Kelty/ Is this a joke - merged thread

Club Statement
As one major part of our planned strategic restructure of the club, ICTFC are delighted to announce an innovative agreement with League 1 side Kelty Hearts which will see the club move our training base to the Fife club’s New Central Park Stadium.
This creative partnership will mean that we will hire their excellent facilities which include a 3g pitch, onsite grass pitches and offices for our coaching staff, as our training base during the week starting from this coming pre-season in June.
The last few years have seen the geographic challenges in getting players to move to the Highlands become ever harder for a number of reasons.
Caledonian Stadium will always be our home, but other factors in Scottish football have changed and where we train should not be an impediment to the quality of the players we can attract to Caley Thistle, or to our potential to progress.
The commercial success of the city of Inverness – which will always be our home - both as a tourist destination and a place to live, has led to very high prices for the accommodation we require to house players. In addition to these high costs which our competitors do not carry, the extremely limited housing stock in Inverness continues to be both a challenge and a huge factor working against us.
Increased playing budgets in and around the central belt has meant that on many occasions, even when we have offered players more favourable terms than our competitors, sometimes even agreed deals, we have then been told that the player has changed his mind due to challenges relocating their families. Support structures in and around the families of players may all be in and around the central belt, partners will have jobs where they live and moving kids schools to the Highlands and moving home itself can just be seen as impractical for a one or two year contract.
It makes it particularly challenging for us to sign senior players, a category which through no fault of our budget, or of previous ICT Managers, we have struggled to attract in the last few seasons.
Similarly, our location means that we miss out on the opportunity of signing promising players from the larger clubs in Scotland, on loan or otherwise.
For the avoidance of any doubt we absolutely intend to continue to develop our own homegrown Highland boys and we will take the appropriate steps to make sure that by being creative, innovative and practical, they do not miss out on the chance to have a pathway to first team football with their team. We have a proud tradition of introducing local players in to our first team and this will absolutely continue.
We obviously never intended to be in the same division as Kelty when originally exploring this concept, but football throws strange things at you sometimes and having reassessed the proposition and judged that the pros still far outweigh the cons, we would like to thank the Board of Kelty Hearts and MD Stefan Winiarski and his management team for considering this unique to the SPFL partnership, and then seeing and agreeing on the possibilities and benefits for both clubs.
To reiterate, by moving our footballing department's training base to central Scotland, both the club's Board of Directors and the club's First Team Management feel we give ourselves the best possible chance to attract the highest quality players to the club, allowing some of the players we sign to also live in and around the central belt while playing for ICTFC.
We now look forward to taking further positive strides on and off the pitch to address the football and financial challenges we face we believe this exciting opportunity to help us attract players previously not available to us and build a better squad, is one of the first steps we can make and we hope to develop further innovative partnerships.
Inverness is and will always be our home.
The Caledonian Stadium will always be where we play our football. We hope this venture will help us achieve our goal in giving our supporters a team to be proud of.

Gardiner has resigned and will be leaving the club.  He will need to find work elsewhere

And may god have mercy on the poor sods that bring him on board

Pretty sure a few of the directors will be off to Germany right now. If that's the case, the future of the club is decided,  or they don't care too much. 🤷

Another dereliction of duty to add to the list.

Wee birdie tells me there was a meeting earlier and announcement imminent,  Administration avoided maybe?

Has your carrier pigeon got lost? Maybe lost its coordination when flying over a battery farm and started heading for Kelty? If it has a tracking chip it would be good to know if and when we can expect it home!

I bet they release a statement confirming administration after the game has kicked off tonight.

Yep,  been a letdown,  lost direction I fear, last seen heading towards Dingwall.

Anybody actually been to the stadium recently? Are the lights still on, is there anybody at home? My goodness we don't even get updates about the club shop opening hours any longer..... 😱

Don't know about the stadium. But the grass has been cut at Fort George, so looks like they're gearing up for pre-season. Just need some players now.

Just received an email re Season Tickets. Can't imagine a major rush pending clarification what is happening!

Kelty topic has been resolved, can you post season ticket comments on season ticket topic please. (easy for you to say 😂)

Other relevant comments can still go on here about ongoing issues, Gardiner, Morrison etc...

Cheers

Unless you know this for a fact, stupid pointless comment. There are too many snide comments like this being made on here without any substance behind them. Even if directors were going to Germany,  this would have to have been planned months ago before all this happened.

Rough count and I mean rough but nearly 1000 season tickets sold already generating nearly 200k into the club personally I've ordered 4 shirts today and renewed the season ticket. Now is the time to back the team if your able to

I'd be amazed if that figure is true already

Yes I know season ticket holders are holding off for now waiting for SG to depart the building.  If they give us his last date we could all go down an wish him well for the future :hiding:

They won't. I contacted the SLO and was told that they can't comment in individual contracts. So pretty much the usual from the club. No answer, you'll find out (probably in the press) when it happens.

Shame because even if for example there were assurances he would be gone before the end of the month I would probably just renew before I end up spending the money on something else.

Season ticket sales were steady but nowhere near that figure.  A lot holding fire on renewing until certain things have been sorted.

I really struggled between holding out till SG was gone or buying my season ticket so the club has cash flow to pay wages for the staff etc.

I decided it was more important to buy my season ticket and trust the directors when they say that SG is working his notice and will be gone at some point.  The sooner the better.

It's a gamble.  But after a few weeks of not knowing whether I had a club to support next season, I decided to take the leap of faith.  Let's hope I'm not let down by the club.

Calling BS on that response.

If they can't comment on individual contracts then they wouldn't have told us he had resigned.  They also wouldn't be able to tell us how long players/managers had signed for etc.

Just leaves the feeling that they don't want to tell us as he has a long notice period and isn't going anywhere soon.

Quick look on the stadium availability when purchasing a ST online and a quick count will show that its roughly 1000 and counting.  Enough of the doom and gloom and back ur team .

Seats for existing season ticket holders are reserved. They will not show as available. It does not mean tickets have yet been purchased for those seats.

That will be due to them holding seats for last years ST holders.

If it's only 1000 then the claim of 1500 ST holders last season seems to have been an exaggeration.

Ah I'm with you . You would like to think folk would now support the club and buy there tickets.  SG will have a month's notice for every year here's been in position so he's here until a minimum of August.

Then I'll be buying my tickets in August. Assuming my seats are still available. Again folk are all guessing because the club, shock horror refuses to give any information.

If his notice period was, say, 3 months - which someone here said would be short for a CEO - then 3 months from 30th May would be 30th August....

So just I've got this straight..instead of supporting your team in its hour of need your gonna wait until August all because one man's working his notice ...

Not only does the players whoever they end up being but also the management team need the support to ensure that they have a fair crk of the whip . The club needs the supporters to step up and be counted
