The only people who should be embarrassed are the "fans" who have chosen to turn their back on the team.4 points

Some interesting debate on this but the bottom line is that refereeing performances are getting worse, not just in Scotland, but nothing seems to be done to discipline or improve the referees. I think managers should have the right to comment on referee's performance as it can have a huge impact on games. The referee yesterday was hopeless, easily the worst I have seen at home this season but fortunately we won so not much comment on this from posters. Despite a very very poor performance, he walks off the park smiling, pockets more than a lot of the players and faces no comeback on his many poor decisions. Something has to be done on the standard of refereeing otherwise most managers will be sent to the stand.3 points

Huge game on Friday - we all know that. There will be a large support for County. We all know the south stand will be swathed in gadjicoff. Shame they'll be crying at the end of the game when I.C.T gain another three points, following up three today V United.Hopefully there will also be a large, vociferous I.C.T support. In an attempt to make the home support as large as possible I am hereby urging ALL I.C.T supporters to bring a mate. Perhaps someone who has attended games in the past but has lapsed recently or someone who likes the idea of having after game pints - anyone and everyone who has an I.C.T connection however slim. BRING A MATE TO CELEBRATE!2 points

Great to hear that you're both "doing your bit" ferben94 and caleycalum. I've persuade 2 lapsed attenders to go along. Hopefully many others will do the same!2 points

one of the best performances ive seen at tcs. the midfeild pairing of draper and morrison was out standing. i think drapers the most combatitive midfeilder ive seen and morison just took on the duncan role, he was neat and tidy and didnt put a foot wrong freeing the rest of the team up to play. andy shinnie was fantastic in the second half, as soon as they took ritchie ryan off who seemed to have the task of man marking him he ran riot. he won about 5 free kicks in the build up to his goal, then followed the ball in to get on the end of uniteds mistake. phillip roberts looks as near to the complete article for a winger weve had in a long time. great cross, great finish and a great work ethic and doran ran them riot on the right. but foran up front was the best ive seen him play at spl level at least, can he be beaten in the air, i thought dundee utd would have to put jon daly at the back to compete with him at one stage. you think hes to far away then two huge strides and a giant leap and hes there, its quite something to behold should probably send tourist to fort george to see it in training through the week have a wee viewing galery. gary warren is for me the best centre half weve had since darren dods, totally compsed but also totally reliable, havnt been able to flaw him yet. josh meekings had no problems at all and david raven hardly seen a pair of heels all afternoon. the only downside to this game was esson gettiing injured in the warm up, i think its a recurrence of what he suffered last season in the warm up against aberdeen. it was pretty routine he was practising his kicking and on the last one he pulled up, he knew that was it and was clearly devestated but it was great to see foran go over and console him the whole team handled it brilliantly. bring on the county, cant fecking wait!2 points

I think a wee mention should go to Luke for keeping the faith and at last getting his just rewards, having fought off the keyboard negative attacks almost single handed!!2 points

So delighted Roberts started today. I think he's the best reader of the game since we had (the mercenary) Marius Niculae was at the club. The hospitality in the Kingsmills today was top notch - highly recommend it. It was entertaining being in the main stand today - I think I spent about 25% of the time watching Terry screaming orders at the players. We're really lucky to support such a great club. Truly the pride of the north.2 points

That was about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on. To be honest, I thought that Utd were the better team in the first half an hour, but after we took the lead they absolutely collapsed and we played them off the park. There were some quality goals there too. Foran's first was a glorious finish, curled first-time into the top corner. His second was a smashing header as well, set up by a quality cross from Roberts. There was an element of Keystone Cops about the third, from Andy Shinnie, but for me the fourth was the best of the lot. All Roberts' strike needed was Alan Partridge screaming "He must have a foot like a traction engine!" It nearly took the net off. An excellent performance from back to front. Foran led the line brilliantly and Doran, Roberts and Shinnie were all excellent. Roberts, like David Davis last year, has a technique and skill level far ahead of anyone else; once he gets fully fit (he looked knackered even at half time) then we might see some fireworks! Draper was superb again. Morrison has an element of Russell Duncan about him - he doesn't seem to do much but we look more solid with him in front of the defence. The back four dealt with Daly and Russell well. I'm not sure Meekings put a foot wrong all day. Given the criticism that has come his way this season, Raven's good performance deserves mention too. I assume Esson was injured in the warmup? Reguero is a bit unorthodox but he made some decent saves and his distribution was great. Aside from another useless referee, no complaints from me at all. It's a long time since I've enjoyed a ICT game this much. Bring on the County!2 points

