Stuart Duff

As the title suggests.

Not sure what this means though...? Loan? January signing on a free?

Terrible in defence, has his good moments in midfield. Wouldn't be disappointed with the signing, wouldn't be overly excited by it either.

I've never seen him play in midfield, but if he's being signed for defence, I will not be happy. A truely awful defender.

I very much doubt we'll be seeing him play for ICT

Awful awful player. WTF we playing at!

He is up visiting his grannie and went in to see some of his pals, maybe!

Just reporting what i've heard from a current ICT player. He is at the stadium today. Take from that what you will...

Much as I'd agree he's a terrible defender, he's also a class act in midfield. Easily better than anyone we've got in that position. I'm surprised McGhee doesn't rate him (although that might be 'coz he keeps playing an attack-minded player in defence)

Oh dear God! Must be desparate for players if we've signed him.

see we have signed stuart duff on loan for a month.

what does everyone think? its on on the dons website

Theres already a thread... yess its in rumour mill but it can be easily moved...

*cue SPECKY to come in and sign "going down going down going down"*

Can't say I am too impressed with this. Maybe just emergency cover for a combination of injuries and suspensions?

Puzzled by the logic in this signing unless Aberdeen offered him to us for nothing

Could we see him making a start tomorrow?

Maybe the experience we require to help Cox ripen in the middle of the park, and with Duncan out for tomorrow, maybe not such a bad idea.

I would hope so as he does not shine in the Aberdeen team but there again they are SPL so maybe he will be OK with us.

I always think of him as lacking anticipation but good and industrious, on the ball. You know the type of thing, when a ball is played out to him but he has stopped his run and both he and the passer of the ball look prats.

However his distribution and running with the ball are good.

Interesting signing.

Lets see how he gets on then...hope he does a good job for us.

This should be moved out of the rumour mill now, shoudln't it?

Im happy with this tbh. Hes good enough in Midfield to get in our team. I feel with Tokely out, Proctor will be RB with Duff in Midfield.

That would make sense.

What I would really like is for us to sign a coupld of defenders. In an ideal, Abramovich-buys-Caley World we'd buy a couple of new full backs and a Pavels style centre half.

I wonder if a certain striker may be going the other direction for a month as we are a bit top heavy in that dept, Aberdeen aren't scoring many goals and Barrowman impressed in the first game of the season against the dons.

Aye cos the midfielders we have are really much better than him like

other than "emergency goalkeepers", SPL clubs cant bring players in on loan outside the transfer window as far as I know.

He has scored against celtic

I really don't see the harm in taking him in on a months loan, if he does well great and maybe we will try to extend the loan, if not he will go back.

He has scored against celtic

Wow that's hilarious....

Anyway, I'm led to believe it'll be the same back line again tomorrow, so this bloke will probably be at right midfield. Can't say I know much about him, but what emergency has taken place so an emergency loan has been brought in?

On the whole though, it's not really in the midfield that players are needed just, ICT are crying out for a decent centre half to challenge Bulvitis and Munro.
