  1. It's complete rubbish. TB was angry after the game, but only because of the amount of chances that we scorned. He wasn't even rising to the bait about Bobby Madden. Contrast that with Kenny Sheils interview, which was off the planet. Make no mistake, we thumped kilmarnock tonight - we had over 20 shots at goal, they had one on target. When you see the replay of Sissoko's foul on McKay, it was as blatant a penalty as you will ever see. The tactics, which as far as I could see were to play our usual passing game, worked. There was no need for a plan B, because we passed through them at ease. They then scored at at a time where reacting was out of the question anyway. As far as subs go, Sutherland was simply replacing tired legs, so it was immaterial as to when or where he came on. He simply had a job to do in his area of the pitch. Devine for A Shinnie was ok for me - devine plays a good passing game from what I have seen and I think that 70 minutes or so is all we can expect from Shinnie after his injury at Killie in the cup. We missed Foran tonight, he might have converted one or two in his area at the far post, but we should have been out of sight at half time. Loss of form? No. Loss of confidence? No. Just an inability to put the game to bed when we should have. Unless we forget, we are still second in the SPL (our highest placing ever) and we have reached the semi of a national competition. That's something to celebrate.

  2. Yet again its all Butchers fault, he had the wrong tactics, wrong subs, hit a fan....... get a grip of yourselves. We were playing a team that was in good form in the SPL and had 1 shot!! 1 all night and somehow its gone in. I really don't know what more he could of done to have us win the game. Not so long ago we would be sitting there watching us repeatedly hoof the ball and come back on here praising Christie and Brewster for a well earned point. Yes its frustrating but i'm afraid this happens in football. Its not the substitutions fault. Killie have been 1 down for over an hour and they've seeen we've missed a tonne of chances. They've pushed on in the last 2 minutes and scored with there only shot. I think we realisticly have to expect a team to have 1 shot against us in a game, unfortunatley for us they got it and scored it at the most frustrating time. If it had gone over or wide would anyone have cared, I thought we should have cleared the cross and the shot would never have happened. We would be on here praising a really good performance and the only thing we'd be moaning about is not taking our chances yet again. I'm not saying you shouldn't critiscise the guy, but there seems to be people on this website who's whole point in posting is just to constantly critisice and look for ridiculous conspiracy theories at every time. Rumouring that he punched someone without the facts in my opinion is an absolute disgrace. Maybe Pep Guardiola or Jose Mourinho will be available next time we need a manager. But i'm sure even they will be tactically inept compared to some of the expert tactical geniuses on here.

  3. Usually when someone starts a new topic, it's to highlight a point or discuss something they're in favour of. I think I'll start a topic later on whether or not ICT should change the shirt design to green and yellow polka dots with orange and pink tie-die shorts and socks with flowers on. I'm personally against it, but you know what some people are like!

  4. Amazing how some fans think it's perfectly acceptable for fans to sit and shout abuse at anyone (be they on the pitch or at pitch side) for 90 minutes without recrimination...yet the moment one of those people reacts they are some kind of disgrace.

  5. A season of regrets??? Sheesh, you'd be fun at a party. So far, it's the greatest season we've ever had! 7th or above and it's a major success. To be anywhere near the top four would be unbelievable!!!

  6. He shouldn't be getting involved in these arguments with the fans in the first place, its not the first time.

  7. Aye, we'd all happily sit at our work and listen to people hurling abuse at us without reacting because it would be "unprofessional" to do so!!! Right or wrong, we all have our breaking point when it comes to suffering the opinions of fools. You'd have to be a total moron to think that it's acceptable to live your life that way, and that it won't have repercussions. This was not Terry reacting to a single comment, this was him reacting to one of a few people who are in his ear week in, week out and who never have anything positive to contribute. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but if/when you give it then you are also entitled to the response.

  8. While I'm sure it's frustrating for Terry Butcher, having shouting matches with fans who have good enough to pay to go to the game does not reflect well on him. Whether he's in the right or not, it's unprofessional IMO.

  9. I agree , lets all try & be a bit more positive , Ok we are disapointed we didnt get the win but we werent beaten either & a points a point the first in 4 games !...could that have signalled the end of our wee blip ? i really hope so we were the dominant team & as TB has said " if we play like that then we'll win more than we'll lose " .. also lets not forget to applaud Nick Ross i think with all the moaning people have forgotten to give him a bit of credit ... just back from injury .. 2 games 2 goals ! .... :clapping: .... & We're half way through February & still 2nd place ! MON THE CALEY !!

  10. It's funny how the same result can generate such different emotional reactions: 1-1 like last night - gutted, angry. 1-1 bog standard even game - indifference, ach well. 1-1 snatching an undeserved late point. What a great feeling, buzzing. And yet if we are rational, last night's scenario is actually the best of the 3 options because we showed a degree of dominance and good football that bodes well for future games, we showed that we were clearly the better team and therefore should carry more optimism than if we'd been outplayed and just got lucky.

