  1. Hayes has a rarer talent than Rooney, and surely strikes more fear into opponents than anyone else we've got. And our results without him speak volumes too. Alex, yes its a team game but some players are simply more important than others. That's why we have different wage levels.

  2. So you are saying all Muslims should be under house arrest, because theare a danger to the public by igniting petrol. Then you dont want clubs to speak against the SFA and the SPL , yes lets stop freedom of speach (Naziism Communism) Then you quote a paper (the Sun) where half the stories they write are not true and the other half are just lies

  4. Just arrived back in sneck, good night out in Embra last night, as Mantis says once back on the M8 and the heater going well we all agreed that a draw was ok, and that the game was pretty good despite the weather, Spoke to Ryan Esson tonight and he tells me conditions on the pitch were terrible, high, blustery winds lots of rain and the pitch was mostly mud away from the centre part of the pitch. I thought the game was quite entertaining, both teams went out to try and win it which was fair enough, it was always looking like first goal the winner though. Social club was good craic with Dude managing to entertain us much to the heid barmans chagrin. Highlight of the awayday fans day out must have been Johndo's attempt at standing up at half time and almost succeding in a back flip over two rows of seats ( the seats are now ok), stewards were fine, allowed everyone stand for the whole game and never bothered anyone except dewsbury, who was on a one man annoying mission. As for the game, again almost everbody did well, Shane is no bad but not as a right winger, he was read by the left back and his moves became so predictable he was picked off time after time. dont put him there again Terry... please, the boy tried but he's no got the skill to be a winger. Well impressed with Shinnie, after his struggle to contain Humphrey at TCS he read the wingers plays this time very well and only got clear from the youngster once i think. Ross was also impressive as his feet seemed to adapt to running in mud better than the heavier players, Sandshoes and Eric came on late, but to take Russell off and leave Shane on was a feckin mystery! they really didnt get time to warm up and get involved. Oh how i wished for Foran to slip the ball under the keeper, as said above, it would have been the winner, but i've seen Foran have better games - a lot better, never mind its a clean sheet and Ibrox holds no fear for these guys. MOM, mmmm Ross-just, Ryan was good, Russel did a lot of work off the ball spoiling, Shinnie did well but needs to work a big bit on his ball delivery.

  5. Defo Hayes. Rooney is great and we'll all be gutted to see him go but it will be easier to replace a striker who gets in positions and hits the target most of the time than a fast, skillful creative midfielder. I think both will move onto bigger clubs but i think hayes will go further.

  6. There's a song for Duncan, and Foran has two songs, the left right one, and the Doughnut one.......

  7. It's a hypothetical question, some people should stop taking it so seriously. For the record i think we would miss Hayes more, that has nothing to do with the fact that Adam will probably be leaving us soon, i just think he brings more to the team. That's not to say Adam won't be missed, he is a great striker and will be a tremendous loss to us, i wish he was staying too but he isn't and i wish him well wherever he goes. I don't think anyone is "turning on" Adam Rooney, Hayes himself will probably be moving on to bigger and better things before too long as well, that's just the nature of the game and the team we all follow. All the best Adam and good luck wherever you go.

  8. It would certainly save me a lot of hassle. Due to a story that is too long and complicated to begin recounting, my ticket for Tuesday is currently residing in a tin of Victoria biscuits somewhere in the bowels of Fir Park... I blame Rangers for everything.

  9. Bearing in mind that this game has been brought forward to aid Rangers and with it being such short notice and not likely to be much more than one to two hundred ICT fans would it not be sensible for Rangers to bend backwards a little and sell on the night. Rumour had it yesterday that we have sold no more than 15 tickets so far

  12. With Hayes out just now Rooney is finding it hard to get on the recieving end of some decent balls and IMO thats why he is looking a shadow of his old self. The gap between midfield and attack today was far too great and Rooney was up on his own too often for my liking today.

  13. Mentioning Stuart Golabek and Dennis Wyness in here is just completely ludicrous. Yes they did play with us in 2nd spells having come back to the club and were perhaps past their peak, but at one point in their careers these 2 players have been up there with the best we've had in the SPL for their positions. Totally uncalled for. Garry Wood is my tuppence worth. Consistently frustrated many with his inability to finish chances. So it would be him along with the obvious choices of Barrowman and McGuire.

  15. What I cant fathom is where's the cruelty and neglect. A sleeping child in a car. Is it any different to a sleeping child in another room in the house. I've left a child in the car in the past whilst nipping into a shop. I would think it more cruel to waken it up and drag it around the supermarket.

  16. Phil McGuire i think can get added to that list as well, possibly the worst centre half we have ever had. Morgan was a decent player when he played, he just struggled to stay fit unfortunately.

  17. If I was a manager and looking to sign Rooney I'd also try and get Hayes as they seem to have a very good understanding and you'd get the pair of them for peanuts .

  19. Personally I wont vote for either because no one player can make a team and without a team neither player can perform.

  22. It might be hard on the Glasgow/central belt based away support, but if the SPL and/or Rangers won't reconsider, I think a boycott for this one would be in order.

  23. If the transfer speculation was about Hayes I bet you'd all have voted Rooney though !

  24. As i said in the match thread I'm a Celtic fan, i thought that this would be relevant with yet another honest mistake in Rangers favour yesterday. I know most fans outside of the old firm think that the old firm always get all the decisions but i cant really think of any dodgy decisions that Celtic have benefited from over the last three seasons, now i know that they probably have benefited from some somewhere along the line but i wouldn't have noticed them as im biased in favour of Celtic however i strongly doubt that they or any other club in Scotland have benefited from anywhere near the same amount of blatantly wrong decisions as Rangers have at a time when it has been essential for Rangers very existence that they make the champions league. Now put yourself in the refs shoes, if you supported Rangers and you knew if they didn't get into the champions league they could go bankrupt would you be able to turn down a penalty claim from Rangers or would you find yourself looking for reasons to give them penalties or to chop of goals for the other team? Another thing is aren't refs supposed to be marked down for poor performances and be demoted if they keep performing badly? How then was Dougie Mcdonald allowed to keep on making mistakes in Rangers favour without being demoted? Could people please click on the following link, read the article then post your views on the subject http://top50honestmistakes.blogspot.com/

  25. Go back to our first season when we played Celtic at Aberdeen. I seem to recall a player called Lennon was instrumental in having Juanjo (spelling) sent off for head butting. The TV later showed that there had been NO contact and that Lennon was indeed a cheat. Is he not now doing the same thing by crying foul at every opportunity, both real and imangined! Is he bringing the game into disrepute by his behavour? What should the SFA do? neksor

  26. You want new song then write them and sing them instead of debating them on here.

  27. I think we should have songs for every player in the team, so far the only players I can think of us having a song for are Hayes, Rooney, Esson, Foran, Odhiambo, Tokely, and Cox which leaves quite a few who are "songless". My suggestions would be: For Nick Ross - Nick Ross will tear you apart again to the tune of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart" - http://www.youtube.c...yy1ToI&ob=av3nl For Dani Sanchez (yes it's slightly gay ) - I'm your biggest fan I'll follow you until you love me Dani Sanchez, Dani Sanchez to the tune of Paparazzi by Lady Gaga Any more?
