I am really starting to believe that brewster simply is not cut out to be a manager. I have seen nothing this season to suggest he can motivate players, is team selections are mind boggling and his lack of tactics are embarrassing.

I heard his post match interview and yet again he said he thought we played well in parts. No we didn't we were 5hit. It took us 40 minutes to have a shot at goal.

In his interview he described Ross tokely as making a disgraceful challenge and letting himself and his team mates down. Methinks he is looking for a scapegoat.

The lad sayt next to me said at half time "i'd take Bayne off before he gets sent off"

Yet again i watched from the stand as Brewster stood watching his team fall apart and no nothing about it. Again he leaves Niculae on the bench, again Wyness fails to score. Again MacDonald left on the bench, again we played dreadful long ball football.

I have only left 2 ict matches before full time in my life, and both have been in the last week. (against dons in cup).

I am seriously worried about where Brewster is taking this club and that supporters are loosing patience. Today one of the chants from the North stand made things plain and simple -"Brewster, your a wa nker".

At least in previous games we have lost due to errors but played some very good passing football, but the last few games have been dreadful to watch.

If I was a gambler, i would be tempted to put money on Brewster being the 1st manager that ICT have sacked. (Or maybe second if baltacha was sacked! Can't remember!"

When Brewster arrived things looked to be on the up despite fears surrounding his managerial ability.  He started getting the team fit again and we have rarely played finer football than what was witnessed at Easter Road.

However, things seem to have gone drastically downhill in the last month (with the exception of the Gretna game).  We've still got the same players, the same manager and are playing the same teams...so what's happened to send things into freefall?

With regards to the playing side, we've had rumours of others at the club interfering with team selection, fallouts due to clashes of ego, players refusing to travel home on the team bus, players leaving before full time when subbed (or being subbed after leaving), bust ups during training etc etc.

Alram bells started ringing for me this week when I read an article in the P&J where Brewster was quoted as saying he hadn't even thought about the January Transfer window yet.

Either by design or default, Brewster does not seem to be in control of the players...which begs the question...who is?

I have always been concerned about Brewsters style play - punt it up the park!

Yesterday proved that his policy is not working.

He did make a mistake by not substituting Bayne at half time but  the Tokely punch was an absolute disgraceand he needs to be disciplined by the club as well as the SFA.

Starting to have serious doubts over Brewster, anyone with half a brain could see that Graham Bayne would pick up another yellow, he needed to be substituted at half time. He's a physical player, thats just his game, tell him to watch himself and he cant do what he does best. Crazy decision and for me, thats what has cost us this game. Niculae looked great when he came on, had he been on at HT I reckon we could have still won that game.

So frustrating.

When Brewster took over we were bottom of the league and had ZERO points. Charlie Christie is responsible for how mince we are this season. While there are still woeful fluctuations in our perfomance levels - at least we've started to hit some peaks as well as troughs. Under Christie we were on a downward spiral. Now we're on a rollercoaster. Thats a step forward. I wish the Brew knockers would apply some perspective to matters.

This, after all is CC's team, all Brew can do is work on fitness/tactics and motivate the players.

I do have a problem with his use of Bayne/Wyness up front, it is rubbish, how i wish he could see it.

agree with the 2 points above, brew came in with little time before the close of the window, got proc back (everyone seems happy with him), got McGuire in (far better than caff) and signed zibi (made fraser feel better about himself), on the whole he has improved the squad. i think around march we'll know how well brewsters done, its a sad situation but gretna probably will keep us up this year, give brew a chance to improve the squad further and i think we'l be ok

We seemed to get a bit of a lift when Brewster was first appointed but that's very common in any managerial change with players keen to impress the new man and other factors.

I had great concerns about Brewster's appontment and nothing has happened since to dispel these. He may be a motivator but he's a poor tactitcian and his ( non) use of tactical substitutions when it's clear to everyone else in the stadium that something needs to be done is an increasing worry.

The saving grace this season is that we are unlikely to fall below Gretna who are well short of SPL standard and who have internal strife that makes any problems  at the TCS seem like a fleeting domestic tiff.

For that reason Brewster has a little more time to get things right but if things are not appreciably better by March then I'm afrais he'll have to go so that the new man has time to prepare for the new season when we will not have the luxury of Gretna acting as a buffer between us and the first division.

If Craig is to save his job then he must secure a dependable central defender during the January transfer window.

His lack of vision, poor tactics and reluctance to sub were features during Brew's first shift with us - probably the main reasons so many us were voicing concerns about his return. I was one of the doubters, however, his early moves to strengthen the squad and some great performances got me thinking he may turn it around.