A couple of questions to ponder 1 Do you think Edinburgh would fully embrace a merged Hibs/Hearts side? 2 Do you think Dundee would fully embrace a merged Dundee/Utd side? I deliberately never included the old firm because that would be too ridiculous to even consider No matter where you go in the world the answer is the same The city of Inverness may well fully support ICT at some point in the future but it won't be in our generation sadly Dougal Bring back the red dots!1 point

Unfortunately it's just another example of how this City fails to support ICT. I still remember when the landlords and restaurant owners etc were crying to the papers the year we got relegated about how it would reduce their income...yet they do nowt to help the club..and in turn themselves.1 point

What a fecking game. Cant remember when the team looked so solid as a unit. Roberts was amazing, Foran was just outstanding MOTM, Reguero did great coming in so late. Shame for esson missing out though. Any news on him??? Forans goal has to be goal of the month. Alot of people sitting around me were giving Raven abit of stick thought he played really well. Maybe a few dodge long balls but apart from that i would give him 9 out of 10. Wish the fans made a wee bit more noise than they did. Never really heard them till the goals started coming. Good to see Morrison finally getting a start, Would like to see a few more of them BRING ON THE GYPOS!!!!1 point

What kind of source is this? A good one like a club official or someone in the press or your father's long lost cousin's best friend's aunt's butler?1 point

Fab game yesterday. All four of the defence high fived each other before the game and the shooting pre match was superb, they've been practicing I reckon! Roberts was class, foran was incredible and great to see young Morrison doing well. Same 11 in the same formation next Friday please!1 point

Absolute gash, shoulda scored 5...Butcher out!!! Now in all seriousness that is the best performance i have seen from an ICT side in years. 3 out of the 4 goals were crackers (the other just being hilarious). Flow of play was good too. I knew Dundee Utd werent playing well but the quality of opposition could not be forgotten but for all the big names they had they showed next to nothing what they were capable of. At 2-0 it was a big test but we never looked like losing our way. Foran played his best game in years. 2 fantastic goals and a great assist for the 4th goal. Has really got back to his best. Doran should have scored but worked his socks off and still gave a credible display. Andy Shinnie was brilliant in the 2nd half and was in the right place for the 3rd goal. Defence looked solid enough after a shaky start and rarely looked troubled. Phillip Roberts deserves a special mention. Got thrown in at the deep end with a start against one of the "better" teams in the league but he showed signs of being a quality player. He has pace, skill and a proper work rate and his goal was world class. Has immense potential. Reguero as well. A bit off the wall as a goalkeeper but he made a coupld of good saves and showed good handling. So pleased for the lads to pick up their first win of the season. Much deserved and been a long time in coming. Bring on the County next week!!1 point

The issue is not about whether Terry was right or wrong, it's about the fact that he chose to be critical of the refs performance....in short, he gave his opinion. Right, wrong or indifferent, everyone is entitled to an opinion and so long as the SFA/SPL etc insist on having the press stick mics/cameras in the faces of managers and players immediately after a game then they have to accept that these people will not have had the chance to look at video evidence etc and can only base their opinion on what they believe they witnessed at the time....will deliver that opinion in the heat of the moment and not always in measured fashion. Refs need to accept that criticism comes with the territory....and they are well paid for the jobs they do. Perhaps if they spent more time ironing out their own faults instead of running around moaning when people choose to criticise them then it they wouldn't get criticised so much and everyone would be a winner.1 point

I am firmly in the "don't know" camp and I am looking forward to trying to tease out the genuine arguments from the nonsense spouted by those of both sides who hold strong opinions. One of the major bits of nonsense is the view Charles repeats above that the SNP is a one issue party and if they gain independence they will no longer have a reason to exist. Of course they are just as much a legitimate party as any other. Their political philosophy is very clear to most voters and a lot of people like what they say and do and have voted them back into office despite not being in favour of independence. MSPs, Councillors and activists of the SNP care very much for Scotland. They obviously believe that the interests of the Scottish people are best served through independence but it is complete nonsense to suggest if they won independence they would all of a sudden have no interest in implementing the policies that the voters find attractive now. In fact, the opposite will be the case. Without the constraints of the Westminster Parliament an independent Scottish Government would be better able to implement the policies voted for by people in Scotland. Rather than there being no need for the SNP some might argue that the raison d'etre of voting for independence would be so that the country could benefit from the political and social manifesto offered by the SNP. Charles, you'll have to do better than that. With arguments like that my pen is veering towards the "yes" box.1 point

How many of you people who are so worried about it bothered to phone or contact the club directly to find out if tickets were on sale before now? You're not all babies that need spoonfed everything here on the forum are you? If one person had did that then they could have come back and shared the information and been a help instead of being a little wah wah baby about it all. Ok so someone blooped and it's not the first time and I don't think it will be the last time but the moment it was spotted it was sorted out and yet the person who sorted it gets jumped on by all the playground bullies.1 point
