Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”

    • Kelty Hearts Training Statement
What a farce we have become, a laughing stock: Did you hear the one about the footbal team from the Highlands of Scotland that want to train at Cowdenbeath? Unfortunately, unlike our board, this is not a joke. Our board are trying to rip our identity from the Highlands and replace it with shared training at Kelty Hearts. I kid you not, this is not a drill and the clowns that run our club appear to be delighted at this coup.

  4. Just received an email re Season Tickets. Can't imagine a major rush pending clarification what is happening!
  5. Don't know about the stadium. But the grass has been cut at Fort George, so looks like they're gearing up for pre-season. Just need some players now.
  6. I believe staff were spoken to yesterday, briefly. Still chasing investors. Looks like a total reboot is on the cards.
  7. Today
  8. I don’t know the whole story. They had a plan to merge with Strathspey that Strathspey rejected, then it was said they would not be playing in the NCL this season.
  9. Anybody actually been to the stadium recently? Are the lights still on, is there anybody at home? My goodness we don't even get updates about the club shop opening hours any longer.....
  10. Yep, been a letdown, lost direction I fear, last seen heading towards Dingwall.
  11. I bet they release a statement confirming administration after the game has kicked off tonight.
  12. Has your carrier pigeon got lost? Maybe lost its coordination when flying over a battery farm and started heading for Kelty? If it has a tracking chip it would be good to know if and when we can expect it home!
  13. Take a bucket and get a collection going to save our souls.
  14. Well done Bob. Mikey would be delighted
  15. Couple of pictures in Munich.
  16. Another dereliction of duty to add to the list.
  17. What happened with Loch Ness, they seemed quite successful and had really sweet strips.
  18. Loch Ness have withdrawn from the NCL for the coming season.

  20. Revival of a revival that went kaput around the time we won the cup. Nothing to do with the situation of the current club, but can't see it lasting very long, given the dedicated fanbases in Inverness, to ICT, Clach, (unfortunately) the Old Firm, and (even more unfortunately) C*unty, and its not an especially intriguing revival story. If they went for Union, Celtic or Citadel, you're looking at 100ish years since they were last uttered in a footballing sense, but Thistle kinda still exists as part of ICT. Unless they manage to pull off a Loch Ness FC kit miracle, they'll be dead as quick as the side that preceded it in the District League in the 2010s. That said, they are looking to get into the North Caley from next season, (Loch Ness rebrand? Who knows), but its certainly a massive ask for a side thats not been active in even the district leagues in roughly a decade
  21. And may god have mercy on the poor sods that bring him on board
  22. Pretty sure a few of the directors will be off to Germany right now. If that's the case, the future of the club is decided, or they don't care too much.
  23. On top of all the incompetent, ignorant and disrespectful acts committed by the custodians of our club , they leave us hanging and anxious about the future of our club at a time we should be carefree and looking forward to Scotland at the euros. I’m trying to focus on Scotland but my mind is continually wandering back to whether I have a team to come back to. Thank you to the board, you’re ruining this for me as well.
  24. Reluctantly, I think I have to agree with you. A competent Board would have sufficient business knowledge for a situation like this and a competent CEO would have made sure that relevant information about the club's affairs were accessible and understood both by the Board and by relevant staff who should be sufficiently trained to allow them to routinely cover in the CEO's absence. Unfortunately we have a Board that appears to have adopted a blind faith in Gardiner and have left him to it with little scrutiny over the years. The CEO himself clearly likes the power his position gives him. Knowledge is power and keeping knowledge from others makes his position more powerful. Sadly, the combination of the 2 probably makes him indispensable just now. Gardiner has resigned and will be leaving the club. He will need to find work elsewhere and it will be in his interests to be as helpful as he possibly can in assisting the club to achieve the best outcome possible from the unholy mess he and the board have created.
  25. I spoke to someone earlier this evening who phoned the stadium this afternoon, hoping to book the Kingsmills Suite for a function in August, but whoever answered was unwilling to accept the booking, apparently because they couldn’t be certain of what was going to happen. Apart from anything that anyone might want to infer there about prospects of survival, if the club is going to continue, there’s clearly an ongoing paralysis in terms of taking opportunities to raise cash.
  26. Oh man, good old liability insurance. Destroying many a great thing that is.
  27. I don't recall the details as it was close to the time I was emigrating but there was quite the controversy, because it was a per-person cost for your team and being amateur it would put most of them under a lot of strain. The IDAFA was pretty vocal against it and I think this was one of the straws that eventually broke the camel's back in terms of Inverness' membership of the SAFA and eventual withdrawal/expulsion from it. If memory serves me correctly, I think it might have been limited to liability insurance in case your player hurt another team's player rather than insuring your own team's individual players for medical expenses.
  28. Huh, this I didn't know. I wonder if it was something that was limited to Amateur leagues as I imagine the protections are a lot lower. I still stand by my belief that if anyone should be mandating insurance, it should be down to the Players Union. I mean, I have insurance as an amateur golfer through the Irish Golf Union since they have collective bargaining power. I could imagine that there would be a private insurance out there that would offer the same through the Football Union.
