  1. To all offenders (if we have any on here)- enough with the kind requests. Get your fingers out and get these guys paid. They are giving up a huge amount of their own time to organise YOUR transport. They have a day out to plan and enjoy too.
  2. Just because we have released a cup final song doesn't have any affect on the atmosphere on Sunday. The atmosphere on Sunday is going to be phenomenal - I can gaurantee that.

My colleague is an ICT fan and we have been giving each other a good bit of stick in the run up to the game, however, it's just a bit of fun. I appreciate it seems strange that I'm on here wishing ICT well, but I have absolutely no ill feeling towards the club in any shape or form. I'm delighted they are in a final. It's a great story. Obviously I'm hoping for a Dons win, but if not, then so be it. Armageddon they said when Rangers went bust, I think they are full of sh1t and I'm loving it. Us going to head to head in the final with an attendance of around 50k is magnificent. Great for Scottish Football, if Celtic buggered off as they keep bleating on about, what a healthy SPFL we would have, any one of 6 or 7 teams could genuinely win the league. Our clubs very much included.

    Seems like a fair swap.

Hi all, Aberdeen supporter here in peace. Have been browsing your forum in the build up to the big game on Sunday. And have been keeping an eye on the results for obvious reasons. A couple of points though as to why I signed up. Firstly, I think it's an excellent sight seeing 2 non-old firm teams in a final. Especially given the resources Celtic have over the rest of us, it pleases me greatly. Secondly, Easy for me to say I guess, but I wouldn't read too much into your last couple of results, a final as you will know is a big occasion and a one off game. Anything can happen. Thirdly, I have been a bit disappointed that a few posters on here are under the impression we feel all we need to do is turn up and win the final. Granted, every set of support will have the odd idiot who will make claims such as the one I just mentioned, but I'd like to point out the majority of us are well aware that this is going to be a very tight game. It really could go either way, we both have players that on their day, will hurt opposition. We need Hayes, Rooney, McGinn and Pawlett to be at their very best whilst keeping tight at the back, whereas, If Doran, Ross & McKay play to their maximum, we will have plenty to worry about. Add to that, I'm a huge fan of Greg Tansey, and from what I can gather, he's been one of the better players since re-signing recently. No-one is just going to turn up and win this final gents(and ladies?) And I for one, am pretty nervous. However, I sincerely hope that the best team wins the cup on the day, and whilst I hope it is ourselves, if not, then ICT will get my congratulations. Anyway, all the best guys, seriously. See you on Sunday :)
  6. Caley Jags Together You deserve all the plaudits coming your way for the huge effort you have put in on this venture to make it a great success. Many thanks from a poor old exile who will only be scarting around looking for some online video on the day.
  7. Nice try Red Chappie but you blew it by making reference to all your Inverness based fans having used their allocation. There were no such restrictions. For what it's worth, I sympathise and personally believe your fans should have been given more tickets.

Meekings was terrible for those 1st 2 goals. Caught badly out of position for the 1st and put all the pressure on the keeper for the 2nd. True, Brill could have just kicked it out, but so could Meekings, instead of the backpass. He had no chance with the penalty and little with the others. Only really one of 4 goals he can really be blamed for. The same with the Celtic game. But when you're getting peppered with shots with no real protection there's always the chance you might make one mistake. Goalies are in the worst position for blame as 1 mistake can lead to a goal against so easily. But Brill has been, well, brill' this season and 1 or 2 errors do not change this. He has been a great signing considering he was relatively unknown. Even the best make mistakes.
  9. Happily see them relegated through the play off position, this is highly unlikely due to it being very weighted in favour of the premiership side however which I'm sure we'll be relieved about next season when we are rooted in it.
  10. Where are the closest churches ?
  11. Update for all games played this season (33) 3 games finished 0-0, so obviously no first goal. We score first win 16 draw 3 lose 0 They score first win 0 draw 2 lose 9 Although a cliché, the first goal really does seem to be so significant to the eventual outcome!
  12. Don't think I will be wearing the sheepskin jacket to the game...

Get a fire retardant label of a chair in your house and sew it neatly on and you will get it in.

We've switched from a back four with two defensive midfielders to a back four with no defensive midfielders. Hence, the heavy defeats. It's not an unexplainable loss of form.
  15. Dougal, Ross County play in bloody Dingwall. How is this possibly a better stadium location, than well, ANYWHERE?

Rule is they are banned for the game immediately after, no competition specifics (ie Hibs) and the next competition relevant game (Scottish Cup)
  18. We should start like this (presuming we kick-off): And no, I'm not joking!
  19. It is indeed an 'adage'. But only that. A comprehensive study was done on this presumption - summarised in a book about football fallacies (forgotten its name). But it dismisses the idea of being vulnerable after scoring. Comprehensive statistics show it's a complete myth! The other notable observation from the study was that, despite fans rousing their team on after securing a corner, a goal only occurs roughly once in every 30 corners!
  20. Tickets still not arrived is it time to panic? Panic over sorted now phew

Enjoy your day, but not too much! As an exiled Invernessian who has lived in Aberdeen for longer than I care to remember my family are split this week-end. Even my five year old grandson's giving me pelters. I take my hat off to your post and responses and may the best team on the day with the cojones for the fight shine through!!

Hi mainstander. I'm only 27, I haven't witnessed the Dons win anything in my time supporting them. I was just a laddy in 95 and don't remember it. I have supported them through absolute dross but wouldn't change it for the world. I am slightly annoyed that these same fans you mention wont turn up to home games and help us generate promising funds that would maybe attract quality players. On the flipside, ICT will benefit from the number of tickets of sold. Also, I'm not sure the exact number of tickets ICT have sold, but I believe its around 7500, that is a bit of a rise from your average attendance as well, not a dig, just what happens when teams reach finals, a lot of fans will turn up that don't usually turn up.
  23. I'm in the minority with Jeepsaw!
  24. Brill Raven Devine Meekings Tremarco Foran Shinnie Doran Vincent Ross Mckay First of all we have to go back to 4-2-3-1. Devine has to get some first team game time under his belt, so he comes in for Warren. Vincent showed on Sunday he simply isn't disciplined enough to play that role in front of the back four so Shinnie comes into there as the legs alongside Foran. We've played our best football with Vincent playing just in behind Billy so makes sense to return to that.
  25. So you reckon we can score 5?
  26. It could get a good deal more lethal late at night on the way down...
  27. decided that i will go to pub listen to yogi say 4-4-2 and we will give it a go and stay in the pub for the duration of match
  28. Get on the Cup Special train at Inverness. Get thrown off at Aviemore by BTP.
  29. Sir John Moore, train to Rutherglen and meet hopefully a couple of hundred ICT peeps then game. Few beers after whatever the result.
  30. And you're one of those fans that chose Ross County over us. I'd rather have Ross County in the top league than Rangers.
  31. Could it not be that Dougal and his mates are in the North Stand when Tinkerville visit but throng in to the Jail End every other weekend ?