The last few games would make it all too easy to spout the 'I told you so...' stuff but it really is too early for that. I'll give the guy a chance to make more of his mark after the January window and if it is still going down the pan come March then 'I told you so...'

Unless the conspiracy theories of Mr PP and CaleyD are true, we?ll have to take stock at the end of the season or if / when Gretna start winning.

When you look at other sports, snooker or tennis or golf for instance to win a trophy you need a high level of consistency and the higher the level you play at, you look for consistent perfection. 

We have players who are very skilled and more than a match for any team but it is the inconsistent moments that punish us.

When Brewster arrived he only had a couple of days to strengthen up the squad during the transfer window.I say give him a chance and wait and see from January onwards.

As a manager do you publicly slag off your team and not talk to your players like Calderwood or do you look for positives to try and lift the players like Hughes.

It was obvious that the bias ref was gunning for Bayne and to see him back on after half time was surprising I overheard someone say that he is two challenges from a sending off, unfortunately he was right. 

It was good to see the spirit and the determination back in the team when down to 9 men I hope this can be carried on to the St Mirren match, should be a good game, with Mcguire,Proctor and Niculae in the starting 11.

I think that what went on before Brewster returned has lot to do with what is happening now.  Dods and Brown were never replaced with decent reliable players when Charlie was still in charge.  Now the January transfer window can't come quickly enough.  It is clear we need an organiser at the back - Pressley on loan from Celtic would have been ideal and we could have had him in August.  Grant Munro is lost without someone of that experience. Steven Watt is young has had too many injuries. Caff had too long out of the team to take over.  The disorganisation at the first goal yesterday was obvious. 

Brewster is not entirely blameless though.  Malkowski was a bit of a panic signing and came to us with a dodgy reputation.  The switching between him and Fraser has not helped.

I agree that Bayne should have been hooked at half time.  Bayne was clumsy and was never going to get any favours off that ref. Niculae should have been brought on to play alongside Wyness and work the ball on the ground.  We were also outnumbered in midfield almost from the kick off yesterday but Brewster failed to counter that. Taking Black off (unless he was injured) was not the answer.  The continuous hoofing of high balls up for knock downs showed lack of imagination and is boring to watch unless Brewster himself is prepared to risk his shoulder and play. Tactics need to change or we are going to get turned over every week.

I think history is repeating itself, with us becoming the Dundee United when Brewster took over.  I think he was really found out at United, he didn't have a clue how to turn things round and more fool our board for thinking things would be different with us. 

Yes Brewster was relativley successful with us first time round but that was because he inherited a decent squad, we may not have been high up the table at the time but the foundations were there.  At United he inherited a disfunctional, disorganised squad where no one really knew what was going on.  He wasn't a good enough manager to see what was wrong and be able to change it, in the end he was sacked and a real manager came in.  Levin has turned that club around without changing too many of the squad. 

This season we are that disfunctional, disorganised squad and once again Brewster's lack of managerial ability is highly obvious, he doens't have the talent and know how to turn this around, we need him out sooner rather than later because we will be scrapping at the bottom for the rest of the season if not.  Gretna have the means to strengthen in the January window and we don't, well not to the same extent they do.  If something doesn't happen soon I really think we'll be playing Division 1 football next season.

I have a feeling his shoulder will be better soon, for some strange reason and he will play against ST. Mirren.

Said in the paper Brewster isn't seeing specialist till 22nd so I doubt he would be available for St Mirren game.

He should get his shouler sorted now and if we are still in a relegation dog fight come March/April he'd then offer us another striking option

Rubbish to all his support.  He knows f all about tactics.  He took a bigger club than us to the bottom of the league and the board still made the ridiculous decision to take him back.  This is the same board that hung CC out to dry.  Do you really think a manager would not replace his biggest 3 players?  At least with CC we got tactics, we got a change of tactics during a game and we got subs when they were needed.  CC may not have been the man for the job either but at least we were giving it a shot and if we got beat it was the odd goal, Rangers excepeted.  Since brew arrived we have had 5-0, 4-1 and 3-0 at home to the mighty Motherwell.  If this is CC' team that Brew has inherited them why was there 10 of the starting 11 still there from Brews first visit?  The only differences I can see (from Saturday) are Cowie, Rankin, Macdonald and Marious who were all taken in by Charlie.  Zibbi, Watt, Mcguire and Proctor taken in by Brewster.  If he has inherited a poor team them he must get strong tactics to make them solid, he aint done and will not do!