  11. True but in the heat of the moment and when you are disappointed, easier said that done when some idiot shouts abuse at you. There were a few comments from fans at the end of the game directed at Butcher from the main stand that were just ridiculous. Some fans really do need to get a grip and take a long hard look at themselves. I wonder why some of them even come to see us as some of these fans I have yet to hear shout anything positive or encouraging towards the team at all.

  12. Our "Prime Target" is/was always 11th with anything else being a bonus. Anything other than that is a goal. Seems that some of our fans are letting our success so far this season go to their heads and expectations are getting a little out of control.

  15. Are the memories of those virtual red dots still hard to take. Must have been very traumatic. You start a thread about panic buttons becasue your not panicing but you know what people on here are like...ok then.

  16. Every team has a wee reversal of fortunes during the season. For the good teams it is called "a slump" for the poor teams it is called "going on a wee run" or such like. We'll be back to winning ways soon enough. And by the same token c*unty will be back to being keeck. It's all good. http://www.quotecollection.com/author-images/kenneth-williams-3.jpg

  17. our goal this season was not to get relegated to straight away were are punching above our weight, also we are still second in the league we made it further in both cups than we did last season and every team has to have a slump every season and this is ours. So no we do not need a panic button and we won't for the rest of the season

  18. This is almost as good as your thread demanding Butcher's sacking after the 6-0 match away to Celtic. A match, I'll hasten to add, you didn't attend. Ken?

  20. Im just waiting on the 'is Butcher the man for the job' thread to be resurrected. Some people have opinions that will not be changed, no matter the good work done.

  21. I've read this thread about 5 or 6 times now and can't make head nor tail of it.

  22. Really? Have to disagree there, we have certain players who are better than Killie have such as Shinnies, Doran for creativity but around the other areas the players are similarly matched at best and thats with Killie having several players out such as Bell & Sheridan. But we don't play on paper thankfully..............what we have is workload and effort combined with developing talents.

  24. TB certainly did not punch anyone and to even say "reports" mentioned it is ridiculous and scandalous. It was all live on the radio with Jim Spence reporting it. There were raised voices and bad language but no violence.

  25. Disappointed but hey it is another point in the right direction. Someone is going to get a battering some time soon I just feel it. 8 games to go and all to play for. I tell you what I would far prefer to be in our position today than any of the 10 teams below us.

  26. Plenty of clear chances to win the game and all of a sudden a couple of late subs cost us the 3 points? We battered them tonight and couldn't finish. Simple as, no need for histrionics or complaints about tactics. Can you tell me how many more clear chances we would have had with different tactics? Killie were very poor, Plan A was working again, however we couldn't effing SCORE. We were robbed tonight and I doubt SAF would have been able to influence what happened on the park. Still very frustrated but cat has been kicked, sulk is over and just hope we get our shooting boots back.

  27. Very disappointed after watching that. Chance after chance wasted. Fair play to the boys were are playing some nice football and along the ground. We are getting into tight space and making good chances for ourselves but we are missing them. What really annoys me is that when we get into space outside the box, we just fanny about with it - Just have a dig. That Killie goalkeeper was really dodgy at times and we should have pelted them on target. Need to take a leaf out of OTJ's book on long range shots! Terry's substitutions really baffle me at times. I personally think players that are on the bench need to come on far earlier in the game than the 80th minute. How the heck is Shane Sutherland (who is played out of position) supposed to make an impact in 4 minutes? Billy McKay was really struggling vs Sissoko. Personally with Shane's height, we could done with having him up front. The game should have been finished before the 80th minute and Killie didn't really deserve the point. We really need to get three points at Fir Park.

  28. No point in slagging of TB, the game plan was good, we tore them apart but couldn't score. Not the manager's fault in any way, the game should have been put to bed by half time. Frustration all round but lets get back to togetherNess and will this hard working team on to victory at Motherwell. Every point is going to count even more now. Come on ICT

  29. Wow! Gosh, really? Somebody call Gordon Strachan at once. If aberdeen want him he must be really good then.

  30. Yea I agree if we put him upfront with billy I think it could work well. As Shane is a great player but needs more of a chance.

  31. Just enjoy the ride folks!! Enjoying my football this season. The comment about the draws is not entirely fair IMO for instance at Tynecastle we scored in the last minute to get a draw. At Easter Rd we came back from 2 down to get a draw and at Tannadice we were 3 down to earn a draw. Can't believe that folk are still critical at the moment. I for one am proud at being second! Given where we live and our budget it's great we are doing so well.
