Does this mean you can now afford a driver who knows how to get back from Paisley?5 points

For those who have not picked up the news from elsewhere yet, we released a statement today explaining that Inverness Caledonian Thistle Supporters Trust and Supporters Club have come together to form a single fan’s organisation which will be known as ‘Caley Jags Together’. The full press release can be read by clicking here.2 points

Anyone who thinks our u19s should be able to roll over a Highland League side needs to go and watch Highland League football.2 points

I have no real desire to be getting into petty squabbles with anyone over the name of the organisation....and I did not say you were not a member of the Supporters Club (or Caley Jags Together for that matter). I have no way of knowing if you are a member or not and had actually assumed you were given your concern over the name, my reference to non-members was merely that their feedback is, as stated, also appreciated. You are never going to please all the people all the time, and it's inevitable that some will like the name better than others. What actually matters is what the organisation does and what it achieves.2 points

I was a season ticket holder until I moved to Spain 5 years ago, and I was one who said would buy a ticket if The management made the correct decision re the Rangers affair. Despite the fact that due to my location I will not be able to make any games I have today purchased a Family Season ticket and I am in discussion with the Club to work out some way of making sure that these seats are allocated to someone different each week (possibly a competition) and hopefully that will encourage some of them to come back2 points

I fully appreciate that there's those who will not have renewed for other reasons...and to be honest, I would have been surprised if we had not seen a dip regardless of the whole Rangers/NewCo fiasco. However, that does not excuse those who made promises which they are not keeping. If people had no intention of renewing, then they should have not have used a promise to do so as a means to put pressure on the club. Some of these people are among those who were accusing the club of being underhand and/or making deals to secure favour with the fans which they would then renege on. As it transpired, the club were true to their word...it's just a pity that the same cannot be said of others. The outcome would very likely have been the same and our position as a club no different than what it is right now, but at least the club would have known not to rely on money promised, which has not been delivered. We're not talking about one or two people here, there's a significant number of people who have done it and that does not reflect well on our fan base. What kind of person sits tight lipped and refuses to own up whilst watching fellow fans attempt to make excuses and give reasons on their behalf where none are merited? There is no excuse....these people are refusing to act with the same integrity that they asked demanded of the club. The last thing we should be doing is trying to defend their embarrassing and shameful (non) actions.2 points

Rather bizarrely the game went straight from full time to penalties with no extra time being played....penalties finished 9-8 (10 taken). Not a bad game all in all and our young lads did well against a very big (physically) Forres team who liked to pack the defence. We controlled the game for large spells, but rode our luck and lost the equaliser towards the end when Forres started to load on the pressure. Ryan Watson got our goal, Gavin Morrison hit the crossbar from a free-kick and Foran should have done better from the rebound which went over the top. Polwarth was also denied by the woodwork when shot across goal came off the upright and rolled along the goal line without going over. As has been the case with all the matches I have seen so far, there were more positives to be taken from the game than negatives and I imagine many of the young lads are going to be pushing for starts this season. From what I saw we also didn't pick up any injuries...which is a blessing!!!1 point

I wouldn't mind if you two were funny. It's just embarrassing, like your dad trying to act cool in front of your mates.1 point

You know something the sodding arrogance in that makes me . How can anyone possibly assume because we have fielded a team of a load of laddies who are still learning (because if they weren't they'd all be in the fecking first team) against a team of mostly adults who have been mostly playing together for ages, we deserve to win just because we are ICT and an SPL team? Away and Support one of the OF, because their fans think they only have to turn up to win as well! Thought ICT fans were better than that.1 point

A predominantly u-19 team against the Highland League champions? Which planet do you think ICT exists on?1 point

It's just a sign of Scottish football when Sky would rather broadcast Rangers v Elgin when they could have Motherwell v Dundee United battling it out for second spot in the SPL. I know full well why they are doing it but it's sad that our game has become so skewed.1 point

Blast and botheration!!!! Was working today and just got on to the computer. I haven't missed these games for years - how come no advance notice. Poor show and very very disappointed.1 point

Almost every team is up or closing in on last years sales, except for us. I don't believe the standard of football argument as the standard is rubbish across the league, we are no exception in that. But still the other clubs sales are going well with their fans getting behind the team when they most need it, again except us! Does anyone know how many season tickets we sold last year? 20% is a massive amount of fans who have given up their tickets and this only seems to be really happening here.1 point

Unbelievable people are trying to do some good for the club and people are complaining about the name. Well done to all involved a sensible move to join these groups together1 point

My forecast, apart from Celtic who are going to get some shocks this season, it is going to be a close run thing for all clubs at both ends of the spectrum. ICT fifth. However fingers crossed in the injury department. Incidentally Oldcaleygirl the King is coming on Wednesday, how right you were!!! Billy Dodds ! ? he knows about as much as that other Crateur that spouts doom and gloom and tells us we need a song. D0on't want to remember his name really, would use up too many brain cells want to keep it positive1 point

