First time poster guys - just seeing what's already out there in terms of the fans putting additional resources into the club . Having read through the forum a lot of people would be willing to buy season tickets and merchandise which is great . Unfortunately that's not going to be enough to keep the vultures at bay so just seeing if there are any fans initiatives already on the go which would put additional cash into the club . Much like what Hearts done in there time of need and Rangers with there fund . Just trying to think of a way to help .

I think we can all agree on one thing and that is that there needs to be communication from the club and the supporters trust on what the way forward looks like.

Just out of curiosity, how much do you feel in actual £s, as you put it, do you feel is a reasonable amount for each fan to put in?

I only ask as most fans probably can't afford the sums needed and if buying a season ticket and say a first team strip isn't enough, where does it stop? If I'm buying both the above then I reckon the £350-£450 it would cost is quite an undertake for a normal fan. I for one could afford it, if I wanted to, but there's an awful lot that would feel it's a lot and couldn't.

My point being, that every extra £ put into the club by any fan, is a £ that the club wouldn't already have and is very welcomed. Everything counts.

Fans are well entitled to voice their opinion and speak out, it doesn't mean it signs them into a contract to spend money. Everyone is well within their right to step back and wait to see what happens in the very near future before spending anything especially having seen what the club has done in the past with the money fans have put into the club in one form or other.

I fully understand,I have been looking at the forum for a while before registering an account .. some forums are nonsense and not worthwhile so certainly I have seen some comments on various posts across the year .

 

To your point about what amount .. that will be dictated by what the club needs to go forward , I appreciate that everyone has a threshold in terms of what they can put in . I am not saying people should be putting themselves into debt to help the club . My point was that the season ticket money and merch money only kicks the can down the road and buys some time,the club needs its fans , for example how many fans went to the cup final last year ? 8k maybe if half of that commits £50 that's 200k .. there is ways to raise money from the fans . There needs to be a sustainable business model which will ensure that there is a club to support going forward and the fans have a massive part to play here.  As I said before the fans wanted dodds sacked it happened the fans wanted robbo gone it happened the fans wanted Kelty move reversed it happened the fans wanted morrison out it happened the fans wanted Gardiner gone it's in the process .. time for the fans to back the club here and it needs to sustainable investment outwith season tickets .. either that or more than 1000 folk need to buy season tickets . The attendance figures attending matches is very poor and has been since relegation from spl . Yes the product on the park isn't great but that's what it is with the resources the clubs got . Time to back the club 

Maybe a couple of the 777 Partners who backed out of buying Everton this week might stick a few £K behind us! Maybe that’s what DF is currently up to. After all his instructions from Ross Morrison were indeed to go and find any backers/ players/ Help!

Closer to home, there is a multi-millionaire who has close connections to the club and owes his success to it. Not saying that he has a duty to step in and help, but it would be much appreciated if he did!

There's certainly enough doughnuts at the club but I wouldn't necessarily trust throwing hundreds and thousands at them 🤪

Any news on potential new investors? It’s wonderful that Savage is funding the youth academy but if we don’t have a first team I can’t see how the youth academy is relevant. 

The club have been investing all the season ticket and merchandise income in lottery tickets and scratch cards.  No win yet, but they're confident it's just a matter of time and are asking the fans to remain patient.

I believe that we're banking on a monorail to be built between the stadium and Kelty which will solve all our woes (optional stop may be built at North Haverbrook) 👍

New investors now know there is a £588k loss last year to contend with. Not exactly a going concern, but that;s what you get with mismanagement...

But knock off £100k (if the rumours are true) for Gardiner, understand the reduced wage bill and accommodation costs, revitalise sponsorship and fan engagement, and suddenly the gap has closed a bit.

Yes, it would still be a loss, but take away the legacy of past bad management and it becomes a less daunting proposition.

So the attraction for any investor is a ‘new membership’ fee of 2.2 M gbp before you can take a seat and start paying for DF and the rest of the club running costs. 
Not quite an attractive prospect for any serious business or investor. Some ropey and uncertain months ahead I think. Again it has to be said SG presence remains a clear obstacle in the future dealings imho.

It all really depends on whether those relevant parties insist on receiving what they are owed, either upon any investment taking place or at some point down the line (eg conditional on Battery Farm approval).

I still think there is a deal that can be done.

Given that Ross Morrison put charges in place I have serious concerns that he has any intention of writing off what he is owed.

Need to also keep in mind that this is the financial position from over a year ago and it required £1.3 million in loans to see us through the 2022/23 season.  That £2.1 million figure could easily be nearer £3.5 million (coincidence that this is what the battery farm would have brought in?) today if the same was required for 2023/24.

A new investor looking for a majority share of even 50% would need over £4 million (£12 million if they want 75%).  Deduct director loans and there's not much left to be doing anything with.

Even the auditors have said again that there's serious doubt that we are a going concern.

Given the tone of his previous interviews it seems he feels the fans turned on him and didn't appreciate the gravity of the financial crutch he was providing, so I'd expect he wants back now whatever he can. He's already seen as a villan along with Scot Gardiner rather than hero so why stop any attempts to recoup as it'll not change perception and if the club falls it substantiate his previous points.
