  1. I'm making just my second contribution here in a year of self-imposed purdah because I feel strongly enough about this to want to back up Scotty's effort to put the record straight about David Sutherland. Sutherland's, and hence Tulloch's involvement with the club began right at the start of 2000 and their contributions have AT LEAST amounted to the following:- * When the club's debt hit around 2.3M late in 1999 DS, as Tulloch Chairman, arranged for the company to spirit that debt away; otherwise Administration or worse would have been inevitable. That happened in conjunction with the sta

  3. Totally agree with last few posts. I doubt the club would be in business last 2 seasons if not for DFS and DC.

  4. This would be the same guy who literally gave away 700,000 shares via the Trust and put them under the direct control of the current group running the club? The same guy who has been pumping money into the club since the early 2000s to keep us afloat, and who has also (quietly) continued to do the same over the last couple of years despite having no direct involvement with the club or any position or representation on the board? A man who also saw a fairly simple agreement to hand over ownership of the two stands back to the club morph into a tome that Tolstoy would have been proud of which ac

  5. There is a reason for that. They have lots of room for corporate activity especially during week. Unlike us!

  7. I think it's a throwback to when free u12 tickets were only available in the family section in the North Stand, then they extended it to the whole North Stand as the family section had essentially stopped being that anyway.

  8. A rare but very welcome intervention. Were it not for the timely intervention of David Sutherland the seminal event of 1999 would not have been our famous victory at Parkhead but our administration or, quite possibly, liquidation. Before he came in we were carrying a debt more than twice our annual turnover and the bank had run out of patience. He laid the foundations for a decade and a half spent mainly in the black and mainly in the top flight. He did make mistakes but who doesn't. We have much to be thankful to him for.

  10. Ayr v Alloa - draw @ 3.50 please Big thank you again from me for all the hard work you put into this, it's much less painful getting this wrong compared to a coupon although it still annoys me lol. Good to have an eye on another result each weekend.

  11. That's a terrific bit of news. Ridgers has done really well this season and having someone reliable between the posts helps to build confidence through the team. Let's hope this news helps encourage others to renew and extend contracts too.

  12. We really need to wait until we find out which division we will be in next season before deciding what we need and, more to the point, what we can afford.

  14. Interesting to note that the Adult North Stand goes up by £13 outwith the EB Offer, whereas the Main Stand goes up by £16 outwith it... And the Senior goes up by £13 for main stand, but £9 up for the North. Would've thought they'd be consistent in price increases...

  15. The clown who thought it'd be a good idea to appoint Foran and keep him all season is completely to blame for our club been in dire straits! Tho tbf a lot of u guys on here were insanely calling for yogis head and euphoric when an untried manager got the job moral of the story careful what u wish for eh

    • Raith Rovers -V- Inverness CT - Postponed
      Season hanging by a thread.

Match Postponed due to covid outbreak at Raith Rovers: Saturday’s Scottish Championship match between Raith Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Stark’s Park has been postponed after Raith Rovers informed the SPFL that they could not fulfil the fixture.

It barely seems justified or acceptable that I should be writing about a bunch of guys kicking a bag of wind around a frozen park in the middle of winter, but I suppose we need something to take our minds off the ongoing battle against coronavirus that has brought this and other countries to it's knees. We are not alone in this struggle, it's threatening the very existence of mankind so let's all try and do our bit to get back to some form of normality and do as we are asked. In the darkest days on this planet, world wars saw millions of people asked to go out and save our country by fighting the enemy, lying in muddy trenches, frozen, soaking and terrified, going to foreign lands, being apart from our families and the ones we love. Today, we are being asked to stay inside our own houses and wash our hands with soap and water. It's a small sacrifice, but one that is just as important as the previous battles that have killed millions around the world. I hope we can all help and ease the burdens on our Doctors, nurses, NHS, essential retailers and workers who are keeping the country going. So, over to you and let's beat the enemy you can't see.

    • Ian Broadfoot
Sad news released by the club today is that Club Historian Ian Broadfoot has passed away at the age of 73 after taking ill around Boxing Day.

Ian was a wealth of knowledge for us here at Caley Thistle Online as we made our way into the Leagues and his statistics were the basis for our own database. His knwledge of all things ICTFC were the background behing his wonderful book that was published recently, Milestones and Memories.

Condolences to Ian's family and friends and the wider Caley Jags family. RIP Ian.

    • Arbroath -V- Inverness CT ***GAME OFF***
We first foot the Smokies on the 2nd of January 2021. It's a New Year, but unfortunately the same old shit as it's a covid restricted game with no fans allowed. The game kicks-off at 3:00pm on Saturday with Arbroath stuck at the foot of the table and Inverness in seventh place. Maybe more appropriate to take a roll of ShitBegone instead of a lump of coal!

    • Inverness CT 1-1 Dunfermline - Report
What's the Storey, Miles Glory: Inverness fell behind after twenty minutes when some pinball ended with McInroy drilling the ball home from inside the box. Sutherland was unlucky when his header crashed off the bar with the keeper beaten. Glory Glory Miles Storey scored with a stunning left foot shot high past a despairing Fon Williams to level the game with around 25 minutes left and that's how it ended, all square in the final game of 2020, a year we all want to forget. Happy New Year when it comes.
