Elvis

Surely the Elvis situation is now promoted to this forum as it has become apparent that this is no longer a rumour. The club are in touch and an approach has been made. A formidable centre back and leader (how is Granty going to react to that/or will he replace Granty on the park?) it remains to be seen whether he is interested.

Could he shore us up at the back? That would only leave the dugout, the midfield and the forward line to sort out.

Progress indeed!

If SP joined us it probably wouldn't have taken him long to see through his bosses. Brewster AND Grassa probably quietly relieved.

Ah well feck aff Pressley, he needs a few whistles at the next Falkirk game.

Anyway we have got M'hajics or what ever his name is...

' Alan Morgan, Dennis Wyness, Richie Hart and Barry Wilson were all talented, hard working players (like most pele signings) who did an excellent job for ICT but were foolishly jettisoned leaving a void that hasn't been filled. '

Cant agree with Morgan being in the same sentence as Wyness and Wilson though.

Morgan still at killie????

Yeah....sure I saw something on P&B recently where the fans thought he should be offloaded.

Can I just point out that both Barry and Dennis left ICT when the oportunity arose to make more money before they returned to ICT, and while they are both legends at the club for their contribution they did what they were paid to do so I think it's a bit naff to criticise their treatment when they were no longer up to the job.

Disagree with there regarding Wilson who I thought could be of great use.

Morgan certainly was on loan to St Johnstone. Not too sure about his current status.

He was loaned out to St Johnstone who he also cannot get a game for!!

Elvis' decision 'Falkirk' over us, was probably nothing to do with location but more to do with the option of sneaking in to the managers shoes as its common knowledge that John Hugh's would like to manage an English club.

We have a new replacement now anyway.

Pressley is over-rated. He was brutal for Celtic in his final season there and was always a bit creaky for Scotland. Now that we have Mihadjuks we have a bit of cover - perhaps we'd have been better with experience in Pressley but that ship has now sailed.

Not massively fussed about Pressley tbh, he would have lasted 1 season at best and would probably require a massive wage

Just hope that the Latvian is up to the challenge

It was pretty obvious when we signed Mijadjuks that we'd lost out on our bid to sign Pressley.

Think the continued presence of Brewster probably had more to do with it....not that Pressley would not work under him, but that the sweetener to bring him North was the thought of a chance to get into a new management team.

Anyone, Elvis is dead, time to move on.

As a footnote to this, Pressley has now said in an interview that:

- the interest from Switzerland was FC Vaduz (actually in Liechtenstein). This was his preferred move but it then fell through.

- he then chose Falkirk over us simply because of geography. He didn't want to commit to spending 3 nights a week up north.

Take note, people who say that our location is not a deterrent to attracting players.

Is there a link to this interview. I've always found him to be an interesting commentator.
