective Henderson kept it with great delivery too. Duffy impressed as well, I don't think Kennedy ever beat him? [TBF to Kennedy who was getting boo'd for being an 'ex, he kept going against us for 90mins and always looked a threat...not bad for a 20year old] With me whooping with delight in the stadium at Palace also winning, I had the surreal moment of being recognised by and thus being introduced to Yngwie So onto the final, flight up already booked, but Hotel and Flight-back costs, leading me to book an overnight coach return! Meanwhile I'm up for Part II of the 'most important game of the season'.... against Ayr2 points

Well earned? Our internal media did next to nothing in the build up to the game, posted about 12 updates during the game and an amateur hour video of the players on the pitch at the end. The old media team had fans bouncing in the build up, posted plenty of match updates (also more entertaining/interesting ones) and had reports online before we were home in previous seasons. CTO reports are miles better, and I don't miss the club stuff that much, but the idea that they're having a well earned day off is pushing things!2 points

We’ve nothing to lose at the final so the players, backroom team and fans just need to enjoy the experience and if we exceed our expectations it will be unbelievably brilliant. I was hoping for Rangers as I think they’d be more likely to underestimate us, whereas we have upset Celtic over the years in the cup so they will treat us as a serious threat. Looking forward to ticket details and getting the weekend planned.2 points

Am I alone in thinking that it is remiss, over 24 hours on, to still having nothing on the website re our semi final victory. Potential new fans may be looking us up. We need to capitalise on our good fortune and then our tremendous run.1 point

Great short sighted viewing, what about the form in our other 32 games, including successive mid season collapses? Point of note, McGlynn isn't in this league for good reason but its a pretty low bar to use as a standard given he has a career of being mediocre and achieving nothing noteworthy with any team.1 point

Viaplay weren’t offering it here as a one-off, it had to be a subscription which I think was offered at about £50. Anyway I’m not sure I could have recorded it for later Great to be there anyway, had forgotten what a privilege it is to get a day out with your team at Hampden, you take it for granted when you’re young. The final will be my 50th visit1 point

Its a great story, fabulous achievement, so good for the club. It also represents a fantastic opportunity to capitalise. Maybe Im being a bit harsh and I certainly dont want to spoil the feelgood factor but we need to switch on .1 point

Yep, I would have preferred Rangers too. Reckon Celtic will be better prepared pushing for the treble and their fans will definitely want a bit of revenge.1 point

However, we have a 100% win record when playing Celtic at Hampden, along with a 100% success record in Scottish Cup Finals!1 point

It was magic seeing us reach a second Scottish Cup Final. Never ever thought it likely. Am really pleased Celtic beat Rangers today because I think Rangers would have hammered us on the 3rd June...... So this Friday is now the most important game of our season.1 point

I hope this is coherent as just back at hotel after a celebratory afternoon and evening! On a sample of 1, I like VAR! Watching it back, it was a penalty and taken well by Mckay. Falkirk then troubled us and should have equalised but hit the post at an open goal after Ridgers and the defence got in a muddle, but the second came at the right time. A great ball by Henderson and perfect finish by Mackay, who loved it! Probably his best game for us this season too. The third also came after a spell of Falkirk pressure, and another lucky escape for us, with Mackay picking out Mckay who finished well. Shaw hit the post twice and was unlucky with both. A more comfortable result than we maybe deserved but a thoroughly deserved win. Well done to all 16 who played and to the backroom team. A shout out to the singing section also. I just hope everyone there today comes on Friday evening for our must win game against Ayr. Now time for sleep!1 point
