  1. Were there any players who could have gone much further if they'd trained harder?
  2. You're just p'd off because you weren't invited! The one that's getting me at the moment is that a bunch of luvvies vote for their favourite films and it somehow becomes the most important thing happening in the world today.
  3. In addition to scoring a goal, most reports have him as Man of the Match on Saturday. For a 42 year old making his first competitive start for about a year (I think), it is quite remarkable. Of course, it's equally remarkable that his ability and intelligence on the pitch somehow got lost when making the few steps between the touchline and the dugout.
  4. :thumb04: Can the Bennett lad can get custody of it?
  5. To be honest I always thought he'd reached that milestone a LONG time ago! But congrats anyway!
  6. I don't know why the BBC add that to match reports. On 90 mins, the few people who have voted surely weren't even at the game. Here are the ratings now - Rooney our second lowest score, with Imrie, Djemba-Djemba and Proc way out in front. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ext/6273205.stm

    Djebi-zadi

I would agree with that analysis.
  8. Because they were Dyer.
  9. I recall that she was a colleague of Yompa (stood next to her) who got roped into going even though she wasn't really into football or ICT. More to the point, why was Marius Niculae stood at the bar behind her?!
  10. Very true. However I've dealt with quite a few people in his industry and they generally don't have a great deal of business acumen, just a great deal of greed. A bit like most football agents in fact. I trust he's better than the ones I've encountered. BTW, when I read that he goes to many away games I was expecting to see a face I would recognise. Is it just me? Maybe he goes to the posh seats.
  11. Robbo, the only time I've ever seriously doubted your judgement as a manager was your persistance in playing Darran Thompson. He was young and did his best for us, but I just didn't think he had the credentials required of a professional footballer. What particular abilities could you see in him that I couldn't?
  12. You've brought back fond memories of that one John. Still have the match programme. Maybe one day I'll get you Billy Urquhart to sign it.
  13. Utd were getting past Proctor far too easily yesterday, but other than that he was ok.
  14. This was the best game I've seen Imrie have, he gave the utd defence a torrid time and they weren't at all comfortable with his direct running and constant harrying. Really got up their noses. Pity he made some wrong pass or run decisions when we were hitting on the break.
  15. Wasn't that was Morais, outside a casino?
  16. Nope, those days are past now, and in the past they must remain.
  17. I wouldn't be so sure that its his!
  18. Been watching the Dundee buses pass my office all afternoon! As for council workers, they are mostly skivers.
  19. It snowed all morning in Dundee but the roads are clear and the pitch will be fine once the Utd team get sent out to clear the snow off.

    Proctor

    Proctor is an unspectacular defender.
  21. As my old mate Erasmus texted me when Brown became PM, "in regione caecorum rex est luscus".
  22. I can see where this is going!
  23. I see Dundee placed adverts in some of the broadsheet Sunday papers recruiting for additional Directors. Part of the job description was that applicants should be willing to purchase shares, and I suspect that the extent of their willingness to do so will be pretty much the only interview question.
  24. Well done Linwood. Must admit, I was expecting Alex MacLeod to come in with a last minute winning bid!