While there is no excuse for these actions from nothing more than mindless morons, however I am told that Novo does nothing to help himself with tweets trying to wind up these morons, not the cleverest of things to do from someone that has experienced the "goldfish bowl" that is Glasgow.1 point

I'm sure they probably would though it would a) kinda depend on where you are and if the phones were working b) kinda depend on the cost.....as in if you only have a mobile phone and no land line, or are living in Outer Mongolia. c) kinda depend if you had sod all to do all day or not...like work..between the opening hours of the place selling the tickets which appears to be the opening hours of the vast majority of businesses in the UK. d) kinda depend if you have an all day free package with your phone company or not.....because I don't and will absolutely not phone anyone before 7pm unless forced to (I've found I can whine quite adequately by email)..because 99% of the time I get the "we can't be arsed talking to you just now, but we might get round to you when we feel like it" muzak, which costs me a small fortune for the privilege of boaking at the really bad music choices made by others. e) kinda depend if you are inclined to go to the effort of looking for another way to do it. A spur of the moment decision rather requires an immediate easy option to follow through...otherwise you might think about it and having thunk, change your mind and not bother.1 point

Yes Alex, phones do sometimes have signal, but i was just making a point that the club could make it easier for people to buy tickets. If it was easier to buy the tickets then maybe more people would buy them, along with some merchandise. I dont think it unreasonable for a club in the SPL to be able to sell tickets online or open their shop on a Saturday. This thread is about why sales are down and I was only offering a reason for this.1 point
-
I would like to offer another reason as to why season ticket sales may be down. It can be difficult to buy one! A guy I work with went to buy one on Saturday morning, but the club shop was shut. It's only open Monday - Friday until 5.30. The shop only opens on Saturdays when a match is on. Also, when he went to buy it online he was unable to do so. Explanation for this is confusing, but something to do with once the fixtures have been released then they can't sell them online. We work until 6 or 7 every evening, miles away from Inverness which makes visiting the shop impossible. If the club made it easier to buy a season ticket, then perhaps more people would have.1 point

It is the loss or lack of the "togetherness" factor. There are no real "characters" in the team - in fact there are few who have shown the genuine "heart" for the shirt. The manner of performances and particularly the inane excuses after games added to the loss of faith. The majority of us have given all concerned another chance, the minority have decided that it aint worth waiting around.1 point

I wrote to the club about the newco situation and renewed my season ticket shortly after the club announced their stance. I wouldn't like to have not putting my money where my mouth was on my conscience. I know that I will struggle to get to enough games to justify it this year (although I will try) due to being away at uni and working most weekends. Last week I was speaking to someone who had a season ticket from the beginning who had not renewed due to the direction he felt the club had gone. My personal thoughts are that you need to give fans something to get behind. Be it a player, a cup run, attractive football etc. We have been terrible in the cups since joining the SPL. Granted being drawn against Celtic in a number of competitions does not help but trips to Hampden or even quarter finals are a great occasion for fans. Success like this builds a buzz around the club. I was lucky enough to be at the Scottish Cup semi against Dunfermline in 2004. It was the start of my love affair with the club. Enough has been said about the style of football being played. Teams like St Mirren and Killie played decent football last season, why can't we? We were lucky enough to have a team sheet full of players who had been at the club a while. Who our support recognised and could identify with. Now we seem to be filling our squads with players who nobody had heard of and fans can not identy with. These players do not stay long. Other teams in the SPL at a similar level to us are finding players from the lower leagues in Scotland who I refuse to believe are damanding higher wages than our boys from accross the border. Am I right in saying Mackay-Steven was on about £200 a week at Airdrie? How are fans supposed to care about a team when the squad changes nearly every season? It wouldn't be fair to write off Butcher's signings this summer as they have not played a competitive game yet. I do wonder what we will be saying in a few months time. I fear the way the club are doing things at the moment could create a downward spiral. The positive seems to be the youth coming through. Heres hoping they can put in good performances and inspire people to come back or just as importantly stick around.1 point

People are sick to death of having to watch this long ball/hoof and hope garbage that was served up last season, played with signings who have no connection to the fans, the club or the area and look (and in many cases do) jump at the first chance to leave as soon as it arises (Tansey, Aldred and Davis being some prime examples, and in the case of Tansey and others, they are signings which are simply not good enough). I've heard of quite a few people who aren't renewing, and these are the reasons given every time, with the style of football being the one constant factor.1 point

On the bright side with so many teams not looking great we could capitalise and finish top 6. Don't eat me. Just Vomiting rainbows as usual.1 point

Hmmmmm i come in peace and my club and fellow supprters get called "a feckin circus full of wild animals and clowns" Friendliest fans you'l ever meet in any league,we may be small and few in numbers but we make up for it in passion IHE is an acquired taste. Every forum has at least one who thinks rude snide remarks equate to a joke, as long as a Lol smilie is appended....and who sits back and waits for a bite...which he usually gets.1 point
