GOOD NEWS ALERT

I am delighted to let you know that Jaimie Duff has had a late call up to the Scotland under 21's. I think he is a bit of a star in the making. I am really pleased for Jaimie, but also for ICT to be recognised in this way.

Very pleased indeed for Jamie. Well done and hopefully the first of many caps.

:rotflmao: :thumb04: :015: :018: ;)

Well done Jaimie it just goes to show that there is young local talent out their! I'm glad Brewster has been brave enough to bleed some of the youngsters this season unlike previous seasons. With young Dale Gillespie another local lad chomping at the bit maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel at last!

Well the least 6that i can say is that is NOt a pice of duff gen

Or is that now such an archaic expression that only those and such as those -- e.g. Jock Watt, CMIB and Charlse Bannerman because he knows a lot of things at an early age....

LOL :rotflmao:

Good news indeed, might have to give it a watch now (think the game is on Sky tomorrow).

Nice one :rotflmao:

I had no idea he was in the squad, as I hadn't been on this site for a few days.

What a shock to see him in the starting line up! Good on him and i'll look forward to watching the rest of the match. 1-0 up by the way :rotflmao:

Hopefully this should act as a spring board to the likes of Vigurs and Wood for getting into the team...

1-2 Mcquoid from a Duff mistake.

He was partly at fault for the first as well :rotflmao:

well done to duff for gatting a call up but didnt have a great game unfortunately, he was at fault for the second goal definitely and possibly the first too.

head up duff.

That's great. Hopefully Vigurs, Wood and Zander will follow.

Vigurs and Wood might but Zander has no chance.

I might be wrong......but it looked like the centre backs had been told to push forward by the coach. Jamie was well up the park much of the time - dodgy tactics against some nippy NI forwards. NI were the better team, and I would emphasise TEAM. I don't think the Scots had much time together prior to the match.

I think we can all be proud, and particularly the boy himself, that he was given the honour of pulling on a Scotland strip. :rotflmao:

Cant have helped the lad that he hasnt played for a couple of weeks, he will only learn from this experience .

not only has he not played in a couple of weeks he hardly had any time to get to no anyone in the under 21 set up, second goal could have been duffs fault, hard to tell, looked to me like the keeper has shouted his ball, come for it and missed, breakdown in communications more than anything else

After that shocker I doubt Jamie will get another call up.

Got to disagree with that statement. Duff has what it takes. He just needs a bit of time to get to know the guys he's playing with. I'm very sure, regardless of any mistakes, he will be in the running again.

Berra gifted us an easy goal at Tynecastle a few years back - last Saturday he was immense.

Jamie is a lad who has come a long way this season. Mistakes make or break you and I suspect he will be much stronger as a result. Great achievement to get a cap.

dodgy tactics

Duff would have felt right at home then :rotflmao:

Chit happens and even the best players in the world make the odd mistake. Duff has proved with us that he's able to take the errors on the chin, learn from them and move on to be the better for it. I hope he gets the chance to do that with the Scottish U21's...at least he won't be sidelined there for "financial" reasons.

Let's hope that he's not discarded from the set up on the basis of a poor 45 minutes. I wonder if the occasion got to him a bit. He's normally much more composed than that.
